Use an ice bag (or an ice cube wrapped in a dishcloth) to cool your eyes. This also works very well for eye pain caused by excessive exposure to sunlight or arc welders.

Put a slice of cucumber on each of the closed eyelids. Lie down and rest for 10 minutes.

Mix equal amounts of powdered liquorice and cumin seeds. Every day for a month, take 1/4 teaspoon of this with a teaspoon of honey.
