I have had a plantar wart on the heal of my foot for a few months now. I cried with the pain of it, limped around and suffered with it everyday.
I decided to do a search on the web and found this great site. Thank you so much for the information about the vinegar.
I have soaked my foot in the vinegar for 30 minutes, then taped it up. I am also taking the supplement L-Lysine (500 mg twice per day on empty stomach). At night I soak a cotton ball with vinegar and tape it to my foot. I can now stand on my foot with comfort!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL THE INFORMATION!!!

My son started getting warts when he was about 2...big one under his thumbnail was the first. They just kept appearing one after the other. I used the toxic products from the drugstore, needlessly inhaling all the potent toxic fumes from them. GGGRRRR! By the time he was 4 yrs old he had a total of 15 warts and there was NO improvement from all the expensive toxic products/junk I tried. Did some research online and tried the apple cider vinegar treatment...small pieces of cotton dipped in ACV and placed directly on each wart then covered over with bandages/duct tape. After 3 weeks there was absolutely no sign of them and the skin had completely healed over.
He also had seen a naturopath twice and had been taking some herbal drops to stimulate his immune system. We had been trying that treatment for 4 months when I came across the acv treatment and tried it. I do believe it was the acv treatment that so quickly dealt with the warts.

I had my wife do the duct tape method. At first it seemed like it was working. Dead skin was constantly peeling off. She did this faithfully for 2 years before she decided to stop. Even though skin from the wart was coming off the wart never went away. She has had this wart for 40 years now. It looks like a large, deep callus. So now I will have her try the vinegar method. Maybe there are those people out there that just can't get rid of a plantars wart.

I joined a new health club and discovered 3 plantar warts on my foot and was planning on using the old salicylic acid circle pads remedy sold in drug stores that takes weeks. My wife suggested I use Melaleuca Oil that had cured her foot nail fungus. So I experiments and used melaleuca oil on one foot and the pads on the other. I was able to peel the wart off after 2 days of application for the foot on which I used melaleuca oil, so I immediately used it on the other foot and was wart free in two more days.

I've had a plantar wart on my heel for about 4 years. I've seen 3 doctors. One tried half a dozen times to freeze freeze it off. Then I went to a podiatrist who surgically cut it out. I had an open wound for several weeks until it healed... but the wart came back. The same doctor then tried the laser treatment. It turned black and I thought this got it, but it came back. Went to a different podiatrist who told me to try topical treatments at night, then he trimmed every 3-4 weeks, and I kept applying 15% salacilic acid at night. Nothing. After explaining everything I have tried, THIS DOCTOR TOLD ME TO TRY DUCT TAPE and explained how it worked.. which it didn't. I finally had given up, when I googled 'Home Remedies Plantar Warts'.
I've been doing the apple cider vinegar thing as much as I can stand. I still have a lot of pain, but when it gets to be too much, I take it off, rinse and wash, and wait until next night. It's working!! I have a huge black oval right in the center of it. The ACV is really killing it. I'm not sure how much longer the pain will last, but I'm going to keep doing this until it's gone. I've had this wart for 5 years, and am so happy that it's finally going away.
I think the cutting it out and scraping actually may have made the darn thing grow bigger (spreading virus). Now that I see the size and shape of it (the black part), it's clear they didn't cut the whole thing out - or it came back and spread to a bigger area. I take Tylenol for pain.
Last night I only made it until 3:00 am. I took off cotton ball, rinsed and washed it, took some more Tylenol and fell back asleep in about an hour. The night before I made it to 5:00. At 3:00 I noticed a piece of it starting to flake away and it's turning a more solid black.
Thank God for this site. 3 doctors, freezing, cutting, lasering, topical, and finally duct tape were what they did/recommended and nothing worked. ACV is working!! Just do as much as you can take, then wait and try some more. It really works. Good luck, and thanks everyone else for posting here!

Okay here I am submitting what I hope will work for others. After reading the submissions I had my plantar wart removed by a podiatrist. They warned me to keep an eye on it for any recurrence or if they hadn't gotten it all. Low and behold I ended up with the wart coming back and four more warts on the same heel. I tried ACV which burned quite a bit and made it more difficult to walk. Tried duct tape which killed the skin around the wart areas also. I read a recent post about nail polish and tried that instead. WOW. I used the cheapest white nail polish and covered just those spots with the warts. With repeated applications and less than a month, the warts had turned black and were easy to pull off with a small pair of tweezers or a knife. Granted I had tried the other treatments first but the nail polish seemed to be the least painful and least noticeable in sandals. And yes, it finally worked.

I just want to say I've never posted on a 'remedy' board before, but I swore if I conquered my decade-old plantar wart I would. First, I'd like to say I tried every treatment besides having the wart cut out and nothing worked. What finally killed the plantar's wart on the bottom of my foot was this: apple cider vinegar, BC powdered aspirin, cotton swabs and bandaids. Each night for three weeks I soaked my foot in apple cider vinegar. Afterward, I soaked the tip of a cotton swab in a paste made of BC Powder and apple cider vinegar. I tore the tip of the swab off and stuck it in the indentation where the wart was. I then covered it with a strong, stetchy bandaid, though any bandaid would do. One night, the pain was so intense I had to get up and take the bandage off. Once a day I would take sharp tweezers and pick the dead skin of the wart out. About 9 days in, I was able to pull the 'black seeds' out. So weird, but it didn't really hurt. I kept up the ritual for about another week, and then soaked my foot in a small tub (I used a plastic shoe container) each morning while I was putting my makeup on.
I've waiting three months to post this, to make sure it worked. For a time, I could still see the white crater and worried I wasn't healing. I was, thank goodness. I'd encourage you to try. Tenacity seems to be the trick. Also, the powdered aspirin pushed me over the hump; I'd tried apple cider alone before.
I know how devastating plantar warts can be. I didn't want to show my feet to ANYONE. I skipped a lot of girl pedicure parties and the thing acutally hurt!
I hope I've helped you. I spent many nights reading these boards, looking for answers.

“Plantar Warts Be Gone Treatment”
Last summer I, my wife and son went to a public swimming Pool. Me and my son got plantar warts there after. For months re tried a bunch of over the counter products. It was just a waste of money.
Well, after reading all the natural remedies with lemon skins, vinegar drops and duct tape, it started to sound as though they were trying suffocate the plantar wart.
Well, I ended up going to the dollar store and bought a container big enough to put my foot in and about a half gallon of vinegar. I went home put my foot in the container and filled it with vinegar(don't remember which kind, it was clear). The vinegar went up to ankle fully submerging the plantar wart, which was on the bottom of my foot. I left my foot in the container for about 30 min. I was looking at a 30 minute show, to make the time fly by. When I pulled it out I applied a couple of drops of key lime (don't think this did it but I did do it).
The next day I could see the plantar wart but I could squeeze it now and it was no longer tender and painful (almost like it was dead). Needless to say I did the same for my son and he had the same results. I did nothing else after this. It took about a month to completely disappear and it left no scar.
Neither I nor my son felt any pain after what I call the “Plantar Warts Be Gone Treatment”. Total cost $3.00 and tax at a dollar store. 2 Containers and a half gallon of clear vinegar.
If this helps you, Please spread the word to other forums as these plantar warts are painful. It’s been over 6 months now and no reappearance of any Plantar Warts on me or my son.

INGREDIENTS: Apple Cider Vinegar, Duct tape and cotton.
I used the apple cider vinegar that cost $1.39, soaking a cotton ball or take off the ends of a q-tip, you can soak it in the cap of the vinegar bottle and then put it on the wart with a small piece of duct tape on the foot, for each wart, then take a bigger piece of duct tape to cover the smaller pieces of tape, if you have more than one wart on your foot. and then i wrap it in SelfGrip elastic self adhering elastic bandage, to secure it and wore a sock to bed.
For the foot, soak in water for 5 to 10 min, scape off what you can with your fav tool, maybe try to draw a little blood. It hurts like hell when you put the ACV on, like someone shot your foot with a shot gun, that is how i knew it was working.
Within a week, my wart that has been there for more than 6 years and after trying everything, spending lots of money for docs, freezing my foot off, to over the counter junk. The ACV remedy worked in a week. It started to turn black within the first 2 days of the process (those are the roots) and the next week it came off. The apple cider vinegar is cheap and works so quickly, plus it works in the middle of the night, if you do it in the day you may not be able to walk.
Don't wast your money, just keep at it and it will go away. The foot is harder to kill than warts on the hands or face, cuase they grow inside the foot, so you need to soak and scrap. The hands, just have to just apply a cotton ball or q-tip ends with a band Aid and that is it. duct tape alone with take for ever and nothing has worked except this.

