I wish I had a remedy but I don't. I have severe psoriasis currently on my knees and my ankle. I use to also have psoriasis on my elbows and fingers, however, for some reason those spots cleared up and it has not returned. I will tell you that I believe I got psoriasis in the spots that I had severe injuries as a child. When I was young I fell on our hot tar roof, both knees were inbedded with pieces of tar. I was not taken to the doctor so I don't believe my knees ever healed correctly. I also suffered an ankle injury. If you suffer a severe injury please make sure you have the wound cleaned well and healing properly. I truly believe those injuries caused the psoriasis to appear years later. If you see that your nails are pitted yet you do not have psoriasis
make sure you pay attention to any injuries to prevent the onset of psoriasis. Stress also plays a major part in psoriasis.

theres no way that is possible. i am no doctor but i do know from having clear plaque psoriasis for over 10 years that it is due to your skin cells and nothing to do with injuries

its ur immune system ,lots veg fruit clears it up,no dairy either ,worked 4 me

psoriasis is the disease when some portion of skin is getting dead sooner than the other portion of skin. it creates spots. this is to be cured, how ? doctors say better

i have psoriosis on my scalp and i once got a cut on my side and it turned into scaley psoriosis for a while until it finally healed properly. i believe that injurues can turn into scaley psoriosis if they dont heal properly the psoriosis sees an oportunity to arise in that location

I think I might be able to help you. Now, I'm not a doctor or anything, but I really don't think your psoriasis was caused by a past injury ( pretty positive it wasn't, but it's just a guess), but I do know a way that may help your psoriasis. You see I've had psoriasis since I was 5 when my toenails started cracking. Since then I got psoriasis on my knees and ankles ( my fingernails and toenails that cracked healed up over time until they were mostly normal), and it got worse and worse. Then one day my mom gave me some of her old lotions and stuff. In it was a soy set, with Nutritives white tea body lotion and bath scrub. I soon found out that this stuff worked beautifully on my psoriasis. Then, a couple years later, long after the stuff had run out, I found St. Ives Oatmeal and Shea butter lotion, and since then, my psoriasis has looked terrific! I highly suggest using those two products, though results may vary. Good luck

No, it's true. I have three types of psoriasis per my doctor. He did state that a type of psoriasis will grow more likely on injured skin. The only thing that helps me is a steroid cream and a membership to a tanning place, but I only go once a week.

Good luck.
