When I got my first UTI, it was a bit uncomfortable, then in a matter of 3 hours it got so bad that I had to rush to the doctor. He gave me this advice: Drink 5ml baking soda in a glass of water (down it to avoid the bad taste) then after 30 minutes, add 10ml pure lemon juice to a glass of water and drink it as fast as possible. He also told me to buy pills named 'De Witt's'. I am not 100% sure if it's available anywhere else in the world, but it's a snall blue pill which contains Dry Buchu Extracts and Bearberry extract. I took 2 of those pills with the lemon juice, and by the time I went to bed, I was pain-free and had none of the symptoms! It helped a lot.

I've had UTI's my whole life and this is the only thing that has ever worked for me. Both of my daughters have inherited them and it works for them too... Thank you for letting everyone else know too...

Thanks for this article! I'm trying to deal with the early beginnings of a bladder infection so I appreciate the suggestions (which sound very reasonable) & I'm following the suggested dosage of baking soda & lemon juice. I don't have the next 2 items (from a health food store I'm assuming) but we'll see what happens by morning.

I have suffered with Uti's since I was around 16, I am now 23!
It has gotten that na recently that this current case has lasted four weeks.
I was admitted to hospital because of high temperatures and frequently passing out and vomiting. They thought I had kidney problems so I was sent for numerous tests, they shows a sign of infection so I had antibiotics and two days later my blood showed signs of gettin better so I was discharged. That was two weeks ago, my doctor is useless I have been to him and said the antibiotics didn't work or else I wouldn't feel the need to go all the time and wee frequently during the night, I ended up crying at his desk not that he cared so he sent another specimen of my urine off for examination I then got a call yesterday from the hospital telling me that I will be referred on!
Thank The Lord! However I am currently awake as I am in pain and have been all day :( I just am fed up of this ruling my life and people always think I'm mad and making it up but it's comforting to know that I'm not the only woman with this problem.
I have recently ordered d-mannose it's a tablet from a herbal point of view and I have read wonders about its ability to eliminate bad E. coli from bladder and stop infections! I am currently also taking cranberry tablets as cranberry juice is too bitter for my taste !
I am finally thankful that I will see a specialist who could help! Antibiotics don't work and so I'm hoping he might be able to get to the bottom of it!
To all you women who suffer I am terribly sorry and I know how you feel, I wish you every luck in finding the right cure for you!

Take care

I have a bladder infection right now and am very stressed.but I do have buchu tea so I'm hoping it helps.I just want to say I've had bladder infections my entire life, however, the past 3years every single month.I eventually went to a urologist to discover my urethra was too narrow.recovering from the procedure.its been a month & now I'm feeling symptoms.BUT I didn't drink water today.this would be the reason I'm feeling this way.