I picked up a plantar wart near my heel - on the outside edge of my foot - after a visit to the local swimming baths/pool about a year ago. A doctor confirmed this was a plantar wart.
Ever since this, I have waged war against this irksome growth. I completely understand those people on this forum who get a little obsessed by trying to destroy their plantar wart(s). I know I have been.
Unlike the careless idiots who just wander about barefoot, spreading the virus, I have always been extremely careful about not spreading it further. If you're reading this and have a plantar wart, please pay other people the same courtesy!
So, I started out with buying a home freezing kit here in Australia for close to $20. It made absolutely no difference at all.
Next, I bought some of those Dr Scholl stickers with an acid adhesive. This did make the plantar wart smaller, but they fell off all the time, or stuck to a good part of my foot, thereby damaging healthy skin!
After I found this forum, I tried the much exalted apple cider vinegar (ACV) method. Unfortunately, I can't claim any great success with this. I filed the wart down with an emory board, soaked some cotton swabs with ACV, and then wrapped with duct tape. I kept at it for close to two months, and, yes, the wart would turn black, but I'm wondering if this isn't just the colour of the vinegar when it dries on the skin/wart. The skin around the wart became very soft and painful, but the wart didn't seem to mind all that much. When I stopped, it just grew back.
Next, whilst overseas, I purchased some 'Verrufilm' which basically seals the wart in a flexible membrane of salicylic acid (5%). This certainly cut the wart down to size. However, I continued this remedy for possibly 6-8 weeks until I decided I'd had enough of filing, picking and applying different substances to this thing! I opted to simply let the wart grow back so I could show it to another doctor to have it cut out. However, it hasn't grown back!
I think what I have learned from all this is that no single solution is necessarily going to work, as it's really down to your immune system to defeat the virus. Interestingly, when I started taking higher levels of vitamin C, a garlic supplement, and a multi-vitamin with zinc, in addition to applying the 'Verrufilm', my immune system was given a much-needed boost.
Anyway, my short answer would be to take some vitamin supplements to boost your immune system as well as one of the methods suggested on this forum. The very fact you have a plantar wart at all would suggest that your immune system may be a little weak currently (possibly getting too many late nights, drinking too much alcohol, smoking, stressed out... etc.). In any case, the vitamins certainly won't hurt in your war against the wart!
Good luck!

my 10 year old daughter got a wart on her toe.we thought it to be a corn but after some time we realized it was spreading....we went to the doctor who advised a surgery....i was totally taken aback then i read about apple cider vinegar and duct tape...i thought to give it a try....i used to soak her feet in acv for 20 minutes and tie duct tape around it....n the magic happened.....after 21 days warts turned black n it took it off using a nail clipper....slo wly with passing of time the infected skfin was removed and healthy pink tissue could be seen within 40 days there were no sign of the warts on her foot.....i strongly recommend duct tape and acv for the treatmant of this plantar wart....and if it is unavailable one can also try clear nailpaint on it....the logic is not letting them breathe...

I noticed my plantar wart back in November/December but was unsure of its identity as such. At first, I thought I had steppe don something and it was irritating the skin on my foot, causing it to swell, hurt, and appear infected. In January/February, I realized this was not the case, and I, in fact, had a plantar's wart.
I first tried treating it with a 'Wart Stick,' which resembles chapstick in all of its qualities save the presence of Salicylic acid. This proved disasterous, as the topical treatment easily smeared because of its texture and was thus ate away the healthy skin surrounding the wart, which I eventually had to cut away. After allowing the area to completely heal (I applied Neosporin antibiotic ointment to it and covered the area with a gigantic bandaid, as I was terrified of getting an infection), I tried a new approach: Dr. Scholl's medicated plantar wart removal discs.
After doing so for about 2-3 weeks, I became impatient. I then read that aloe vera gel (get the kind that has few to no extra additives) has antiviral and antibacterial properties that can kill warts-- it sounded like a plan.
After only about 3-5 days of consistently applying aloe gel to a cottonball and taping the cottonball over my wart after washing the area thoroughly, I noticed a change. The wart was beginning to turn a light grey, which I knew it does before it turns black and dies.
One day, as I was in a hurry and did not have time to mess with cottonballs, aloe, and tape, I instead decided just to cover the wart with one of Dr. School's medicated plantar wart disks and protective covers. Note: these both stick directly to the skin... so when I went to remove them later on, I ended up pulling and having a section of the wart come off, too! Realizing that this was exactly what I wanted, I grabbed a pair of tweezers, gritted my teeth, and pulled off the rest of the wart. (Note: I pulled off the exterior part of the wart only... I left the internal 'root' alone and did no digging of any sort into my foot. I figured continued applications of aloe would now go directly to the root and kill the virus.)
So... I continued to frequently wash the area and put aloe and a bandaid over the hole that was left behind for a week or so until it closed up and appeared healed. It's been just over a month-- the area appears completely healed and I can barely recognize any scar at all. I am sure none will remain in the future.
NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU APPLY THE ALOE AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE BECAUSE IT DRIES/IS SOAKED UP RATHER QUICKLY.

My son had about 15 plantar’s wart on his right foot. We twice tried freezing with liquid nitrogen at the doctors with lots of pain and no effect (perhaps even more warts as a result?). We tried over-the-counter salic acid treatments – causing painful calluses and warts going under the callus. We then tried apple cider vinegar after seeing this and other sites. AMAZING results. We started 6 months ago with one wart at a time – since there are reports of pain. Our method - after showing or soaking foot in water – soaked a portion of a cotton ball, which matches the size of the wart, in apple cider vinegar and applied to the wart and then applied a band-aid to hold the cotton ball in place on the wart - every night a bed time. For us, after about 4 or 5 nights, the top layer of skin and wart was dead and none have come back and all have 100% healed skin. We are on the last “mother wart” and that is also just about completely gone. I cannot overstate how amazed and happy we are with the results. Easy to do. Do it at your house. Very little pain. Warts are gone. It you have plantar’s warts – please try this.

Since I had never had a plantar wart before, I actually thought I had a touch of arthritis on the bottom of my left foot, just below the little toe. I had pain that affected my walk and my biking for 5 years before my wife started talking about warts. I looked at the bottom of my foot, and discovered a small faint white ring surrounding a 3/16' open area, and decided to give a wart remedy a try. I read the articles on this site, and bought a number of the items listed here, thinking that if the first didn't work, I'd move to the next one, etc. So I tried the liquid bandage and duct tape method first. After about 5 days, the pain started subsiding for the first time in years, after 4 weeks, the wart seemed like it was almost gone, but I could still see part of the ring. To be safe, I continued for another two weeks, twice a day. Once in the morning, and before bed at night, I would apply liquid bandage (actually Skin Shield), allow it to dry, and then put on a patch of duct tape. It's been a month since I stopped, and now, no pain, and no wart. I spoke to my Dr about this, and his opinion was that if it worked, give it a shot. I would recommend this method to anyone.

When I was 12 I noticed a wart growing at the bottom of my foot. I tried salicylic acid and other over-the-counter products which didn't work. I ended up just learning to live with it and trying to hide it from most people. It slowly spread and small warts popped up here and there. About an year ago, the main wart started getting bigger with smaller warts clustering around it. I still put it off until about two weeks ago. Finally, I decided I wanted to start getting rid of it because I wanted to start practicing yoga and having warts all over my foot just wouldn't do. So here goes...
Basically, I googled plantar wart remedies and found this website and decided to use what was most convenient for me and what seemed most effective from most of your posts.
Night: Piece of cotton ball soaked in apple cider vinegar with cayenne pepper placed directly on the wart with a waterproof bandaid to cover and bandaged up with sports tape.
Day: White nail polish painted over the wart and bandaged with sports tape.
I repeated this process for about two weeks...
Comments: After 2-3 nights of the apple cider vinegar and cayenne pepper treatment, I started feeling burning sensations in and around the wart area. As much as I could, I would use an emery board mainly in the shower at first to remove dry skin. The skin around the wart became dead and completely white. There were some day especially during week two that it was slightly painful to walk and put pressure on my heel where the wart was. The black roots came up during the second week. I just continued the procedure and about a week and a half in, I was able to scrape out most of the black roots. And, just yesterday, I used the emery board to remove a lot of the white dead skin left and realized that the wart was gone because whatever skin was underneath the black roots was level with the skin of the rest of my heel. It's still a bit sensitive to pressure because it seems that the layer of skin in the area where the wart was is still thin and healing.
Thanks guys for all your help! A 14-year wart gone in two weeks with faith and persistence. Hope you all have success in removing yours.

I am only submitting this after encouragement from family and friends. I had a cluster of plantar warts on the ball of my left foot for about 3 years (30 or more), I tried every remedy possible - dermatologist visits, duck tape, copper penny, vitamin E, vinegar, over the counter - you name it. I sell BeautiControl and heard about one product good for sunburns - it moisturized the skin so well the skin would heal and not peel, so a friend who got a blister doing the breast cancer 3 day had my cream with her and tried it on her blister - she said it worked and after 2 days the blister was gone. I thought, I might as well give it a shot. I began putting BeautiControl's Dermal Filling Moisture Masque on my plantar warts at night before I went to bed, then in the morning I would scrape them with a Pedi-Egg. It took 2 months and they were completely gone. I wish I had before and after pictures because your mouth would drop, but they were so disgusting I would've never wanted a photo. I am looking forward to going to the pool this summer and not trying to hide my foot! You can purchase this product from any BC Consultant. I can't link my webpage but you can search for Dionitia's beautipage and it should come up. This was not painful and it didn't take long - I wish I had discovered it 3 years ago! Good luck, I know they are uncomfortable and embarrasing!

i tried acv & duct tape combo for 2 months,
the effect is just tickling the virus.
i tried nail polish remover, clear nail polish &
duct tape combo, now the virus is rotting.
what you should do, 1.)soak the wart in nail polish
remover for about 20 to 30 minutes only enough to
fill the infected area, after soaking, your feet
will really get dry ready for next step. 2.)get an
emery board to file the wart, feel free to file
until you will see blood, stop filing, don't touch
the wart as this is contagious, you might end up
having a wart in your finger, this means you already
hit the head. 3.)now polish the wart with a clear
nail polish, enough to cover the entire wart, let it
dry. 4.)after drying the polish, cover it with duct
tape, enough to keep it dry for at least 2 days,
cover your foot with any plastic wrap when taking a
bath. Repeat the process every 2 days until there is
no blood coming out in the wart area. What you're
doing here is suffocating the virus cause it needs
oxygen and keeping away from skin moisture for it to
survive. Hope this helps. Now i'm only treating 1
small wart after having almost 10.

