Really? You have obviously never had an abcessed tooth. Do you really think two ibuprofen takes the pain away? No offense but you are an idiot for even posting that.

You should not be encouraging people to ovetdose. (1) 800 mg. Ibuprofen is all you should take at one time.

You shouldn't take that much ibuprofen because you can damage your kidneys. But if you do it anyway then drink lots of water. A common cause of kidney failure is from dehydration combined with medications that are broken down in the kidneys, such as ibuprofen. Also, if you are going to drink a lot of water, then you are better off drinking diet gatorade or powerade as they have the salts that will prevent water toxity. By a lot, I mean a gallon of water or more. Water follows a salt concentration. It is called osmosis. When you drink a lot of water, then you have more salt in your cells so your water goes into the cells. If you take too much salts then the water leaves your cells and goes into the abdomen where the salt is. A balance of both is what is desired because then the water will stay where it is. Good luck on the pain relief. I have an abscessed tooth and swelling on my lower mandible. It hurts like crazy. The other day I had a shot of whiskey to help me cope with it better. For me, a shot of whiskey is like taking a demerol or valium.
