ok so my dad spilled a giant glass of red wine on my moms light beige chair. didn't go well. Then he accidentally used her new light light light green guest towels to clean it up. So the next day, about 10 hours later, I covered all the wine spots with arm & hammer laundry detergent, no dyes or scents and let them sit about five minutes. Then I scrubbed at the detergent for about ten minutes in the sink with water as hot as I could stand. Then I hung it over the shower rod. It wont remove all the evidence but they are almost gone. The spots that are left are a little bit darker colour than the actual towel, none of them are red like the wine
Wine stains, pour on the Morton salt and watch it absorb into the salt.
Easy way to remove ink stains from clothing. Get a AEROSOL can of hair spray like(aqua net-n-white rain)MAKE SURE it is a PRESSURIZED AEROSOL can. Spray the ink stain and use the paper towels to keep it from making a mess. If it is a set in ink stain you will need to let it soak for a couple of hours before washing to make sure it comes out. Always remember to look at where the stain was after washing BEFORE you put the clothing in the drier because the ink is SO much harder to get out once it has been dried into the fabric. If the stain is still there after you wash then treat it again but this time soak it for a couple of hours before washing but you most likely won't need to. In 23 yrs of knowing and treating ink stains this way I have never needed to retreat. Hope this help you out....
my second cousin spilled spaghetti sauce on the house carpet. My grand mothers next door neighbor was visiting at the time this happened. Her neighbor ask my grand mother, Do you have any baby wipes? Her neighbor wiped the carpet with the wipes and the stains was gone. You could not even tell that the sauce had been spilled on the carpet. Hope this remedy works for you. It worked for me.
For stains on carpets in a car from a spilled drink, especially milk, is to scrub it with shaving cream. This worked really well to make sure the milk stain doesn't smell later. After letting the shaving cream sit for awhile, suck it up with a vaccuum and apply again while scrubbing. After doing this 2-3 times pour baking soda on it and let it sit for a few hours. Make sure to let the space air out as much as possible.
My granmother use to do this for my 1st baby. To remove formula and baby food stains, boil a pot of water once boiling turn off an add 1/8 of a cup of Cascade dishwashing detergent. Mix well then add clothes. Leave clothes to sit until water is cool, remove excess stuff(caked on cereal or formula) and wash normally. If baby's skin is sensitive, rinse twice. This is the only thing that got out all the stains on my most recent childs clothes and bibs.
Use Windex. Spray some Windex on the stains rub the Windex into the stain and the stain should come out. It works everytime. Even on fresh blood or dry blood stains