I've been treating my 7 year old for a plantar wart on the bottom of her foot for more than 3 months with salicylic acid. The wart got bigger, was painful and had 2 baby warts. 4 days ago I tried soaking half a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar and holding it in place over the warts with plastic bandages. I put them on morning and night after soaking her foot in water for a few minutses. There was a dramatic improvement immediately. The small warts fell of right away, the big wart turned black and completely peeled off on its own last night. I am amazed and so relieved to see an end to this. One time we tried putting the acv on without soaking in water first--that burned--we soaked in water, the pain went away. Soaking and applying acv cured this in just 4 days. Astounding.

I made a promise to myself that if I ever removed the plantar wart that resided on my foot for the last 3-1/2 years, that I would post on this site.
I'm pretty sure that I got the wart from practicing yoga in sweaty, hot rooms, with floors that probably were not the ideal in cleanliness following a class. The wart manifested in the usual way, which was a hardening of the skin directly on the ball mount of my foot. I noticed that the footprint swirls of my foot weren't showing. When I have normal callouses, the fingerprint or footprint swirls I have don't disappear. In fact, sometimes the dry skin augments them. Even so, I thought this was just a callous, so I tried to pumice it off using a pumice stone. When I did that, however, it really hurt, and, though removing the initial dead skin (actually just the part of the wart that was showing), it continually came back, and then bigger. I did not know what the heck this thing was, and I was really alarmed by it. If I pushed on the sides of it, I felt pain. If I stood on it the wrong way, it really hurt. I thought I was going to be stuck with this thing for life, until a friend of mine who saw the bottom of my foot informed me that it was a plantar's wart. Now that I knew what it was, it was time to get rid of it.
I tried all of the store bought remedies. I tried the freezing method, salycilic acid, both the liquid and the stick pads. I tried duct tape, oregano oil, apple cider vinegar, bleach, peroxide, and aloe vera. The first time I tried oregano oil with a bandage over the wart after application, it made the wart appear a little black because it popped some of the blood vessels in my foot. The oregano oil was medicinal strength from Young Living, which is one of the best companies out there for essential oils. I combined the oil with pumicing my foot, and the wart actually shrunk. In fact, it shrunk so much that I thought I got rid of it. Big mistake!!! It grew back, and started growing really fast. This was getting to be discouraging. In fact, it seemed to develop an immunity to the oregano oil. While the wart stopped growing, the oil wasn't helping shrink it.
Apple Cider Vinegar helped to turn the wart black, and may have helped remove a layer or two, but the pain was so excruciating I couldn't continue. At this point, the wart was the width and shape of a golf ball. My foot would feel like it was vibrating, and I couldn't stand on it, the pain was so terrible.
I had tried duct tape on several occasions, and since I wasn't educated on the wart, I wasn't using it right. While I was removing layers, I hadn't been doing it long enough or consistently. So I made the determination that I was going to wear the duct tape over the wart for 2 months. I put just enough duct tape to cover the wart on my foot. Now here are several secrets: First, I applied the duct tape right after showering and drying off so that my foot was clean, dry, and warm. The hotter my foot was, temperature-wise, the more easily the duct tape was able to adhere to my foot and stay. This makes ALL the difference in the world. If you try to apply the duct tape when your foot is sweaty or cold, it will fall off. Secondly, I put a band-aid over the duct tape in order to keep the duct tape on my foot so it wouldn't rub off while it was in my shoe, or while I was walking barefoot. Secondly, whenever I did something athletic, I put athletic tape on my foot (just a couple of light wraps) right over the band-aid to keep the duct tape on there. When I pulled the athletic tape off, it pulled the band-aid off, but the duct tape remained. When I showered, the duct tape stayed on my foot because my initial application was when my foot was clean and warm, so the adherence was very strong.
Please note, when I initially put on the duct tape, that area of my foot would really hurt for the first day. I think this was due to the asphyxiation of the skin on the foot, combined with asphyxiating this virus (a Plantars Wart is also known as Human Papilloma Virus, or HPV). However, by day two or three, it no longer hurt.
My commitment was to leave the duct tape on my foot as long as I could, maxing out at 10 days. It only usually lasted about 5 days. Here is what happened: my foot would start to itch right where the tape was. Sometimes I would slap that area of my foot to alleviate the itchiness. It itched sort of like a healing tattoo (for those of you who know that feeling). The itch would start after about 3 days. I kept the tape on. After about 5 days, the tape would start to come off on the edges. When that happened, I would shower first, and then pull the tape off. When I did this, there was skin attached to the bottom of the tape (the top layer of the wart), and there was a whole bunch of white skin underneath. A lot of this skin would just peel or fall off of my foot at the touch, and so I would peel or pull off as much skin as would come off freely (digging in further than that is not a good idea, as it just hurts, and won't increase the speed at which the wart goes away). Then I would put another swatch of duct tape over the wart. Since I was freshly showered, and my foot was still warm and dry, the duct tape adhered well. Then I added the band-aid (which I had to replace often, by the way), and we were off to the races. The wart was getting smaller, and the skin that previously had the wart on it was starting to heal. Please note: I only put enough duct tape on to cover the wart; I wanted the surrounding skin that had the wart on it to get healthy again. So, as the wart got smaller, the swatches of duct tape got smaller.
During one of my tapings, I noticed that some of my skin directly outside of the tape was turning yellow. The wart seemed to be trying to spread outside of the tape. Perhaps the tape hadn't stuck as well. When I was in the shower, I noticed that this yellow skin seemed to be layered on top of my normal skin in a visible way. Using tweezers, that skin peeled right up. There was very little resistance, and the skin just came off. It was amazing. Right underneath was pink skin. I did this while in the shower, while the duct tape covered the majority of the wart. After a few days, my foot started itching. A couple of days after that, the tape started to peel up. I followed the same process, and pulled the tape off, and dug out the available layers of the wart. The wart got smaller. I did the tape again. Same method as before. The same process happened a couple more times over the period of about a month and a half. One time, I jumped in the shower without tape on my foot just to wash that part of my foot (now about the size of a pea), and because it felt good not to have the tape. I noticed more of that yellow skin I could see through when it was wet. I did the same thing with the tweezers, and that layer peeled right up. Strange, right? As I looked at my foot, it didn't appear that there was anything there anymore. It looked like maybe I got through the final layer. Even so, to be cautious, I put on the tape for another two weeks. However, the tape simply stuck. My foot did not itch, and when I pulled the tape off (this time it stuck completely until I decided to replace it...No coming up at the edges), no skin was attached, and the skin underneath was simply white from lack of air exposure. The wart was gone. I figured that it had to be gone, although I almost couldn't believe it, since I had the wart so long. In fact, this wart was on my foot for so long, I forgot what it felt like not to have it. I was very cautious over the next few days looking for sudden growth that seemed like dead skin. After all, the bottom of my foot, though not scarred, was not perfectly pristine. I wanted to make sure it wasn't there, or regrowing. There were no new growths, or sudden appearances of dead skin.
The skin under the wart has now come back healthy. It feels so good to walk again. My foot actually tingles sometimes in that area because it is finally continually receiving air exposure.
Hopefully, this method helps somebody out there. I know how frustrating these things are. Good luck!!!

