My dad actually told me this one when I was 14!! Take a hair brush and rub it over the hickey back and forth for about three minutes or until the mark has gone. It totally disappears and does not come back as it helps with the blood vessels. This remedy has come very handy for the last 15 years especially after i got married :)

Worked the best of all the methods I tried. It was such a dark purple and only after using the brush (then ice) it lightened up enough to cover with make up. I have 8 hours ... maybe I'll do it again in a bit to see if it will get even lighter. Omg we're all pathetic LOL WISH ME LUCK XO

I really appreciate the help. I was so worried about going to work with a hickey, but it totally disappeared in just a couple minutes! Thank you so much!

I tried it for 5 minutes and still nothing. I seem to be the only one it didn't work for.

I have a friend, Alma, who participated in unruly activities last night. This morning, evidence of the lustful decision was found on her neck. Alma abruptly recalled that she had a date with another man tonight who might see the hickey. Can you visualize her circle of self conflict? Well, if you can't, one look at the burning crater on her neck would surely clear up any doubt. We were desperate and googled remedies for hickies. When we found this thread, we were quite entertained with some of the comments and confusion as to which side of the brush to use. We were quickly put in our place after we tried the act of hickey removal. We found that a round brush with the 'horse-hair-ish' bristles worked best when scrubbed forcefully in a circular clockwise motion. The harder the better. You can imagine how much pain Alma must have been in so we consoled her with words of comfort, a rubber spatula to bite on in moments of fury, and a bag of frozen peas (conformed with the contour of the hickey medium aka the neck). She laid on the bathroom counter as we went for gold and did three reps of 10 second scrubs. The results were IMMACULATE. Any imperfections that are left over can probably be covered up with make up. Hopefully Alma will remember the price that she had to pay and avoid hickies, or perhaps the hickey-giver.
Best of luck,
Her dear friend,
Edna
