4 Comments for the Poison Ivy Home Remedy

There is a plant called Jewel weed that is a natural remedy. It is found in damp places in the spring after poison ivy has grown. It is like Aloe where you break the stalk and a thick juice comes out. It will clear up poison ivy in a day.
Those that suffer each year from poison ivy can preserve in in jars for early spring attacks.
Freezing will not work.

I heard about Jewel Weed (touch me not) for poison ivy. We ran the whole plant through a blender and made a paste. Used it on my Grand Daughter and it worked. We have some in a jar in the refrigerator for future use. I don't know how long it will keep.

I worked in a bar for many years and one of my first nations friends told me to use the touch me nots as I was covered in PI from head to toe. I went out after my shift and found some of the plant. I squeezed out the juices and put on the PI. Right away it started to work and within a few days my PI was completly gone. It was like a miracle.