My 8 year old son had a small plantar wart on the ball of his foot. I took him to his doctor twice and had it frozen. They told me to keep filing it down and applying OTC medicine to it everyday. This I did for a couple of weeks. It only got bigger (really big) and he developed another small one next to it. All this did in my opinion was spread the virius. After reading the comments on this site (and praying) I tried the bee propolis 70% tincture. I could cry with gratitude to the person who posted this remedy. His small wart disappeared in about 3 days. The large one took about 2 weeks. This was completely painless (and NO filing). I bought the tincture online at vitacost for around $11.00. Over the two weeks I applied it every night before bed. It is very sticky so have a large bandaid ready to put on and avoid getting it on anything else. Sometimes the small bandaid would stick to the wart and this was painful for my son. He also took 3 1000mg pills over the two week period. After several days the wart appeared to be drying out. It started pushing itself out of the skin...then one morning I took off his bandaid and that wart fell right off. It didn't gradually disappear it just pushed out of the skin and fell off. I think an adult could actually get rid of their warts faster by applying the ticture twice a day and taking an oral dose of the proplis. But now I am just spectulating. I am absolutely amazed and forever grateful for this remedy.

has anyone ever tried hydrogen peroxide? i've had a plantar wart under my big toe for almost three years. tried the acv numerous times, kept it up for two months at one point but never went away...just had an achy smelly foot.
gave up the beggining of this year and just taped it up with athletic tape or green painters tape. then around june i re-called reading health articles about hydrogen peroxide and the benefits to the body and fighting diseases. i thought might as well give it a try. same procedure as the acv, get a cotton ball, soak it with hydrogen peroxide and tape it over the wart. sometimes i changed it once a day and if i remembered twice a day. sometimes i forgot and changed once every 2-3days. i never really looked at the wart when putting on a new cotton ball w/hydrogen peroxide but two weeks later i noticed new skin growth and the top part of the wart that was all calloused was gone. kept it up a little more and sometimes regular vinegar to change things up and now i'm completly wart free. i even had a satelite wart under my fourth toe that was all hard and calloused and that completly disapered.
it's like they just dissolved. now i picked two or three tiny satelite warts and i found those black pulp things that people mentioned so i thought my big wart should have a huge one. but when feel where the wart was it's like touching regular skin, same as the spot under my fourth toe. another factor i think that might have helped was that i started drinking veg and fruit smoothies twice a day everyday. maybe all the fresh vitamins and minerals helped kill the wart?
anyways, hope this helps and try different things, something will work get rid of those little buggers.

AMAZING!!! That's all I can say about this page. I used a combination of ACV and hyd. peroxide and my wart is gone. After 2 years of discomfort and 9 mos. and 3 freezing from the dr. I decided to look online. I began with 3 days of ACV. On the 4th day i noticed a ridge I could get my fingernail on. As I peeled back the layer I noticed it was bringing up a big section of the wart. There was some pain, but I tore it off. It brought up over 1/2 of the wart. It left a hole and the remaining wart which I then soaked 2-3-4 times a day. After soaking I would apply hyd. peroxide. After that I would follow with ACV. 2 weeks later--just 16 days-- after beginning treatment I believe I am completely wart free. I am running again with no discomfort for the first time in 2 years. Did I say AMAZING. $1200 to the dr. $100 more to the store for compound w and its home freezing cousin. All the time lost. One thing. I used natural/organic ACV. We bough Ma Braggs. I don't know if that made a difference.

When I first read on here about Plantar Wart Apple Cider treatment...I thought are you kidding me? However,
This absolutely worked for me with no pain. I am absolutely amazed! I read this post 6 months before I tried it and bought the apple cider vinegar 5 months ago thinking this is a bogus remedy. Having all else failed, I gave it a try. I have been to dermatologists who froze with nitrogen, poisoned with chemicals, trimmed and lasered, etc. over 15+ years, one foot with three warts and they all came back after treatment in the same spots. All I did was trim back the built up callous area around the wart and soaked my foot in pure ACME apple cider vinegar (5% acidity) for 1/2 to 1 hour while sitting at my home office desk working. I can't believe it actually worked.

I've had my plantar wart for a while. I showed my friend and she told me her and my other friend had them before.
They told me that all they did was put clear nailpolish over the plantar wart.
So, I tried it. I can see it starting to die already, and it's only been about three days. It's absolutely painless!
The way it works is that the nail polish suffocates the wart.
Try this, trust me!

My first Plantar wart appeared three years ago. I never took much notice to it, until I noticed three more (that look identical, but smaller) growing near by it. I was very upset and worried, I even cried. I went to the doctors but didn't like any of the treatments they were providing. So I turned to the net. APPLE CINDER VINEGAR WORKS!! I would soak a cotton ball in the vinegar place it on top of my wart(I used 4 cotton balls, since I had 4 warts to cover). I would also apply some tape over them so the cotton balls would stay in place. I did this when I was going to bed, that way I wouldn't have to worry about walking around. I would removed the cotton balls in the morning, and then reply them again at night. I didn't this for a good two weeks everyday. Every morning I would wake up I could notice the warts getting darker and darker. It soon reached a point where I could pick them off like scabs...NO PAIN..

Today is 08/08/08.
Ok people. This is the 3rd time I have came to this site looking for home remedies. First because my dog had Mange, then my friend had a boil and now for Plantar Warts. And I KID YOU NOT, EVERY ONE OF THE REMEDIES I HAVE FOUND HAS WORKED!!!!
When my 10 yr old son showed me his foot about 6 weeks ago, I just brushed it off and thought it was just a 'callous' on this foot. When he showed me again last week and he had more of what I thought were just a 'callous' but now on BOTH feet. I knew these had to be Plantar Warts. I called my brother who had experienced these with his kids a couple years ago and he came over and confirmed they were Plantar Warts.
Right away I came to this website and saw the Duct Tape & Apple Cider Vinegar remedy and all the results that people wrote about. So what did I do....went home that night (7/30/08) with duct tape and apple cider vinegar. My brother bought some WARTNER for Planter Warts to try too. So what I did was, 1 foot NOT USE THE WARTNER, just the ACV and Duct Tape, and the other foot use it the Wartner Wart Remover. ALONG With the duct tape and Apple Cider Vinegar. The Wartner is just to be used ONCE. NOT EVERY NIGHT.
Today is 8/8/08 and I have put the duct tape and cotton balls soaked with ACV, on EVERY SINGLE NIGHT since then. Covering each wart with its own soaked cotton ball. Left them on only to change the tape and the cotton balls every night. I also file the wart down with a foot file/pumice stone. I may have missed like 2 nights of the soaked cotton balls because my son complained of the soarness. But kept the duct tape on. I do this just before he goes to bed. Make him wear socks over his feet. Make him wear the tape with the cotton balls the whole next day until its time to change them again. NEVER EVER taking them off but to change the tape and cotton balls.
It took about 5 days and me worrying that maybe this wasn't working. On the 6th day, I unwrapped his feet when ALL 6 Warts were BLACK in the middle (including the one that I hadn't used the wart remover on). We were jumping for joy. One looks as it its about ready to fall off, the others are a little deeper in his skin, but still black and I will continue to file them down until they are totally gone. I think this might take about another week or 2. I honestly think it is the duct tape and ACV that is killing the warts.
THIS METHOD REALLY DOES WORK!!
It takes a few days to notice a difference in the wart, but it does work. You just have to be patient. Not to mention, my son had a little wart on his finger that I have been doing the same therapy to since I started on his feet, and that one too is now black in the middle.
Going forward, I will always come to this site before going to the Dr. for home remedies. Like I said, this is my 3rd time visiting it and EVERY SINGLE METHOD I HAVE TRIED WORKED.

I've had a plantar wart the size of a dime on the side of my big toe for about a year and a half. Initially I went to the doctor who recommended salicylic acid. After about a month of failure, the wart came back bigger so I went back to the doctor. It was then frozen off with liquid nitro. This also did not work. On the advice from my GP, I purchased the Dr. Scholls home Freeze off kit. After 3 applications, the wart just kept getting bigger. Then I found this website (and several others).
I started using a combination of white vinegar on a cotton ball taped on tight, and taking 800mg of Tagament (2 doses of 400mg) per day. When I get our of the shower in the mornings, I clean the warts with rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab to dry them out. Then I re-apply the vinegar, and do the same thing every night before I go to bed. It burns and throbs like crazy and actually woke me up every several hours while I was asleep.
After 48 hours, the wart started to get smaller, and had these black squiggly lines in the center, and a large white ring around the outside. I took a disposable emery board and tried to remove some of the dead skin, and continued with the vinegar treatment.
It's been 4 days now and this morning the wart was completely black! It still hurts, but not nearly as bad. It is nearly flat to my foot, and totally looks like it's working. I'll continue with the vinegar treatment and post back when it falls off. I'm seriously impressed, and actually optimistic that this is working!!

THE EASIEST AND FOOL-PROOF REMEDY:
SOAK YOUR FOOT IN VINEGAR EVERY NIGHT WHEN YOU WATCH TV: IT IS COMPLETELY PAINLESS AND 30 MINS PER DAY WOULD BE ENOUGH. FILE IT DOWN PERIODICALLY TO GET RID OF DEAD SKIN AND WRAP IN A DUCK TAPE FOR THE DAY. 2-3 WEEKS LATER YOUR WART WILL BE GONE - GUARANTEED!!!!!!
I've struggled for over 5 years. Had a surgery, but it didn't help. I ended up having a quarter size wart plus mozaic spreat all over the foot. I was ready to give up and then I found this website. Thanks God!!!! Now my foot is completely normal, the only thing is left - the scar from the surgery - it's one more reason why noone should go under lazer with plantar warts - hurt as hell and not effective! If you have any questions, send me an email: devchonkat@yahoo.com. Good luck!

When I was 6 or 7 years old I had 3 plantar warts removed by a doctor who used liquid nitrogen. It was excruciating and so traumatizing that I developed a phobia of being barefoot in fear of getting another one. Almost 20 years later I was horrified to discover that I got another one.
I stumbled upon this site and decided to try to 70% bee propolis. After the first day, that feeling that you're walking on a jagged stone was gone and I couldn't feel it at all. A few days later the wart looked like it was drying up and within about a week it just came off. I used duct tape to cover it instead of a bandaid in hopes it might also suffocate the wart and kill it faster. This method is fast, painless, easy and it WORKS. No filing is necessary. Just goop it on and let it do the work.
The bee propolis is really sticky but if you dry it slightly with a blow dryer before covering it with a bandaid or duct tape, that will prevent it from squishing out and getting all over your floors, socks or shoes.

