Tired of living like this
I have had a nasty inner ear infection causing earglue behind the eardrum, dizzyiness, low grade fever now for over 2 years. I've tried 3 different anti-biotics and one fungal medicine with no relief. I've have tried rubbing Tea Tree Oil behind my ears on the soft skin next to the ear canal witch only turned the earglue into a more watery fluid and burned the skin on my ears than it peeled. The only thing the helps with relief is Wally's ear drops with Sweet Almond Oil, Eucalyptus Oil, Tea Tree Oil, Mullein Extract, Echinacea Oil, Garlic Oil. Also, putting Vick's salve in the middle of a cottonball then into your ear canal brings a soothing relief.

A chronic or reoccurring ear infection or sinus infection often indicates a larger underlying problem. One of the most common culprits is a milk allergy. While a milk allergy doesn't actually CAUSE the infection, it does create a hospitable environment for the microorganisms responsible for the infection to thrive. Sugar does the same, so you may want to eliminate or drastically reduce your sugar and starches for a while as well. Please investigate this further by searching Google for the terms 'chronic ear infection AND food allergy'.
I think it would be worth your time to experiment with eliminating all dairy and at least most of your sugar, high fructose corn syrup, and simple carbohydrates from your diet for a couple of weeks and see if it helps.
For milk, look at labels and avoid anything that says: milk, caseinate, casein, butterfat, whey, and lactose. Some things that are labeled non-dairy, such as coffee creamers and margarine, still contain milk products so be careful.
If you choose to avoid simple carbohydrates watch out for bread (other than 100% whole grain), white rice, sweet drinks, juice, pasta and cereals (other than whole grain), and potatoes (which are technically a complex carb but metabolize into higher sugars than most). In my opinion, Xylitol made from Birch Trees (brands: Smart Sweet or Emerald Forest) is a great healthy alternative to sugar.
One more thing... it is my understanding that tea tree oil is a very potent antibacterial/antifungal. It should always be diluted with a carrier oil. For instance, you can add a few drop to a teaspoon of olive oil. Test on your inner forearm for tolerance.
I certainly hope you are able to find relief soon.
