i smoke and drink a lot of coffee so my teeth were pretty stained so i used a magic eraser. i just tear off a corner and use that works great everytime. i do this often, about once a month, and when i went to the dentist i asked her if she thought my teeth looked dammaged and she said they looked great so i dont think it will hurt to keep using it. give it a try.

Use the sap from a aloe vera plant to brush teeth, for whiter teeth.

So I tried a bunch of the remedies, seemed the olive oil rub followed by a diluted apple cider rinse worked best. As for the strawberry debate (do or do not rub strawberries on your teeth) wouldn't it be totally safe to just eat some strawberries? I assumethat when you chew them, you use your teeth and some rubbing action may just naturally occur.

Use a eyemakeup remover pad and put extra virgin olive oil on it.
Then rub on all your visible teeth for 5-10 minutes, depending on how much of a difference you want to make to your teeth. Then brush your teeth with regular toothpaste.
The first time i did this i personally wanted whiter results after the first time so did it twice more straight after.

The secret to this inexpensive home whitening method is malic acid, which acts as an astringent to remove surface discoloration. Combined with baking soda, strawberries become a natural tooth-cleanser, buffing away stains from wine, coffee, and dark sodas. While it’s no replacement for a bleaching treatment at your dentist’s office, “this is a fast, cheap way to brighten your smile,” says Adina Carrel, DMD, a dentist in private practice at Manhattan Dental Arts in New York. “Be careful not to use this too often, though, as the acid could damage the enamel on your teeth.”

Make Over Your Smile
You need:
1 ripe strawberry
1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Directions: Crush the strawberry to a pulp, then mix with the baking soda until blended. Use a soft toothbrush to spread the mixture onto your teeth. Leave on for 5 minutes, then brush thoroughly with toothpaste to remove the berry–baking soda mix. Rinse. (A little floss will help get rid of any strawberry seeds.) You can apply once a week.

You can't go wrong with pure baking soda. I'd brush lightly like usual with it, approx every other day. Because if you use it too much, you can ruin your enamel and cause too much friction on your gums. I've also used half baking soda, half toothpaste of choice in a same brushing and gotten similar results... u just add some mintyness so it's not as bad. I've heard some people can't handle brushing with baking soda because of the 'taste,' but really, you'll get over it. It's not like it tastes like vomit or something, it's just simply not going to give you a minty lather.

Also, brush within 30 min after drinking coffee, tea, or sodas. Drink lots of water. And eating raw, fresh fruits and veggies also contributes in cleansing the teeth when you chew them.

at least once a week brush your teeth with a little bit of charcoal powder, and keep on brushing and rinsing until all the black is gone, and for the rest of the week just brush with water.

this is something a natural doctor has told me, and it really works.

Mix equal parts hydrogen peroxide and water. Undiluted peroxide will cause burns. Rinse and swish for 30-60 seconds, spit. Don't rinse teeth off for 10 minutes. Do daily.
