Abscessed Tooth Home Remedy Comments

4 Comments for the Abscessed Tooth Home Remedy

ive had a horrible toothache for 5 days now. each day getting worse and worse, yesterday i found this site and tried LOTS of the remedies.
-vanilla extract- helped but just for a few seconds
-cinnamon and honey paste-the 1st couple of hours it worked GREAT but now it's not even touching it.
-swishing with peroxcide-feels like i made it worse
-heating pad on my face-felt good but woke up with my jaw even more swollen and the pain has spread up to my ear and hairline and down to my neck.
-ice pack on my face-if you can stand the cold then it helps for awhile
-bowl of ice water with your hand in it- DID NOT help one bit!
i could go on and on but to be honest it's been 5 days now and nothing has helped so i don't think any of this will help. i am 80% sure it's an abscessed tooth after all the research i've done and im about to go to the e.r now. from all i've read your better off just going to the e.r if you can't afford the dentist. they will still give you antibiotics there and if your having pain like mine then it's alot better off then sitting at home suffering and trying all these remedies. good luck!

I tried most of what you have tried. What worked for me was putting half a sliced garlic clove on the affected gum. Burns like hell, but try and keep it on as long as possible.

I also swished with bee propolis (a natural safe antibiotic) and then drank it, every 2-3 hours. I also ordered on line some collodial silver - swished with a teaspoon of 2-3 times per day.

I also bought some oregano oil on line which is also a very powerful natural disinfectant.

After using the garlic clove the first time, I was able to sleep through the night, but before I discovered garlic as a possible cure, the only pain reliever was with co-codamol. I was pain-free for eight hours. Ibuprofen and paracetomol did not touch the pain. Although it was a fantastic pain reliever, I knew I still had to kill the infection to stop it spreading throughout my body.

The garlic over two days did this. As a safety net, for the next few days I also took two capsules of Blockbuster Allclear, first thing in the morning 30 minutes before eating, and also four capsules of Serrapeptase, as these are supposed to repair the nerves.

The swelling in my cheek and under my jaw finally vanished about five days after using all of the above, except for the garlic which I only held against the affected gum on two separate days.

The resulting ulcer was very painful, but after taking a few handfuls of pumpkin seeds over the next three days, and applying bee propolis to a cotton bud and putting it directly onto the ulcer, this disappeared after three / four days.

I feel my tooth is completely healed - no pain, no swelling and I am happily eating on that side now, two weeks on from its onset. Saved myself £1,000 in proposed root canal fees. My dentist will be disappointed.

None of that would help if you have an abscess! There are medical professionals that deal with teeth for a reason. If it was so easy to get rid of an infected tooth by yourself they would not have a job. Therefore you should probably go see a dentist! And all the other people on here yes maybe your pain goes away at first and the swelling goes away and that ulcer which is draining the infection from your tooth ( it is called a fistule) will disappear but believe me it will be back and if you go to a dentist the radiographs will prove that it was never cured by your home remedies. So do yourself a favor and go to a dentist. They are not all money hungry and there are a lot out there that want to help people that is why they got into that profession in he first place.

There said to help with the pain, not fix the problem... duh any idiot would know that

Yeah, you probably don't want to put straight up heat on an abscessed tooth. Especially if your face is swelling. It can cause it to rupture. Good luck.