Apple Cider Vinegar works!!!
This is an in-depth guide on how I got rid of my plantar warts:
Materials:
ACV
Small cup
Q-tip
Cotton balls
2 Paper towels(optional but recommended)
Walgreens Strong Strips: water resistant adhesive bandages
Johnson & Johnson sports tape
Scissors
Trash Can (Have it near you as you work)
WASH YOUR HANDS BEFORE YOU BEGIN!
Follow these steps:
1. Gather all materials and place the trash can near you.
2.(Optional Step but recommended for sanitary purposes)Tear one paper towel into 2 pieces and fold the other in half. The 2 pieces that were torn from the first towel will be used to clean the area before applying ACV. Soak one piece of water and leave the other piece dry. Using the wet piece, wipe the wart-infested area several times taking care to remove any dirt, etc. Use the dry piece to dry the newly cleaned area. Throw both pieces away. The other paper towel that has been folded in half will serve as the working area.
3. Pour some ACV into a small cup. Grab a cotton ball and pull out small pieces. The size and quantity depends on how big your warts are and how many you have. Pull out one piece for every wart and make the pieces bigger or smaller depending on how big your warts are.
4. Using a Q-tip, apply some ACV onto the plantar warts - enough to cover them completely with ACV.
5. Take one of the smaller cotton ball pieces you pulled in step 3 and dip it entirely into the small cup of ACV. Using your finger, lift the soaked cotton ball out of the cup and place it onto a wart. Cover the wart completely with the soaked cotton ball.
6. Repeat step 5 for each of the warts you have.
7. Now, use the Walgreens Strong Strip adhesive bandages to hold the soaked cotton balls in place. You may need more than 1 depending on how many warts you have.
8. Lastly, cut off several pieces of Johnson & Johnson sports tape with scissors to cover the Walgreens Strong Strip adhesive bandages. Make sure to overlap the adhesive bandages with sports tape to fully secure the soaked cotton balls and to make sure no vinegar leaks out from underneath the adhesive bandages.
9. Try to stay off your foot for half an hour. This is to prevent any of the vinegar from squishing out - sports tape won't completely prevent it.
10. Clean everything up, throw all the trash away, and remember to wash the small cup.
These 10 steps should be followed every morning when you wake up and every night before you go to bed until the warts are gone. I recommend keeping the bandages on when you shower but taking them off immediately afterwards. Therefore, it would be a good idea to shower after you wake up and then put on ACV or shower before bed and put on ACV before tucking in.
What to expect:
Days 1-3: The first couple days there will be some irritating burning. This is completely normal and in fact will let you know that the ACV is working. The burning sensation is more annoying than outright painful and should subside after the first several days. Additionally, in these first several days, the warts will begin to bloat up and turn into a pale yellowish-white color.
Days 4-6: The burning sensation should subside and you will notice the warts changing color from pale yellowish-white to brownish-black.
Days 7-9: The warts should be almost dead by now. You will notice lots of dead skin now as you tear off the tape and bandages to apply ACV in the morning and at night. You are almost wart free. Rub off the dead skin gently with your fingers and keep on applying ACV twice a day.
Days 10-12: By now, you should have lost a couple layers of dead skin and have reached the more sensitive layers of skin. At this point, most people should be able to dig out their dead warts using a small toothpick. The warts should come out easily and painlessly as you dig them out. If you find that your warts have not come out, they may be heavily rooted and you need a couple more days of ACV treatment.
Days 13+: From here on out, be careful with how much ACV you apply because you should be at the more sensitive layers of skin. Only apply once a day now and use significantly smaller amounts of ACV on the skin. Burning may reoccur. Within several days, the last of the stubborn warts should have diminished. If they have not, continue treatment at your own risk until you have reached 3 weeks. If by that time, your warts will still not come out, consult a doctor.
That is my guide on how to get rid of these plantar warts and I wish you all luck in your journey to be PW free!

OK, the easiest is neosporin, medical tape, and a band-aid. Just put some neosporin on the wart, cover with a band-aid, and wrap a layer of tape around your foot (for extra security). For the people with ACV remedy, you know how after a while it turns white from the vineger? Well, after one day with the neosporin it turned white. I recommend this to anybody that has a plantar wart. Just reapply every day when you wake up or before you go to work/school.
Hope I helped!

I resisted the urge to post on my facebook page:'I JUST GOT RID OF MY PLANTARS WART'! I figured this was a more appropriate forum :). I used the apple cider vinegar, cotton, duct tape so many people have used here. One additional thing I did was after the scraping off routine at night, I soaked the tool in bleach and water overnight so I wouldn't reinfect anything. This really works. Be diligent, keep at it, you will see results a few days!

I was reading yesterday 7-15-08 about using ACV to get rid of plantar warts and I used it lastnight and I can already tell difference today 7-16-08. I can't believe it really is working. I put ACV on cotton ball and taped it to each foot with duct tape and today on my left foot the hard spot that hurt is white and puffy and I can see the black dot in center. I'm using it again this evening and my feet are not sore when walking around. I surely am impressed and it really seems to be working for me. I would suggest to anyone else to try it. So glad I found this web site with the helpful information.

I am someone who has a very serious fear/disgust with feet (as in, I don't touch anyone elses's, and don't like touching my own). When I was 8, I had a plantar wart in the sole of my foot and was so terrified/sickened by it that I ripped it out of my foot with my fingernails.
Exactly a month ago, after showering in public showers on a camping trip, I noticed a small black bump on the sole of my right foot. Coming home, I figured out that it was a plantars wart, and confirmed with my mom (a biology teacher). Freaked out, I bought thuja, a homeopathic remedy. My wart didn't get very much bigger (probably the size of a pencil eraser), but after two and a half weeks, it wasn't getting better, and I got a tiny second wart about an inch away (connected to the same nerve). After doing reading online, I decided to try Apple Cider Vinegar. After a week and a half of soaking, at least 20 minutes a day, and taping a gauze pad soaked in ACV to my foot each night--the biggest part of my wart has fallen off, and I'm sure the root is to follow. Apple Cider Vinegar saved me from having to go to a doctor, or even buying a more acidic compound that would, as my mom says, burn a hole in my foot. My foot hurt for about an hour the first night I had a gauze pad taped to it, and after that, no pain. I highly recommend it-I spent about 10 dollars in all (for tape and the ACV, since I work on a farm and had to cover it fully).
Apple Cider Vinegar is the way to go.

I promised myself that if any remedy I found on this site worked to kill and destroy the irratating, annoying creature (plantar wart) that has lived on my foot for over 15 years I would be haappy to share with others how it feels to be free again.I found this site over a year ago. I was pregnant and really had given up on all the wart removal products that didn't stand a chance against the tough 500 army the wart brought to the fake acid fight the weak little wart pads had to bring. They didn't stand a chance. So I gave up. I decided sandals weren't for me anymore, they weren't that cute, right? Wrong! I said there must be something I could do other than use my utensils to file it down or scrape it flat enough to not look too odd. Okay, so I'm cruising online and I come across this website again. I have alot of time on my hands and by now I had my baby, so I think I'm ready to try again. I love the testomonies on here, everyone here has really been my support system on keeping at it, staying strong, and knowing I didn't have to go through another step of pain again. Thank you. I ran out and bought the acv, duct tape, and cotton balls and told my husband 'This is it I'm killing this wart before Christmas, I will not go another year with this leech (plantar wart) on my foot. It's over!' okay I said that but that night, it wasn't over, it was ON! I soaked 1 cotton ball in vinegar and this is after I soaked my foot in water for 5-10 min to be actually able to see the whole wart swell to it's full caulliflower surface. I then removed dead skin that protects what we call the 'seeds' (as much as possible without casusing pain). I then surrounded the wart with vaseline to protect my skin from the strength of the vinegar, I went onto drain excess vinegar yet keeping more than enough to be absorbed. I covered the enemy (plantart wart)with the cotton ball and quickly begin to wrap the duct tape around and around, my foot like I sprained my foot, you know? I made sure the vinegar wouldn't miss this sucker! I couldn't wait to get the same outcome as everyone here, and I got all of them too. It was painful at night, at times I had to cut the tape off! Oh my! I had to tell myself 'It must be working! I feel everything!' I stayed strong and continued to rock my sprained foot and sour smell for 4 weeks. Off and on, some nights I said 'Not tonight, but tommorow I'll be back at ya!' Okay so one day I took off the duct tape, and there was no pain, brown skin, and a dark brown spot in the center. I was nervous and let it dry out a few days.I would poke it, still no pain. Then I pulled some dead skin off, and there it was! The black seed sitting on my skin like a scab. To be so tiny I was like 'This is it?'. I picked it off like everyone here told me to do and......NO PAIN!!!My pretty pink skin was there! New skin!! Am I doing too much? OH WELL!!! It was one of the most fantastic feelings of my life! FREEDOM! You already know I went shopping for shoes! Cute ones too, open toes! HA! HA! If you have one of these annoying creatures living and multiplying, and abrupting your life, KILL IT NOW!!! Get the ACV, DUCT TAPE, COTTON BALLS,and PATIENCE and GO TO WAR. You deserve it, try it and I know I will be hearing of your success very soon. Congrats beacuse I know your the WINNER!

