If you have an extremely minor case of this and you are at the legal age:
-2 Shots of straight vodka (or if you're light weight, just one shot)
-1 Small bottle of 'You C1000 Vitamin Orange' (found in local convenience stores or in Continental Stores, since it is Japanese)
-Lots of fresh tropical fruit (especially pine apple).
Rest rest rest.
Repeat the above everyday (the vodka only ONCE)and seek help from your local GP (General Pharmacy) in the time being.
-Remember, even though it hurts like somebody is stabbing your throat every time you swallow, EAT. Fruit and stuff with LOTS of Salt and Vitamins in it are the best. You need to treat your body very well while it is so ill, it makes your immune system much stronger.
Good luck xx

Home remedy for Tonsillitis
Gargling with mint mouthwash every 2-3 hours provides relief in tonsillitis
A fresh lime squeezed in a glass of warm water, with four teaspoons of honey and a quarter teaspoon of common salt, can be effective in tonsillitis
A gargle made from fenugreek seeds is very effective in severe cases of tonsillitis. To make such a gargle, two tablespoons of fenugreek seeds should be simmered for half an hour in a liter of water and then set aside to cool. The entire quantity should be used the same day as a soothing gargle for tonsillitis.

Hi! I've had tonsillitis about 5 times. Here are some things I do to cure it: As soon as I feel it coming I take vitamins C and D and 3 echinacea softgels (my brand is health balance). This usually helps make the bout less severe. I also chew and swallow a clove of garlic (raw). Every day during the infection, I take two echinacea softgels three times daily. I drink lots of hot liquids. Lots of citrus and ginger teas. Here are a couple of recipes that help me a lot: To chicken broth (about 600 m) add one clove of chopped garlic, some chopped ginger, and a half a cup of lemon juice (it doesn't have to be fresh). Heat until almost boiling. My recipe for hot lemonade: In a mug, mix three tbsps of lemon juice (again, doesn't have to be fresh) with a tbsp of honey. Fill the rest of the mug with boiling water. These are my remedies for tonsillitis, and I usually manage to kick the infection within three or four days. Good Luck!
