A gentle way to remove corns
To soften and remove corns, try this:
1. Soak your feet in warm water for 20 minutes.
2. Cut a square from the peel of a fresh pineapple, and gently rest the inside directly on the corn. Using first-aid tape, attach the peel to the corn overnight, and cover with a sock.
3. Carefully remove the peel the following morning, and soak your foot again.
It may take as many as four consecutive nights of applying the pineapple peel until the corn falls off or comes off easily by rubbing it gently with a pumice stone.
What makes the weird trick seem to work? The secret is bromelain, an enzyme found in pineapple plants and fruits that softens and breaks down the dead skin.