Apple Cider Vinegar!! Yeah thats it.
Stuff to pick up
1. Apple Cider Vinegar
2. Cotton Balls
3. Scholl Corn protection foam pads
4. Leukoplast or some medical adhesive tape.
5. Voveran/Diclofenac/Pain Killers.
6. Q-tip
7. Surgical Scalpel - No 11
8. Latex glove
9. Surgical Spirit
10. Pumice stone
This method will take atleast a week but will fix the wart for good. I had this plantar wart under my foot right below the toe. It was a real PIA!. I went to doc and she prescribed duofilm to be coated on the wart till it softens, i tried this for a month but no use. Then told me to put calus cap on it, tried that for a week and burnt all the healthy tissue around the wart but no change for the VIP on my leg. So finally found this website, i dont have words to thank the people who suggested the ACV treatment. It works and really well. But be ready to take some serious burning. This is what i followed.
1. Use the latex glove always as these wart have tendencies to spread.
2. Use surgical spirit to clean the entire area and remove all the dirt around the wart.
3. Use the pumice stone to scrub the wart, no need to make it bleed and all.
4. Put the corn protection foam on the wart so that the wart is visible through the center hole on the foam, this is to protect the healthy tissue around the wart.
5. Use the q-tip to put some ACV on the wart.
6. Soak a cotton ball small enuf to fit the hole in the foam pad.
7. Put some adhesive tape to put the foam pad in place and also the cotton ball.
Repeat this procedure for 3 days, Have the pain killers if you cant bear the pain.
On the 3rd day, You will see black lines on the wart and yellowish white ring around the wart.
1. Use the surgical scalpel ( Be very careful ) to extract the wart from the core part, if it pains wait for one or two days with the ACV stuff. Do not go very deep as well. But do as it goes.
2. Continue the ACV for atleast 6-7 days.
3. Now that you have hole under ur feet and have made sure all those warty tissue is gone, use some topical antibiotic cream and some gauze to be pushed in to the hole and bandaid it.
4. Continue this until the hole is fully filled up with healthy tissue.
:) walla!! u r wart free and free to run around.
Couple of things which i learnt from this.
1. Do not roam around in common places which are wet, without a slipper or shoe.
2. If you are using a common shower make sure u wear a shoe.
3. Over the counter medicines such as corn cap, callus cap, salicilic acid are useless.
PS: Always use latex glove to touch or do anything on the wart. Do not let it spread.

Hi all,
Thanks to all the posts here. If I had them earlier I would have been able to find a remedy for the plantar wart sooner.
Last May I found I had a painful corn-like thing on the sole of my foot. I tried all kinds of off the shelf remedies including the salicylic acid treatment and dr scholl's pads etc. Nothing worked and it got worse. There was a terrible stinging pain every time I walked. By October it was unbearable. I avoided walking. Sometimes the pain would shoot all the way up my leg. I met a podiatrist who said it was a plantar wart and said there was no real cure for it, and he recommended the same salicylic acid treatment or a laser surgery and charged quite a bit to shave it off to reduce the pain temporarily. It subsided for a week or so but it became more painful by December. I heard there was no treatment. I then came across this site, and started the treatments one by one. I started the banana peel first, but that made it bigger and white and was very slow and painful. After two weeks of the peel treatment, I tried the apple cider treatment which was very painful and I could not sleep at times, but it started turning the wart brownish, but not black. It was still getting bigger and I had another smaller wart in the same area now. I kept applying a cotton ball soaked in apple cider every night and removing it in the morning, but decided to try the garlic treatment for a change. I started seeing results, but it was not overnight. The center of the warts started turning black, it was still painful. It started peeling but not fully cured even after three weeks. The skin seemed to be rising to the top. I would apply fresh garlic paste and put bandage, and leave it overnight or for a day sometimes. After a month of this, the whole area about the size of a dime, was peeling but the edges were still very painful. After about six weeks, the pain subsided. The area kept healing on its own after that. Try the remedy that suits you best, if it is not apple cider, it could be garlic. Also have a healthy diet and nutrition, it seems to have helped. Good luck and thanks to this forum!

I used straight tea tree oil for 2 nights, then soaked my foot in apple cider vinegar & water for about an hour, dried it and put a piece of duct tape over the wart & left it there for a week. When the duct tape fell off, the bulk of the wart came with it. Now I have the crater in my foot packed with ACV soaked cotton and hopefully that will take care of anything that's left!

Planters warts had gotten so bad I would set down and cry. I was hardly able to go to work or stand on them. I used pads/foam/wart medicine, etc from pharmacist and nothing worked, they continued to grow on my left foot on the bottom and the side. This went on for months and I went to a dermatologist, and had them cut off and got a acid salve to use that ate up the skin around them and never got rid of them. They suggested cutting or lasering them out, but they can return. They sent me to a dermatologist and he wanted to inject something in my foot that would hurt bad. I got fed up and went looking for natural remedies and thank God through prayer and this site my foot don't hurt anymore and less than a week later I see site is healing well. Formula is a combination of what I found on this site. 1 gallon of white Apple sider vinegar, a container to soak in, key limes in a bag, gauze pads and cotton balls and stretch tape in sports department. I put a gallon of white vinegar in a square tub and soaked both feet for 40 minutes and let it air dry, then before bed I rubbed the bottom of my feet with juice from a key lime and soaked cotton balls and put them on the places covered by gauze and the skin tape. take it off in the morning and just put a self stick gauze pad or large bandaid to cover the area. Even by the next morning I felt some relief and so I reapeated the keylime juice/vinegar cotton balls each night and on the third night I did the soaking again. By the next day I began to feel so much better as the pain was leaving my foot. I continued the keylime and cotton balls at night and removed them in the morning for the next week and now the pieces have just been falling off with baths and the foot is almost well. Keep up the night treatments with keylime/cotton ball till all is gone. I plan to write to both the Dr.s I saw and ask why they can't offer this pain free and cheaper way to their patients instead of all the suffering and pain they offer. For about 5 dollars in supplies I am so much the better because of finding your site and trying your remedies. Try it ...I promise it works.

***UPDATE*** I've been doing the ACV treatment for about 3 weeks now. The first day I applied it, I went about my business, and didn't feel any of the pain that other people talked about (I did it during the day so that I could sleep in case there was pain). At the end of the day I peeled of the bandaid with the cotton ball and the area was very puffy and round, almost looked like a ring of very white skin. After another day or 2 I noticed the black 'seed' showing in the middle of it. I kept up the process, sometimes applying the ACV for a full 24 hours at a time, sometimes only during the day. About a week ago, it stopped looking like a puffy ring of skin. Since I was constantly keeping it moist with the treatment, I decided to give my foot a day off to see what it looked like when it was totally dry. It appeared that several layers of skin had come off, and it was really hard to tell if the black seed was still there. I actually thought it was totally gone, but honestly I'm not sure what it is supposed to look like right after it goes away. Will the skin still be discolored at all? Should it all feel totally soft, or will it still feel somewhat coarse for a little while? Because I have all these questions now, I have started up again, at least once, sometimes twice applying the ACV. I'm so worried that if I stop too soon it will come back like before. Can anyone tell me exactly how I should handle this? Email me if you have suggestions chickky311@hotmail.com

I suffered with a Planters Wart for 7 months. I used the recommened over the counter wart remover and went to the Podiatrist 2x's a month to have it 'frozen'. Nothing worked. I decided to do nothing for about three weeks. After three weeks, I found spray peroxide and used it (sprayed and wrapped my foot up). AMazingly, my wart was gone in 2 days. I have no pain whatsoever! I highly recommend trying peroxide. To me it was a miracle!!

I have had mosaic plantar warts on the bottom of my foot for about 3 years now. They covered the size of about two half dollars on my right foot. I really wish I had taken a picture of my foot, but did not because I never though I'd get as far as I have. I've tried a lot. Duct tape alone (never did a thing for me), and tape holding on Garlic, Banana Peels, Pads w/ Apple cider vinigar... the only thing that appeared to work was the AC Vinigar, but all it really did was raise up the dead skin and every wart enough to chop off the dead skin with a razor blade. One week later the thick white skin was there agian. I've tried salicylic acid with nothing more than weeks of peeling skin revealing the warts underneath. Then after treatment they'd grow back. I took dry ice to my foot twice, after the first time looked like it helped. A week later, it all came back. And that was painful. Lastly, I tried in desparation, a weak concentration of nitric acid. Don't ask my where you can find this other than chemical suppliers. I recalled once in a chemistry mishap where nitric acid ate through my glove, got on my finger tip, turned the skin yellow, and it all fell off a few days later. Well, I intentionally rubbed a somewhat weak concentration nitric acid on my warts. Day two, I did it again. And a thrid time. Worst sympton was mild burning, but barely noticable. The skin turned a dark yellow. The skin loosened up enough to peel / cut away. Its been a few weeks now, and so far, smooth skin. I have yet to see if it all comes back, but so far this is the only thing that has lasted longer than a week. I'm going to ask my dermitologist about what I did. He had told me that there was absolutely nothing that could be done to a case as bad as mine. But we'll see. I'm full of hope now because this worked so well. I really hope this could lead to perhaps a doctor's application of nitric acid (since its hard to come by) as a treatment in the future. I think this is big. Yes, they could still come back, as its only been about a month, but still, this is 3 weeks + longer than anything else.

