I hope this rememdie helps my puppy. I just noticed the beginning of a flea infestation on my puppy. I have a husky and boxer as well. Would LOVE to know the recipe for this so I can treat all dogs. Thanks! My email is allyoh87@hotmail.com

Like all of you, I didn't get the recipe e-mailed to me so I started trying different amounts (based on other remedies I saw). This is what I used today and have seen success.

8 oz. apple cider vinegar
4 oz. warm water
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

I mixed the dry ingredients and slowly added them to the vinegar/water solution. Be very careful though, they will have a reaction. (In fact, I kept adding until it started to bubble out of my spray bottle).

I then followed the suggestion and put my dog in the bathtup and misted the mixture all over her and let it set. I sprayed my hand and then wiped it around her little face, because I noticed the fleas ran to wherever they could to get away from the spray. Be very careful not to get in the eyes.

I then rinsed it off and then shampooed her with Dawn.

This is the second time in a week I've done this - (the first time I tried a 50/50 water & vinegar solution and a 1/3 tsp mixture of each of the dry ingredients. There was definitely success the first time, but even more the second time. Today there were several dead fleas in the bathtub.

I used this same mixture and sprayed her collar and pet bed.

Based on another recommendation for the carpets, we used a 50/50 solution of baking soda and salt and let it set for a day or two before vacuuming it up. It's ok if it gets tracked in the house because it just spreads it out. and the salt dehydrates the fleas.

Hope you all have some success.

Evelyn
