45 Comments for the Tooth Ache Pain Home Remedy

The best thing I have found to use for tooth ache pain is Hurricaine gel. It is a topical anestetic, just like the dentist use just before giving you a novocain shot. Best of all you do not have to use a lot of the gel to kill the pain and it lasts for hours. This can be purchased at any pharmacy without a RX. Hurricaine Gel comes in different flavors, however I have found that the original without flavor is better and does not taste bad at all. The anesthesia is accomplished within 15-30 seconds. Now that is fast!! Hurricaine Gel can also be used for Cold Sores, cuts in gums due to braces, loose teeth, etc.

Maximum Strength Orajel is not doing ANYTHING for me.
How is this Hurricane Gel any different?

Ask any Wal-Mart pharmacist to special order the product. They can usually get it in one business day. Hope this helps.

Half past 2 in the morning and desperate 4 anything, went to the fullstation cause they have the only shop open there this time of morning and bought my self some peanut butter, at first I thought this is insane but after a while the pain felt better its stil there but its not as pounding...
Many Thanx

My sister recomened this when my daughter was teething. Now I use it all the time. The only places I have found it though is very small mom and pop pharmacies. The big ones (CVS, Eckerd's, ect) don't seem to carry it though. Its a shame cause this stuff works for me better than the perscription stuff my dentist gave me.

Special order it through Walmart!!! This stuff works soooo well!

I have used the spray version of HurriCaine and nothing else compares. I found it in a CVS but they don't seem to have it anymore. The local Eckerds sent me to WalMart but our local store did not have it. Like someone else said, I have seen it in a really small Mom and Pop pharmacy in a town about 40 miles from here but I will probably order it.

I found out about it from a jailer at the local county jail,(while there visiting a family member). She said that's all they give to the prisoners, for tooth pain.
I found it at a small, independent, hole-in-the-wall pharmacy.
It comes in original, wild cherry, watermelon, pina colada, & mint - They also make it in a spray
It has more benzocaine than orajel(20%vs.10%) - works really well!

Hurricane gel isn't effective at all, atleast for me it isn't. Luckily I didn't buy it though, my sister had some, she said it worked for her though. But the only thing it did was numb my tongue just like orajel and ambesol and did jack for the tooth!

You can ask ANY pharmacist to order Hurricane Gel for you. This product has been around for many years, it just had to be special ordered. I used it on my boys when they were babies (1 bottle was more than enough), they are now grown and I am buying some for grandkids.

I used it over and over again for my sore tooth, and now it doesn't work at all. Sure it numbs my mouth, but only for about 20 mins and then my tooth hurts again. Actually, it doesn't even take the pain away from my tooth at all now, and it just freezes my mouth.

I just went a got a root canal done last friday, thought the pain would away, but it didn't and now I am back to square one again.

I tell you, it sure hurts to have tooth pain. I would rather give birth to 10 kids then go through this tooth pain I have right now.

Tea bags also work well for tooth aches. I used one yesterday, and it helped for about 2 hours.
