I didn't have fresh garlic ot a crusher, but I found garlic powder in my cabinet. Well I figured it would be good to add some different solutions I found here to see if it would work with the powder.

First I took 4 ibuprofen and 2 aleve. This actually didn't help very much at all. Very annoying.

After that, I mixed garlic powder, salt, and paprika. I added a bit of water to make a slurry-ish. I just got that and swirled it around the area of the toothache.

Worked in a few minutes like a charm and it's been working for over two hours, not even a little pain. I love it :) I'm going to make sure I always have these three things in my cabinet from now on!

I have had ongoing dental issue's for a while now with no insurance and no funds to see a dentist. 3 teeth with holes, 2 broken in half and one back tooth with the top completely rotted off. Sporadic pain for the last year and just recently a solid week of unforgiving pain that refuses to let up. Been trying everything, peroxide rinses, more aspirin then i care to admit, tea bags on the gums, vicodin, anything and everything just to relieve the pain. Yes some worked but it was always very short lived, hour or so then rinse and repeat. Upon trying this remedy the relief as immediate like a peroxide rinse but very long lasting, going on a full day now with lasting results. I'm sure it will start up again but iv'e already a mix in the waiting. :) Very appreciative of this remedy and can't thank you enough!

I have been in severe pain for days. I had a root canal 'started' and was to be finished in two weeks. I started hurting. The RC was done on Dec 19th started hurting the 23rd which was Sunday. Naturally I got no reply from my dentist. I was hurting so badly. Taking something literally every two hours for a couple days. I tried the
garlic fix. It did help. My pain went from about a 10 to 4. I was able to function. I see the dentist tomorrow the 27th. It wasn't a good Christmas for me. Hurt to bad to eat. However, regardless of the fowl taste and how bad the breath offends. This remedy is a keeper. I've been doing it for the past couple days. I recommend giving it a try if your in pain. Hell anything is better than feeling like that. I was desperate and oddly enuff the garlic works.

I used garlic powder, salt, and warm water. Rinsed my mouth about 5 times. After the 3rd time it started to burn real bad. the pain slowly went away, but my tooth ached so badly my brain swears the pain is there.

This worked better than orajel, Tylenol pm, and ib. But my breath stinks

This really worked! I have had issues with a tooth for awhile. Usually oil-pulling with coconut oil does the trick. If it still bothered me I would use clove oil. Last night it started throbbing. I was seriously considering pulling the tooth out it hurt so bad. None of my usual tricks were working. And I started trying most of the others on here, the bread, swishing with alcohol. I'd get only about 15 minutes of relief. This is what worked for me and I was able to sleep all night. This morning there was a slight dull ache, so I swished again, this time with just the garlic and salt water and it feels great. Guess I will finally be making that trip to the dentist I have been putting off for so long (definitely don't want another night like last). Thank you SO much for getting me through this!!!!

Awesome...woke up at 2am becos of swolen gum intense toothache, got online and read this. Aleve couldnt do the job, I had only garlic salt powder so i mixed it with paparika and added 100% lemon juice to make slurry since i read lemon also can do the trick, I put the mixture on a swab stick, applied to my gum and bit on the stick and held for 5mins. Repeated 3x and i'm ready to sleep at 2:45am...THanks!!!

OMFG I love you SO much! I've been dealing with dental issues for sometime now, and am going to the dentist after some money I'm expecting comes in. However, that won't be for a few days. :(

The tooth bothering me is on the bottom row up front, so pretty much any food, liquid, or air that goes into my mouth touches the tooth. It's currenlt 3:51 in the morning and the pain has kept me awake, slowly driving me insane. Upon finding this and seeing how much it has helped others, I decided to try it. Sadly, I didn't have any garlic, but I did find about a tablespoon of clove powder. I mixed that with the salt and cayenne pepper and, after a few minutes, the pain was gone!

My bf has the day off, so I'll be getting him to take me to the store for more cloves and some garlic. I cannot begin to express my gratitude! THANK YOU x 1.000.000!!!

I am a mother of two young children and my husband works nights. For the last 3 days I have had the worst toothache in the world like wipe me off my feet with pressure on my cheek. I looked for something to help me because ibuprofen, aleve nor tylenol 3s are working. Tried the hot water bottle the cold water bottle the lemon the tea and nothing prevails. I need to be back on my feet without this stabbing pain I have in my tooth!! I am going to try this remedy and I good it works for ne as well as it seems to have worked for many of you. Will post after I try this.