I was sharing a shower with others in a house I used to live in. One of the occupants came to me one day and asked me if I knew of how to get rid of a plantar wart. I didn't even know what one was though it was apparent it grew on the bottom of the foot. Months later, I noticed what I thought was a splinter in my right foot and due to exhaustion, I kept putting off tending to it as I didn't feel it sometimes. Finally, I got someone to look at it and they said that it looked like a wart. Then came the research about it. I was glad I didn't pick at it before and was determined to get rid of this wart on the bottom of my foot even though it was very small. I wasn't happy about it because it meant I too now had to be careful not to go barefeet anywhere as I may give it to someone. I went overseas very shortly after and due to (long story) I couldn't see any medical expert about it because they couldn't speak English anyway. I tried for months, in between tears and anger, the following to get rid of them: apple cider vinegar, brown vinegar, white vinegar, toothpaste, banana peel, duct tape (useless because it didn't stay on) salt, iodine, nail polish, nail polish remover, white out and probably a few other things. None of it worked. I was furious and by this time, one plantar wart became two and then it spread causing me to have a plantar wart on the bottom of my left foot, then I think I got another wart on my right foot. Great. What now? I began to quite hate the person who ignorantly used to walk around barefoot everywhere in the house not bothering to tell me that he had something contagious on the bottom of his foot. I felt a bit like a leper. Finally I returned to my own country and tried to see a specialist who wasn't in and so I saw the doctor who prescribed a very expensive cream for me that could have been dangerous. I threw the script away and soon after, came across someone's site where they were explaining in general the following, which made sense to me so I tried my own slightly different version of their instructions. First I must say that months before, I noted almost by accident that when my feet were enclosed for long periods of time, my skin almost looked like it was suffocating (under my feet) and the plantar warts really rose up and looked quite scary to me. I wasn't sure what to do so I'd let my feet 'air' as much as I could. (Wrong.) Ok - here's the method, and it WILL work because it makes sense AND it worked for me. Close to a miracle. Duct tape doesn't work because it's NOT STRONG ENOUGH and continues to let air in to allow that stinking plantar wart to breathe! You've really got to suffocate it. Go to the Chemist or Pharmacy or Drug Store and buy some ATHLETIC TAPE. It's very STRONG bandaid that's on a roll. The one I bought was also called Sportsplast and they sell it on BodyAssist.com I think the name is. The tape I bought was wide and a brown type colour. You cut about four or five inches across (maybe 15cm across) and basically on your clean foot, you simply put that 'tough as nails and concrete' bandaid onto the bottom of your foot - making sure to COVER entirely the plantar wart/s. This particular bandaid has NO GAUZE on it. You DON'T NEED gauze on it. It's very tough. You can even take a shower with it on and it won't come off. I left my first bandaid on for about 7-10 days. I really felt like it was making a difference. Then I slowly ripped it off. Didn't hurt, just felt a bit weird. I saw a DIFFERENCE! It looked like it was receding - going away/healing. Ok, what the bandaid does is, not only is it SUFFOCATING the plantar warts, apparently it is causing them to have NOWHERE to go. Remember, when they suffocated on my foot before, they rose to the top of the skin and looked even worse. This is the plantar wart PANICING!! Now, when the bandaid has enclosed around and over the plantar wart, the plantar wart tries to get air and when it can't get it, it PANICS causing - wait for it - your IMMUNE SYSTEM to notice something funny going on down there. It goes to check it out and finds the foreign entity namely, the plantar warts. What does it do then? The immune system begins to kill the plantar wart because it knows it's a foreign body. Bit by bit, the plantar wart weakens and gets killed off. You start to feel happier. Yes. It's possible, but you must find the bandaid preferably without gauze and as tough as CONCRETE man!! It's got to stick to your foot through hail and storm. I put another fresh lot of tough bandaids on the bottom of my feet again for a further 10 days or something and the plantar warts continued to get even smaller but of course, I had to make sure they were totally gone. Every now and then I felt a sting - probably the virus still trying to set up house down there. I think it was the third or fourth time after taking the bandaid off, I couldn't believe it - when I took the bandaid off, the actual plantar warts came off with the bandaid!! It was like looking at the dead enemy. To make triply sure, I put more bandaid on there. This is totally the cure. Sometimes I put two layers of bandaid on the bottom of my foot, just to make sure. I don't have any stings at this point and my feet are bandaid free but I haven't walked on any floor barefoot yet due to paranoia and always wear jandals in the shower these days. My feet look all clear but after that experience, I don't know when I will walk barefeet on any hard surface anymore as who knows if a teeny-tiny bit of whatever might infect someone else. I'm possibly being paranoid though, but my feet look normal again. You've got to try it - make sure it's REALLY TOUGH STURDY TOUGH AS CONCRETE BANDAID.
This is what was on the website: SPORTSPLAST PREMIUM STRAPPING TAPE.
•Flesh colour.
•Serrated edges.
•13.7 Mtrs (45' 8') length per roll
•For all high stress joint sports strapping needs.
*I don't recommend putting it on the top of your foot as the skin is more sensitive there and will hurt if you try and take it off. Good luck, although you probably won't need it!

Ok as I have tired many of the home remedies and I am going to let you know that I have had 3 surgeries on them and also went to the Dr. and had them freeze them and everything. So my aunt told me to try cleaning the area really well and then cutting an acorn in half and putting the juice for the acorn directly on the wart and then covering it with duct tape changing and cleaning it twice a day for about 3-4 days and you will instantly see results of the planter wart going away. Just be careful because the acorn will stain anything (including your foot) but the stain will go away within a few days of not applying it anymore. Just try it for a few days and see the results. I would love to know if you get any relief from this method!

well after reading the acv treament for plantar warts i decided to give it a try.
First off let me say i've had this thing for about 8 years now. i thought it was just a stubborn callus that kept growing back. i would cut the callus off about once a month when it became painfull to walk on, then it would start to develp again. after some research i was convinced it was a plantar wart.
After starting with Dr. Scholls stuff and no results i tryed the acv. First i trimmed it back as far as i could with a blade without getting the other skin. Then i applied some essential lavender oil and covered it with a bandaid. I left that all day, then that night about 11:30 i washed my foot and applied the cotton with the apple cider vinegar and wrapped it in duct tape. WOW i woke up at 2:30 in the morning in the Worst pain! I had to take off the tape, but still had terrible pain all night. My foot was white around the site of the wart and it appeared tunnell like so i figured it was working.
Day 2
I decided that i would apply the acv again at 11:00 A.M. Pain once again immediatly, could hardly walk but still kept it on for about 2 hrs. After removal i washed my foot and applied the lavender oil, this seemed to soothe it a bit, and i had read that lavender kills the wart. That night i applied the acv again and this was the worst pain yet. I practically cryed and after having 3 kids naturally that is saying alot! Kept in on for 2 hrs then removed and washed foot and re applied lavender. Upon further inspection of my foot i noticed some reddish black dots had formed around the center of the wart. Wow i thought this better be working.
Day 3
More red black dots around wart. Applied the lavender oil and bandaid all day then at night the acv again, this time very little pain.Almost nothing compared to the night before.
Day 4
Lavender oil again and then came home and applied the acv, this time NO pain...Wow. Wart is almost all black.A little tender if i push on it, but i will continue the oil and acv till gone. I'm almost sure this thing is dying or dead since i feel no more pain.
for those of you that are having pain stick with it for at least 3 days before you ditch the acv, it really works! I might add my wart was not big at all maybe the size of a dime. Who thought something so small could be so painfull. I am so thrilled with the progress and glad i wrked thru the pain...be ready tho it is sick pain but well worth it. Just be patient. Good Luck

I have had a plantars wart on the ball of my right foot for some time now. I didn't mess with it at first, but after nearly a year, I was tired of waiting and wanted it to be gone. For awhile, I just picked at it with nail tools (tweezers, nail clippers, nail files, ect.) to no avail. I never got the whole thing out because I would always wimp out when it became too painful. Recently, I heard about the ACV (apple cider vinegar) and since I had heard so many success stories, I decided I would try it for myself. I got a small bottle of ACV, bandaids, and cotton balls. I cut a cotton ball into small pieces, just enough to cover the wart. I soaked it in the ACV and put it right on top of the wart. After that, I took and bandaid and secured it tightly to my foot. I just started doing this today and already, I can see the white puffy part around the edges of the wart that people talk about, and it also looked smaller as well. As of right now I have the treatment on my foot, and its definitely not comfortable. I can say it is somewhat painful, but I'm sure the pain varies from person to person. It may hurt me, but someone else may feel no pain at all. Its been pulsatin rapidly, and within the last 4-5 minutes, its become a steady burning/painful sensation. I'm afriad I'll lose sleep over it, but I'm willing. I'm ready to get rid of this, and not have to worry about it ever again! I'll post an update when I know whether this really works or not. Stay tuned!

