Vinegar IS used in the treatment of ear infections. The ear spray prescribed by doctors contains Acetic Acid (vinegar), its used alter the acidity of your ear making it inhospitable towards bacteria. Yes it does really sting so take pain killers before you do it but it will treat the infection.

DO NOT USE VINEGAR OR ANY KIND OF ACIDIC LIQUIDS. SEE OTHER POSTS OF PEOPLE WHO SUFFERED SEVERE PAIN DUE TO VINEGAR

Prescription ear drops do not contain vinegar. You are referring to over the counter ones. And it is not the only ingredient in them. Do NOT USE VINEGER in your ear. The extreme pain every is talking about it causing is the damage it causes to the ear drum.

I think that works most of the time. I have an ear infection right now and I think that chewing gum and wiggling your ears eases pain for about a maximum of three hours a minimum of a half an hour. I usually use vinegar as a third resort since for me it burns my ears for the first couple of minutes which I cannot stand. Me and my mom are totally organic lovers and we have basically organic everything so most of the time I can get rid of an ear infection in about a week. Try coconut oil on your ear and neck and feet, it cleanses your ear of bacteria and soothes your body from pain, you also get to smell like coconut which is a plus for me.
