Soak a cotton swab with cider vinegar and press gently on infected area (ulcer). May sting for a few seconds, but instant pain relief, and swelling and inflamation disappears immediately. Apply generously for a few days until healed.

I found that drinking the cider vinigar w/ice water (50/50) takes the infection out of your system, raises the acid in your ph levels. It's also healthy all around, and doesn't taste bad at all.

Can I use Apple Cider vinegar?

Steve

i have a very large and very painful mouth ulcer on the inside of my lip, that was caused by a hook on my braces. i used a medicine dropper and dropped a few drops on the ulcer before i went to bed. it stung at first, but then it numbed and didn't hurt anymore. when i woke up, a scab had formed over the ulcer and the pain was almost completely gone! i have continued adding cider vinegar drops to the ulcer whenever it starts hurting again and at night. i can barely feel it anymore and it is almost gone! thanks for the great idea! this is one more thing vinegar is great for!! did you know it also helps jellyfish stings stop hurting?? :-)

This was amazing! I had a mouth ulcer for days on the inside of my lower lip - not only did it hurt it made it difficult to eat.
I put the vinegar on - I used Braggs brand - and in just a minute literally the swelling and redness went away.
In the morning there was a small spot - I am going to continue using it as it should be another day or so and it is gone. Thanks!

This is working great. Just held it in my mouth for a minute over the ulcer and spat. Instant feeling of relief! THANK YOU!

Would white vinegar work?

Using cider vinegar as a mouthwash really helped numb the pain. Thanks for the idea.

ACV alkalizes the body, it doesn't make it more acidic, (even though it is itself acidic, it's effect is the opposite). Also, be careful using it as a mouthwash, it can seriously harm your teeth enamel and should always be rinsed from the teeth after use. I would suggest using it with the cotton swab or dropper for this purpose.

So far so good here for a mouth ulcer. I also used Braggs. The stuff is miraculous!
