When you have mucus/phlegm in the throat due to post nasal drip, get some Silver Biotics (it is the only colloidal silver that really works for me) and make a nasal pray with this solution.

Don't add anything, just spray your nose 3 times daily, 2 spray in each nostril. It will fix the post nasal drip and allow the mucus to get out your nose.

THEN move on to the mucus and phlegm in the throat, here is an INSTANT remedy that will work 100%, all the time and it took me a minute to find this one.

1 - Get some Apple Cider Vinegar and mix it with 1/3 Apple Cider Vinegar, 2/3 cold water

2 - Do a gargle then bend over and stay in this position for as long as you can (minimum 3 minutes). Try to bend over and hold your feet.

3 - While bending, press your tongue against the roof of your mouth every 2 to 3 seconds.

What will happen is that:

a) The mucus/phlegm will attached itself to the mixture as Apple Cider Vinegar acts like a sponge.

b) The gravity will let the mucus/phlegm in your throat to fall in your mouth.

You will feel it falling inside your mouth and when you do, please do not stop because there are usually a lot more coming up.

So continue and each treatment should be at least 3 good gargles. You can do that as often as you like until the mucus/phlegm is completely removed. You can end your session by sucking on honey or drops to soothe your throat.

Hahaha. I don't think you guys are supposed to keep the vinegar in your mouth. If you're bent over it isn't reaching your throat anyways.

Thank you! Doing this did help. Make sure that you don't completely fill your mouth with the ACV. There needs to be room for the mucus to go.

Hi. I've had throat mucus for 15years now. I would like to try this remedy but I am handicap (with 1 leg only). Please advise if there are any other ways of bending over like in a sitting position etc for me to try. Thanks so much.

If you can't bend over, I saw on another site where you can lay across your bed, while on your stomach, and pull yourself to where your front half is hanging off, and if possible, your head touching the floor. This helps the phlegm come up from the bottom of the lungs.

This works really well. I was skeptical. I have had this on/off thing for three weeks and it just got worse. I did not buy or use the nasal spray - the first part. It did not matter, however, as the apple cider vinegar did help. One word of caution is that your tongue may feel slimy too, so have a paper towel handy to wipe. Yuck! No fun! Thank you for a great home remedy! :)

I had heard about sipping 1-2 tablespoons of ACV over 8 oz water and ice for 3 days to cure PND. Thought it was ridiculous until I tried it. My issue is now chest congestion from valley fever and bronchitis. I just tried this suggestion tonight. The first time I had too much in my mouth and ended up almost throwing up. 2nd and 3rd time not so bad and I couldnt believe the amount of gunk! Ugh..but nasal is clear and I feel like I can take deep breaths again!! Glad my kids weren't around to watch, I was spitting as good as any guy!!

This was the weirdest thing ive ever tried i thiught no way but i was wrong , my wife thought i was crazy wen she saw me in the kitchen gargleing ACV and getting nearly upside down for severl minutes ,,, until she saw the results!!!!

OK, so do you hold the ACV in your mouth when you bend over or spit out after gargle?

Well I just tried it and it works. I was even able to blow my nose productively afterward. And yes you keep the Apple cider vinegar in your mouth while you do it but just a little you need room for your mouth to fill up with saliva and mucous.

I can't hold it in, my nose gets stuffed up and can't breath. I have to spit it out.
