If your Dog has symptoms of mange or other skin condition use: 1% Hydrogen Peroxide mixed in water then add Borax laundry soap. Wash your dog with this every week for 2 months or until skin is clear. ALSO: DON'T WASH THIS OFF OF THE DOG, LET IT STAY ON!

The Borax and Peroxide mange treatment was taken from Ted's cure from Earth Clinic. He is the original person who came up with this solution.

I just want to thank everyone for the great comments. Someone threw a dog at my mom's backyard, knowing she is the dog lady. The chihuahua has mange just by the sight of it. Neither mom nor I can afford a vet, but I couldn't think of where to take this poor animal to take care of this problem. Now I know what needs to be done. Take the dog home and try this solution. Will keep you posted. Thanks again

This website helped my family pet, Midnight is one of my favorite cats i have until he got mange. He started loosing his hair and soon he looked like he was apart of an exercism, and no one wanted to look at him, touch him, or play with him, soon after he struggled to breathe and now he can barley chew his food. Until I found this website, THANK YOU for your helpful tips and comments, and now Midnight looks like a new cat.

Thanks so much. My little girl found a puppy and it covered in mange. I will try this and see how it works. I heard that mange is scabies to people. If so how long till she can play with the puppy?

I posted on here quite a few months ago. One and half year old boxer. Used this every other day to once a week. Put him back on the Ivomec. No avail.
I finally took him to a different vet. He has allergies. His ears became infected so he has been on a steroid, antibiotic, benedryl, and fungicide. She is keeping him on the antibiotic for 4 weeks due to it being either staph or yeast infection that has infected his skin. Causing hair loss that looks like mange. (Allergies sometimes causes odd hair loss on the ears also.)If nothing seems to be working, please make sure you get a second opinion. I spent alot of time, mess, and money on treatments that probably made him more miserable. His hair is growing back and this is the best he has looked in over a year.

I was given this dog when he was 4 months old. The parent, I guess, didn't want to deal with the fact that he was sick. He is a shi tzu. Beautiful dog, black and white. I look up this websit two weeks ago and tried the home remedie. And it's working! I have given him two baths with this and he seems so much more at ease. I can see some hair growing back. I'm so excited. I have even bathed my two other dogs with it as well. They have even stopped itching and bitting at themselves. Thanks so much. If anyone reads this. IT REALLY WORKS!

I started this treatment solution with borax and water and perioxide on 6-9-2008 and my american bulldog looks 95% much better.I mixed 2 cups of 20 Mule team Borax powder to about 6 to 8 gallons of water in the bathtub, adding 1 bottle 16 FL. oz. (1 Pint) of Hydrogen Peroxide . I pre washed my dog first with a dandruff shampoo that contains 1% selenium sulfate ,left it on her for about 5 min and rinsed well with water, then did the treatment.I wish I had taken some before pictures of her before starting the treatment, she was really bad looking, had huge sores and bald patches everwhere on her body.I also had been feeding her the OlRoy name brand dogfood and I have changed her from it to a lot better brand and increased her fatty intakes. I would not give any oral medicines or shots to any dog that has the mange, their immune system is weak, that`s the reason for getting the mites.Their immune system is working in over drive trying to fight the mites and mange.
My advice is not to use the dips and meds that the vets prescribe, try to heal your dog as much as possible without adding anymore stress.Start the treatment with the borax solution and change the food to a higher natural fatty balance diet, try giving your dog some over the counter dog vitamins once a day, make your dogs bathing experiences fun while treating the mange.Wash your dog weekly with the solution, continue doing this for about 4-5 weeks and the hair will start growing back. You can add a drop of veg oil or mineral oil into the eyes when giving the wash and the eyes will be protected.I will keep you posted with weekly updates.

Does this work for cats?

This method worked for my dog. I was never told it was mange, but when i adopted him, he had bald spots. Those went away just bathing him, but then some came back in different parts of his body. My friend brought up that it might be mange, not wanting to pay an vet to confirm or have me pay extra money for their methods of treatment, I said what the heck, let me try this method of Borax and Peroxide. I bathed him ever 3-4 days for 2 1/2 weeks and IT WORKED. Right away, the itching went away, his hair was growing back in a matter of days, and he was alot happier.

I did this for about 4 baths and have not had his hair fall out since. He has been with us since April 08 and i did this at the end of May.

I love this website and have found every method that i have tried for different things WORK.
