My pores have been exposed to many things over the course of my years as an athlete. I have always had acne, maybe a pimple here or red spot there. But nothing big, until recent. I am a runner, which means basically I sweat, alot and my pores are the first to suffer from all the sweat. But what I do to help clear my skin has worked so well for me. First, I stay hydrated. As a runner, hydration is important and it also helps your skin. Next, I was my face three times daily. In the morning with a regular cleanser BEFORE I do my hair at all, you don't want to be touching gel and things and then cleaning your face. Then I go about my day and wash all my make up off before I do my work outs. Make up clogs pores and can mix with sweat to just make it pure hell for your skin. Then when I get out of the shower, before touching my hair, I wash my face again with a cleanser. Twice a week, but not two days next to each other, like Tuesday and Friday, I use my homemade remedy which has helped significantly. What I do is I mix lemon juice, you can use fresh but I use already made, oatmeal, any kind, I use the apple cinnamon simply because no one in my house likes it, and sugar. Yes. Sugar. It works as an exfoliator. I leave this on my face for 15 minutes and then rinse with warm water. I know it sounds gross to have outmeal sticking to your face but it's helped for me and hopefully for you. When my skin is clear, I just do my regular washing and don't exfoliate as much, maybe once every two weeks. I really hope this helps you as it's brought me so many compliments and more importantly, made me feel beautiful
Hi everyone i have been dealing with acne for a couple of months after stoping birth control and i have never in my life had acne. what i have found that works for me is drinking green tea 2-3 cups a day to help get ride of all the toxin in your body. also at night i mix a toner of lemon juice with extra virgin oil has to be organic its the only one that doesnt clog your pores. and leave it on all night. wash your face twice a day to remove oil. withen 2 week i was acne free although i stoped. and acne came back so i recommend not stoping even if your face is acne free..
I've been struggling with acne for a while now, currently going on 17. I've tried Proactive (worked at first, then my skin became sensitive to it and felt like my faced was burned), all the over the counter acne brands such as Neutrogena and Clearasil. Let me tell you, there is no other way to go then the natural way. And it takes more than just to apply stuff to your face to clear it up. If you want it bad enough, you can have it.
-The most important thing to do is drink plenty of water
-DRINK A TABLE SPOON OF APPLE CIDER VINEGAR (WITH MOTHER) EVERY OTHER NIGHT
-ALSO TAKE FLAX SEED OIL
-Cut all dairy from your diet. Trust me, dairy plays a major role in your skin. Cut dairy for a month and see for yourself.
-Take papaya enzimes after big meals and eating spicy foods (again, the digestive system plays a big role in your skin)
-GO TO THE BATHROOM (Number 2/pooping) TO EXPEL ALL THE WASTE FROM YOUR BODY
I'm 17 year olds and I've never had bad acne just slight break outs throughout junior high. I used nuetrogena and it worked really well so i stopped using it and time went on, but Recently I've started breaking out pretty bad and i just met a nice girl so i wanted to clear it up to look my best. I tried many 'so called' quick fixes for acne but none of them worked. I've read a few of the remedies here and decided to come up with my own.
What you'll need is: Honey, Vinegar(preferably distilled for reduced acidity)Lemon juice, and an egg.
You'll need to separate the yolk to get the egg white if you don't know how just google it, once you have done that you'll need to beat it until it bubbles. Once you get it to a nice foamy texture add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, honey, and vinegar(I added some salt just to make it extra powerful but you don't have to). After that mix it thoroughly then go wash your face with warm water to open up your pores and apply the mixture to your affected areas(I used a cotton ball which makes it incredibly easy)then wait for around 10-30 minutes depending on how much time you have and rinse it off with warm water. Once its all off wash your face with cold water to close your pores. I've only recently started doing this but i can see a significant decrease in my acne. Hope this helps anyone out there and the best of luck to you and your skin!
