I tried several of things that are listed on this forum & still couldn't get relief.

The best two things I will suggest are RINSING WITH WARM WATER (no salt, actually) and PEANUT BUTTER. crazy, but it actually worked for me. Orajel works, but only for literally a minute and then the pain comes back, sometimes even worse. Ibuprofen takes the edge off a little but doesn't make it any easier to sleep.

I am going to try the orajel-toothpaste-aspirin paste tonight on my tooth as well, it seems many people have had success with that.

I've taken Tylenol (have no Ibruprofen of any kind but getting some today) and Vicodin and it did not help. I put some peanut butter in a mug, maybe 3 Tbs warm/hot water...mixed, swished it around in my mouth and spit. I got relief instantly...and let me tell you, I was almost in tears even with the drugs. I followed it up with the vanilla extract on a QTip thing to the problem teeth and gumline and I'm numb. Pain free for now and numb. I might be able to sleep tonight.

Ibuprofen does sometimes work for me but I have to have a full pill. Although I have to snap the tablet sometimes because I can not swallow the whole tablet. I get tooth-ache all the time and it is upsetting because I get a really bad case of it. My parents call me a 'pill popper.' I am only 12 years old and all kids suffer with tooth-ache.
