You can find the peroxide at any Walgreens or CVS or that has a pharmacy isle. You will find it by the rubbing alcohol in a brown bottle.

How long do i let my pet sit in water before i take him out to dry?

Our 6 month old 50 # labrador retriever is showing signs of skin irritation - don't know if it is mange or not. I know that it is not a flea issue. I know it's not a 'hot spot'. To keep from having to spend hundreds at our vet's office, I am trying this hydrogen/Borax combination. I doubled the recipe: 8 cups warm water, 16 oz. peroxide and 16 Tbs. Borax. Prior to this, I bathed him with an anticeptic/Iodine animal shampoo. I will keep you posted as to his progress. Once again - I don't know if this is mange or not. He doesn't seem to be biting and scratching, but he has several areas with raised, scabby bites, and is loosing a small amount of hair. It is summertime here with 100 degree weather and lots of humidity. He is an outside dog, so that could have something to do with it. He is on excellent puppy food and does not seem to have a lowered immune system. I will let everyone know how this goes. . .
