Hi everyone! I am so so grateful for this site! but everyone, I have a question? Most of you seem to describe that you have pain down there, do any of you feel extreme itchiness? because i've felt much more itch than I have pain, i can't even walk w/o feeling itchy. I am 16 and haven't been diagnosed by a doctor but I am 99% sure I have it. Because I got what I think was an outbreak a day after my boyfriend performed oral sex on me and have gotten what I think are outbreaks twice since then. I have been itchy for the past 3 days and don't know what to do! I took an epsom salt bath and it worked but only for so long. I need stuff you can find at home! I don't have money to buy stuff like propolis and I can't tell my mom what I have! please help!!! thank you all! stay strong!

Hello dear. Try and purchase some Vagesille wipes for itching. That may help a great deal. Another option is hydrocortisone over the counter.

Go to your local health store buy a bottle of Lysine ( an amino acid ) it will help with the itch & pain & you will have fewer outbreaks . keep your erges for nuts & dairy low as they have been known to bring on breakouts . Lysine is inexspensive , safe & effective ( when taken as direted )

Propolis is only $13 at the health food store. I just started using it this week so I havent seen any results yet.

You should really talk to your mom about this. If you do have herpes you will have this for the rest of your life, there's no getting around that (yet). I'm sure your mother will be upset but she'll be the support you need. My mom was at the doctors with me when I was diagnosed and I don't know what I would have done without her love and support and nonjudgements.

Sweetie, you need to go to the doctor and find out for sure what it is. If it is something like Syphilis, then you can cure it with anitbiotics and it won't come back! If untreated, it will get worse. Your long term health depends on it. You can go to your local public health department or Planned Parenthood for care. Please don't hesitate. They can treat you without your mom there! I got herpes when I was 18, and endured the whole first horrible outbreak with no care, because I was too afraid to tell my parents. If I lived near you I would take you myself!

sweetie i totally understand that you dont want to tell you mom. I am 17 and i just recently got diagnosed with it last month. my doctor called my mom and she was the one that had to tell me. Ever since ive found out it has been very hard for me to deal with but with out my mom being right there by my side through this i dont know what i would of done. It's not going to be easy at all telling her something this big but i can almost promise you that you wont regret her knowing. Wheni had my 1st outbreak and i showed it to her she wasnt mad or upset and surely didnt judge me she immediately took me to get tested, and since ive been diagnosed me and my mom have become the best of friends. i would suggest your 1st step to be telling her so she can help you take you to a doctor and then she can help you with the things to reduce outbreaks. i wish the best of luck to you!

The same thing happened to me. Apparently I'm one of the rare ones who never contracted hsv1 aka cold sores so when my then bf went down on me he gave it to me. He had no visible cold sores and claims he never had them ever but he was the only one I was with
Get tested so you know. Its not the end of the world if you have hsv1 because the majority of people have it anyways.

You could also be having a yeast infection. These are very itchy, buy Monistat at the pharmacy.
