Well, I think I spoke to soon about my 'P'. It came back worse. It's like it gets immune to the stuff you use on it. So I am back to the drawing board. I am going to try to take some different advice and try to kick psoriasis butt from the inside out. Will see what happens and how it goes. (I am not very good at watching what I eat, but am really going to try hard.)

great! we will give you plenty of support. just small changes can make a big difference. instead of milk use rice milk. instead of red meat use chicken or turkey. instead of ice cream or candy use sweet fruits like organic grapes or apples. remember drink distilled water that will flush a lot of toxins out of your system. the 'p' diet works. it just takes time. you didn't get 'p' overnight so it won't go away overnight. good luck:)

I take a shot every 3 months for my psoriasis. It's Stelara and my daughter takes Enbrel shots every week. I've also used Humira but I stayed sick on it all the time.

amy: humira, enbrel, stelara all suppress your immune system. (definition of immune system is a network of cells, tissues and organs working together to protect your body from attacks by germs, bacteria, viruses, and disease) does that sound like something you want to suppress. thats why you kept getting sick. so your going from a cosmetic skin disease to stelara side effects of increase risk of cancer, seizures, difficulty breathing, tightness of chest and throat, and RASH (the thing your trying to get rid of in the first place. please get off these poisons i beg you. all you have to do is change your diet and make some lifestyle changes and you won't have to use anything. you have to control 'p' from inside your body. i am living proof diet works. i use no creams, immune system suppressors, nothing. just diet. let me know what i can do to help you and your daughter.

while getting your humira, enbrel and stelara shots. you may want to ask your doctor if it contains the preservative thimerosal. thimerosal contains 50% mercury (classified as hazardous material)(2nd most toxic metal known to man, linked to heart disease, autism, seizures, mental retardation, dyslexia and hyperactivity (which then we give our kids ritalan)). there was a school in georgia that had 80% of the kids on ritalan. not a typo 80%. they had parents come to the school and talk to a teacher with a doctor there. saying they wanted to help the kid and give them 'medicine'. the doctor refused to call it drugs! criminal. how many of you get flu shots every year? another yearly dose of mercury? i never got a flu shot and never will. you'll have to take my word on this but i have not got sick in over 20 years other than a runny nose. thats how i know my lifestyle is working. personally i'd rather have the flu than mercury wreaking havoc on my nervous system. its not normal to get sick thats your bodies way of telling something is out of balance. do we even have to talk about gardasil (HPV) paralyzing our future mothers. this all ties back to 'p' more toxins overloading our immune system. oh right the pharmacutical companies say their vaccines contain acceptable amounts of mercury. really there is no acceptable amount, don't insult my intelligence. do your research, stay informed and question your doctors. good luck :)

I have well water, not city water, so I am not gettting all the chemicals that are in city water. I already do chicken and turkey. Not sure about rice milk, will have to try it. If I could just get it healed on my hands/fingers that would be wonderful!!

we have well water too but we are in an agricultural area so all the pesticides maybe leaching into your water. if you can afford distilled water is best. h2o nothing else. rice milk is most similar in consistancy to cows milk and a million times easier on your digestive system. casien a protien in milk caused cancer in rats in the largest nutritional study ever conducted. greek yogurt now has double the protien (double the cancer risk). for your hands use natural soaps and shampoos. many of these products have so many chemicals. if you use anti-bacterial soap with triclosan that has been linked to eczema (similar to 'p'), hormonal problems and when mixed with chlorine from your water produces chloroform. dangerous especially when bathing. watch your sugar intake, no artificial sweetners, plenty of organic raw fruits and vegetables. lets kick 'p' butt and show it who is boss :)

My sister has very bad psoriasis. She says it itches very bad and it's inflamed. What should she do and what is the diet to help with this. Thanks!

the diet was posted on 07-13-12. look down about 3 or 4 blogs. starts with i had 'p' for 25 years. read the posts also, i have a lot of supplemental info. she didn't get this over night so it won't go away overnight. the diet lets the body heal itself. lets start the healing process without these drugs that do more harm than good. and ironically make your 'p' worse. good luck :)

I have been trying to make small changes in my diet as I go. I haven't drank any pop, just water, tea and occasionally lemonade. I started taking flaxseed oil and super B complex in addition to the D vit. and zinc I was already taking. My hands are the biggest problem. They crack and bleed. Of course I have to uses my hands all the time. Then I wash my hands, put lotion on....and the cycle starts again. I wear gloves when I can, but not always a practical alternative. I just don't know what to do. I'm embarrassed for people to see my hands, I hate to shake hands or anything like that because they are so rough. Just frustrated with 'P'.

janet what kind of soap and lotion do you wash your hands with? what brand lemonade do you buy? flaxseed oil is good but a fish source is better absorbed by the body. we will start eliminating triggers for your skin. try to just get natural sunlight on your skin that produces vitamin d3 better than vitamin d in pill form. just don't burn. don't use suntan lotion. its actually toxic and gets into your bloodstream. stay positive :)
