When you have mucus/phlegm in the throat due to post nasal drip, get some Silver Biotics (it is the only colloidal silver that really works for me) and make a nasal pray with this solution.

Don't add anything, just spray your nose 3 times daily, 2 spray in each nostril. It will fix the post nasal drip and allow the mucus to get out your nose.

THEN move on to the mucus and phlegm in the throat, here is an INSTANT remedy that will work 100%, all the time and it took me a minute to find this one.

1 - Get some Apple Cider Vinegar and mix it with 1/3 Apple Cider Vinegar, 2/3 cold water

2 - Do a gargle then bend over and stay in this position for as long as you can (minimum 3 minutes). Try to bend over and hold your feet.

3 - While bending, press your tongue against the roof of your mouth every 2 to 3 seconds.

What will happen is that:

a) The mucus/phlegm will attached itself to the mixture as Apple Cider Vinegar acts like a sponge.

b) The gravity will let the mucus/phlegm in your throat to fall in your mouth.

You will feel it falling inside your mouth and when you do, please do not stop because there are usually a lot more coming up.

So continue and each treatment should be at least 3 good gargles. You can do that as often as you like until the mucus/phlegm is completely removed. You can end your session by sucking on honey or drops to soothe your throat.

I diluted it 3 to 1, not 2 to 1. Then I made the mistake of attempting to breathe into my nasal passages while in the upside down position! That got the ACV mix into the sinuses fast. Thank goodness I had made a weaker dilution. No results yet but more congestion than before. If you try this, do it with great care.

I have bad chest congestion at the moment, lots of phlegm. Came across this home remedy and thought why not give it ago. I wasn't too sure about leaving apple cider vinegar in my mouth. I did it 3 times and each time more mucus came out. I am so happy that I did this and will remember this for next time. Thank you so much for posting this. My throat definitely feels less clogged and my chest too. Will continue to do this for the next few days or week to get it all out.

Still congested in AZ

I tried this tonight, and sadly without success. When I proceeded to brush my teeth, I noticed a lot of sensitivity in my front teeth, where the acv solution sat while I was bending down. Upon closer inspection of my teeth, I noticed that my gum line was white. I do believe that the acv solution had begun eating away at my teeth and gums! Perhaps this doesn't happen to everyone because each of us has different degrees of sensitivity, and I must have more sensitive teeth and gums.

Slightly confused by the recipe. Do I gargle this and then keep it in my mouth while I bend over for three minutes or do I spit out and then bend over??? Pls help. Deperately need relief.

I just tried this. I didn't experience the build up of phlegm in my mouth as some others did but after I was done I was able to blow my nose and have a bit more productive cough!
I did get a bit in my sinus and it did burn quite a bit. But, that being said, I was able to clear A LOT more out of that side!
I'm not sure if I was doing the tongue movement correctly, but I did get some relief, so THANK YOU!!

I used white vinegar and couldn't keep it in my mouth either because I can't breathe through my nose at this stage. It kind of gave me a headache to be upside down but I did get a little bit out. I just stood by the toilet in case of any surprises. :)

This is my first time trying it and it worked!!! I still have a little cough left over though. But i think that may because of that vinegar taste.

I tried this and the fumes from the Vinegar triggered severe choking, coughing. Now my throat is worse..........won't do this again.

Okay..I have been using this method for three days because it works at getting the mucus out of my throat, but then I started to notice that my teeth felt funny. Like the surface of the tooth was I looked up the effects of vinegar on teeth and this is what I found. Vinegar will de-calcify a tooth, it will remove the calcium from the tooth which could lead to breakage.Even though it works great, I will use this method sparingly with other methods listed. Peace and take care

So I tried this and it worked good, but made me want to vomit. has anyone else had that problem?? I may dilute the mixture a little more. Overall Great remedy!
