steroids, enbrel, humira, petroleum jelly bleach !!!!!!!!! are you kidding me. i've had 'p' for 25 years. everything i recommend or say is my own opinion and works for me you will have to do your own research and experimentation.

most of the recommendations here take care of the symptoms not the problem. steroids thin your skin over time, enbrel and humira suppress your immune system (definition of immune system - network of cells, tissues and organs working together to protect the body from attacks by germs, bacteria and disease) does that sound like something you want to suppress. for the love of god go to clorox bleach website and look at the safety tab (don't allow children to touch the treated area while drying, wear gloves when cleaning, bleach will corrode metal parts!) i dont use bleach products to clean much less take a bath.

there is no quick miracle cure for 'p'. these creams and babies butt aid only control the symptoms not the cause. temporary relief. you can only control it through diet. dr. john paganoes book is good reference material but for me is incomplete.

first thing is go 100% organic. there is too much crap (pesticides, hormones and unlisted ingredients) in processed foods which is hard on your immune system.

do a body cleanse (whole foods has some good ones)

eat an alkaline diet (raw fruits and vegetables should be at least 50% of your diet. i'm lazy so i make vegetables shakes. (rice milk and 3 or 4 vegetables and fish oil with vitamin d3 and coconut oil) if you need it sweeter add grapes or apples. the roughage is good for cleaning your intestines (small price to pay for clean skin).

blueberries seem especially helpful.

i eat chicken, turkey and fish (low mercury like talapia, no tuna) no red meat too hard to digest.

i drink distilled water only. many states put fluoride in their water which wreaks havoc on your immune system. yes that includes tooth paste. i use fluoride free 'natures gate' no cavities since using it :) - google 'fluoride toxicity'.

i drink fruit juice but water it down by 90%, too much sugar. for cereal i use rice milk or almond milk (soymilk is bad - contains estrogen and causes a lot of problems - google 'dangers of soy') (cows milk is to hard on the digestive system if is not organic it contains hormones and antibiotics) goat milk is a good alternative if you can handle the taste.

only whole grain bread and pastas (processed white flour products are highly inflammatory)

the deodorant i use is 'thai' liquid form. i've tried every natural deodorant out there and this is the only one that works. it's awesome. most deodorants have propylene glycol or some form of aluminum junk in it. use natural shampoos and soap. it reduces the amount of toxins getting in through your skin.

stuff to avoid:

night shades- tomatoes, tobacco, eggplant, paprika, all peppers and white potatoes (sweet potatoes okay, is considered morning glory) night shades all contain toxins which overload our immune system. hard to eat out with this list :)

all refined sugars (highly inflammatory)
no white or cane sugar, no high fructose corn syrup. alternatives in moderation: stevia is the best, agave, coconut syrup, brown rice syrup or honey. needless to say all artificial sweetners are never allowed (sucrulose, aspartame, sacchrine, sorbitol, xylitol and many more. chewing gums contain all these poisons).

no shellfish, fried foods, yeast, alcohol, smoking, smoked foods, or peanuts.

your skin goes through a 28 day cycle. so it normally takes me 2 months to get my skin almost clear. what normally happens with me is my skin normally gets a little worse at first, probably from the toxins leaving the cells and going into the bloodstream. after a week theres no more flare ups. after two weeks or so the red patches start to heal from the center out. you will have a red circle but the middle of it will heal first thats how you know if your on track. the rest of the healing process is up to you depending how dedicated you are to avoiding toxins and sticking to the organic diet. its really simple - if i'm on the diet my skin gets better, off the diet, my skin gets worse. i have no to blame but myself.

it takes time for the body to heal itself. so if your looking for a quick fix or not willing to make some changes for your health this is not for you. put up or shut up!

for the people taking bleach baths the cure has to be better than the disease.

Good for you. Me I'll stick with the butt aid. What works for some people doesn't work for others, this I understand. But your attitude towards this is way over the top. Just do your thing, share if you like. This website is for sharing what works for you,not for reaming people out.

read the warning label on babies butt aid. it contains lead!!!!!!!!! its known to contain chemicals in california to cause cancer. for your childrens well being do the research. chlorine, fluoride, lead these are toxic to your system making your 'p' worse long term. its one thing if your willing to take the risk for yourself. but to expose your children to dangerous toxins in my opinion is irresponsible. if you cover your 'p' with tape it will go away too. i bet when you stop using babies butt aid the 'p' comes back. again taking care of the symptom not the problem. i'm just trying to give people info. knowledge is power. every wants a cheap quick fix. i'm just trying to keep people from doing more damage. i realize from past experience only 5%-10% are willing to make the lifestyle change needed to control 'p'. good luck :) google- babies butt aid lead toxicity!!!!!!!

correction: google- babies butt aid toxicity. you make the call if the reward is worth the risk :)

know where on the box of baby butt cream does it say it contains lead you people must not be looking at the box!!! I think you are just looking at internet sites and not reading the LABEL!!!!! and ZINC is a mineral not lead?????????

it's not on the box. putting contains lead would be bad for sales. go to the website 'thankful' put up. it states on top OTC drugs not reviewed by FDA. may be marketed if comply with applicable regulations and policies. FDA has NOT evaluated whether this product complies. your 'p' is your bodies way of telling you something wrong.what ever your temporary fix is its not taking care of the cause just the symptom. you just have to keep oxygen from getting to your 'p'. people can use tape, petroleum jelly, olive oil. but i bet when you stop using these creams your 'p' will come back. while your using these new 'p' will pop up some where else. 'p' is an autoimmune disease by using a product that adds toxins to your body makes the situation worse. this diet is a permanent solution. its your life do what you want but some people are looking for a permanent solution. the only side effects are weight loss and healthy skin. yes zinc is a mineral :)

'thankful' i assume your making the posts about babies butt. the FDA allows something like 20'000 to 40'000 ingredients that does not have to be listed on the ingredient label. just because it does not list it does not mean its not there. hence the need to go organic. sprite or 7up took an unlisted preservative out of their product so they could put 'all natural' on the label. the FDA has not evaluated babies butt to see if it complies. and your taking the word of a manufacturer who sells something for profit over people that have nothing to gain. the chinese didn't label childrens toys had lead or cadium in it but they did. just trying to get your audience to look at the big picture. read dr. john paganos book to understand 'p' and why these temporary solutions don't work. its your life do what you want.

'thankful' i care about you and your wife so much i did the research for you. on 5/9/12 babies butt aid will no longer be shipped to california addresses because the product contains UNACCEPTABLE LEVELS OF LEAD AND CADMIUM per california standards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you can contact if you need more information. if you don't believe me now how about the great state of california.

What hasn't been mentioned is what I believe plays the biggest role in controlling your psoriasis is controlling your stress. Stress releases chemicals in your body that can trigger your immune system, thus causing psoriasis, and also for me, my arthritis.

it definitely contributes to this frustrating disease

for your arthritis this 'p' diet is extremely helpful since its premise is anti- inflammatory. no alcohol, no bananas and strawberries. no nightshades they have shown a correlation between nightshades and arthritis a book to read is dr. norman f. childers 'the no nightshade diet'. also cod liver oil with omega 3 and vitamin d3. i use 'carlson super d omega 3' one of the most important additions to your diet. i use everyday excellent anti-inflammatory. good luck