Toothpaste. It's the best thing that has ever happened to me. I'm a figure skater and having clear skin is very important to me. I kept reading that it helps acne and so I aplied it one night before bed and I woke up. The three annoying zits on my nose were gone within two days. I love toothpaste.
I've been suffering with adult acne for the past few years and been spending tones of money on all these high end products just drying out my face and wouldn't get rid of anything... So was I was in a Shoppers Drug Mart the one day I was looking a Burt's Bees... I figured what the heck, I'll splurge some more money and get the entire line of Burt's Bees anti-blemish, including the anti-blemish stick... This stuff is AMAZING!! The anti-blemish stick is a life saver, and the rest of it all I am just thankful for. The anti-blemish stick does sting a little but it works! For the first time since in my early 20's I am able to walk around without layer upon layer of make up on my face. Love this stuff!!
Mix alltogether! Apply to face with cotton ball etc.
WARNING: Lemon juice and baking soda will cause a small chemical reaction! be carful to the quanity you use of each!
I am a 21 year old lady who has had lots of trouble with acne since I was 14. I believe I have stumbled upon a somewhat odd remedy to my blemishes... One day, I'm at my boyfriend's house and he happens to own some gel called ASAP. It's made with silver and it's good for healing skin. I had lots of sores on my face, so I used it. I noticed the next day that my face felt pretty nice and my blemishes were drastically less noticable as the day before. So, I decided to look for the gel on the internet. $70 bucks a tube. No way am I spending that money. So, I decided to find out what makes silver good for healing skin in the first place. I find out it's anti microbial. Then I figure 'Hey... Maybe my skin just has more trouble with fighting off the germies than the average person's does.' So I go to the CVS pharmacy across the street, buy some neosporin cream (not ointment, it might be a little too oily for the face), and some Jergen's lotion. I mix a pea sized amount of the neosporin in with the lotion and put it on my face every day. Been doing that about 3 weeks and my face is clearer than it's been in a very long time. So if the salicylic acid stuff doesn't work for you either, maybe your situation is similar to mine and it might work on you too.
~3/4 cup white or brown sugar
~1-2 tsp. honey
~2 small dry teabag(any fruit/herbal)
~however much water that needs to make a thick paste
Use a small bowl, put in sugar, add little amount of water, stir. Then cut your tea bag open, and pour in the herbs and stuff, mix well. Then apply to face, it will be sticky, so watch for getting in hair, pull hair back out of way. Let set on your face until dry. Rinse face clean of all of it, it should feel very smooth, babysoft, and very clean. Do twice or three times a week if desired.
Here are many things to do to get amazing skin!
-Drink lots of water. It'll keep your skin hydrated.
-Mask your face 3-4 times a week with oatmeal. Just use some type of quick oats and mix it with a good amount of water. Microwave it and when it cools, set it on your face and leave it there for about a half hour.
-Shower right before you go to bed. Use some sort of acne wash, (I suggest Clean And Clear Advantage) in the shower and when you get out, don't put any makeup or hair care products in. Make sure you go to sleep with a clean face and clean hair.
-After you shower, put some type of facial moisturizer on. Make sure it's oil-free.
-Try not to wear foundation or concealer. It's the worst makeup for your skin.
-Go swimming in a chlorinated pool. Chlorine really helps clear up your skin and dries out your acne.
-Get fresh air and sunlight as much as possible. It really helps!
-Don't wear too many layers because it'll make you sweat and clog up your pours.
-If you don't wear makeup, rinse your face with cold water at least a few times a day. You can do this anywhere, even at school or work. It'll wash off the dirt and because the water is cold, it won't open your pours so the dirt won't get in.
-Change your pillow case once a week. Dirt and oil builds up on your pillow quite quickly.
-Try not to eat foods with too much sodium.
-If you have acne scars, brew green tea and dip a cotton ball in it. dab it all over your face or where ever you have the scars and do not wipe off. Let it soak in. After about an hour of it soaking in, take a shower and wash your face.
