I have had stretch marks since my preteen years. I seem to gain more when my weight fluctuates throughout the years and I have horrible stretch marks on my thighs. I have tried bio oil and that hasn't worked for me. I am now using a coffee/brown sugar/coconut oil body scrub and it is working wonderfully. I moisturize with coconut oil daily after showering and I have a dermaroller that I use every 2 to 3 weeks. I know this is going to take time, but I am seeing improvement with this combination. I may also purchase a stretch mark cream to see if it will speed up the process.