I have/ had a Plantar Wart on bottom of my left foot for around 2years :P It was the size of a pea. I tried salicic acid, banna peel, duct tape with little to no results.
What has made a difference for me was this:
I purchased one of those 'freeze off' type products that you buy at a supermarket that uses liquid nitrogen type chemical on a cotton bud. On its own it doesnt work, but this time my plan was to freeze it after I sliced the top of the plantar wart (in theory it should be more effective if there is less skin in the way). So I sliced the top of the plantar with a razor blade, it began to bleed (what I wanted), then immediately (while it was bleeding),I applied the liquid nitrogen cotton bud . The liquid nitrogen (freezing wart product) says to leave it on the wart for about 30 secs. I left it on for around 1-2mins to be sure i killed as much as i could without burning a hole in my foot. Afterall, I didnt mind a sore blister (which you will get for a cpl days), it was the wart that i just wanted gone. Anyway, 3 weeks later and the little pebble (wart) i used to feel is gone. It feels great to reclaim that part of my foot. Good Luck, and remember , any injury or illness you do while trying my method is your responsibility.

I am a nurse and was not looking forward to bringing my 6 year old daughter in for freezing of her plantar wart. Looked on this site and did the following: Put vaseline on the surrounding tissue with a q-tip, pulled the cotton tip off another q-tip and saturated it in apple cider vinegar, placed on plantar wart each night and covered with bandaid and sock. Took off each morning. Took about 1 month for it to turn black, and has now almost completely fallen off with nice pink tissue underneath. The best part was it was COMPLETELY PAINLESS!!

Natural REMEDY - completely painless - works like a miracle every single time!!!!!
I had a big plantar wart in my heel about two years ago. After about a year of fighting with it, I had it surgically removed. I was ok for like 4 months, then I noticed another one forming right next to the scar of the previous one. Time passed, it got big and extremelyyyyyyyyy painfullll. I took a vow that I will never go with the surgery again, so I tried banana peel, garlic, apple cider vinegar, duct tape, pineapple, thuja ointment + the thuja pills (From BOIRON - homeopathic treatment for warts). NOTHINGGGGG worked, and not only that those remedies didn't work but i started having more and more. Two weeks ago I ad a total of 7 plantar warts - a big one and 6 little ones around it. I literally could not put my foot on the ground. Anyways - while talking to my grandfather in Bulgaria who is 86 years old - he said the best treatment for plantar warts is PROPOLIS (as in bee propolis) - he said he had a big one in his heel when he was young -and he applied the actual propolis...the raw version directly on the wart and just kept it there. Of course, you cannot find raw propolis here in US at least I didn't find any. So I bought the TINCTURE. IT IS 16 DOLLARS A BOTTLE and is called Y.S. Organic Bee Farms - 70% Ultra Strength Propolis - Full Potency Bioflavonoids.
SOOOO: I applied every morning and every night a goodddd layer of propolis..by the way..and then I put a gauze pad on top, fix my leg with the ACE elastic bandage to keep the pad in place and then went to sleep or whatever. The next day, the propolis becomes hard..and it forms kinda like a crust..so when you remove it..it almost feels like you are removing a very thin layer of your skin..but you are not, don't worry. It just feels like it really really cleans your skin.
I have two weeks since I have been doing that...I have absolutely NO PAIN IN ANY OF MY WARTS ANYMORE. THEY ARE NOT SWALLEN, TENDER ANYMORE....THE LITTLE ONES ARE ALMOST GONE, YOU CAN BARELY SEE THEM, THE BIG ONE IS STILL THERE BUT THERE IS NO MORE PAIN...AND IT HAS SHRUNK IN A WAY THAT I CANNOT BELIEVE MY EYES. SO I AM GOING TO KEEP APPLYING THE PROPOLIS UNTIL EVERYTHING IS GONE. tHERE IS NO PAIN, NO SMELL, NOTHING, JUST PLAIN MIRACLE. for the ones that are not familiar with propolis this is what the bees use to protect the hives from bacteria, viruses and fungi. It works for them, it definitely works for me. TRY IT, you are not going to regret the 16 dollars plus you don't have to deal with the smell of the ACV. If you have any questions, go ahead and ask me..i am available to guide you through this. I promised myself before I sttarted this that IF THIS REMEDY WORKS, i AM GOING TO POST IT EVERYWHERE, SO THAT PEOPLE LIKE ME AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE PAIN AND THE STRUGGLE OR TREATING PLANTAR WARTS ANYMORE.

Gorilla Glue!
After trying the Dr. Scholl's Plantar Wart Removal System for a few months and getting frustrated with no results I found this site. I tried the apple cider vinegar for a couple of days. On Day 1 I soaked my toe in the ACV for an hour and that night I duct taped a cotton ball soaked with ACV to the bottom of my toe. It was mildly painful but nothing I couldn’t handle. The next day (Day 2) I removed some of the dead skin and that night I tried putting another cotton ball soaked with ACV on the bottom of my toe. That was three of the most uncomfortable hours of my life. I literally could not fall asleep and had to get up around 2 AM to remove the cotton ball. The next afternoon (Day 3) I tried taping a cotton ball soaked with ACV on the bottom of my foot but had to take it off 20 minutes later. I was willing to put up with extreme pain to get rid of the wart but those two rounds with the ACV were like torture!
A few hours later (still Day 3) I spread Gorilla Glue over the wart and covered the GG with duct tape and then wrapped both with waterproof medical tape. On Days 4 and 5 after my morning shower I removed both sets of tape and re-applied a layer of GG, duct tape, and medical tape. On Day 6 I was able to pull out the wart with tweezers relatively pain free. I have kept applying the GG, duct tape, and medical tape just to be safe – I don’t want that thing coming back! – and I’m now on day 10 with no pain or signs of recurrence so far and the hole where the wart was is healing over.
Thanks to all on this forum!

I have had a planters wart on my heel for about 5 years, maybe even more. It has never hurt or really bothered me, so i never did anything about it until recently. It seems that it has gotten bigger and painful and it has produced a lil baby next to it. So i have tried the following things. On the tiny new one i put clear fingernail polish on it 1 - 2 times a day and after about 3 days it just peeled off without any pain. I can't tell if it will come back or not but will keep an eye on it. The large wart that i have is a bit more stubborn, i have been using the ACV treatment at night only for the past two nights and it turned white all around the wart which i clipped off with nail trimmer and the wart itself is turning black. If it continues like this and falls off or easily comes off, i will follow treatment with neosporin and a bandaid to seal it and further heal it. Hopefully it goes away with out a trip to the doctor.

I had a very stubborn and painful plantar wart for 5 years which did not respond to any home treatments or over the counter treatments (acid/freeze away). With no results on my own, I decided to enlist the help of a podiatrist. The course of treatment was two fold- he zapped the wart with the pulse dye laser during one session and then 2 - 3 weeks later I came back and had the wart 'painted' with beetle venom (canthrone - from the blister beetle). In total I had 3 venom sessions and about 5 laser sessions. There was no one treatment that worked for me, however by combining the two treatments, I finally found relief. My foot wart free for over 3 years now and the skin at the wart site looks almost seamless.

i've been trying the acv method for 4 days-ish. though the pain subsided on the 3rd night, the white ring around my wart is very hard and only a small center is blackish brown. its on the sole of my foot, just under my toes so it hurts alot when i walk.. the crater isn't painful, just the skin around it. it's so dry and hard that pressure on it is very painful. i'm wondering whether i should grit my teeth and just clip the white part away.. or just continue with it for a week plus before doing anything.
but i can vouch that the acv is doing something! better than any otc counter/med i've tried and i've had this thing for 10 yrs

I had several plantar warts on both feet and tried EVERYTHING to get rid of them including surgery, injections, freezing, duct tape, etc. Nothing worked. Finally I went to a new podiatrist. This Dr. recommended taking BioResponse supplements(DIM 150). My Dr. explained that it's just like taking a high dose of broccoli and you can purchase over the counter. She told me that it has treated all of her patients with plantar warts and gave me some paperwork on various studies. And it CURED me, naturally and painlessly. After 2 months of taking it, the several warts on both of my feet turned black and my skin started to peel them off. I took 6 supplements(of the DIM150) a day(2 pills in the morning, 2 in the afternoon and 2 in the evening before food). However, I wouldn't recommend this while on the birthcontrol pill because the treatment is less likely to work. I know you can buy this over the counter at Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy or online just type in Bioresponse I got rid of my plantar warts this way 2 years ago and they have yet to come back! So that's why I'm posting this -- to help others who can't get rid of them and to prevent people from going through painful treatments that don't work.

After reading EVERYTHING all over the internet, I decided to try plain ole vinegar. This was for my 14 yr old son. I was worried that the Apple Cider Vinegar would cause him too much pain.
After reading one of the stories on here from a father and son who simply soaked their foot in vinegar and did nothing else, we tried it.
First we put duct tape on for a day or two, it got really moist and almost like little fingers or tendrils coming up out of it. I used tweezers to pull these out and then my son soaked his foot in a full bowl of white vinegar for over 30 minutes. We left it overnight, the next day when it had dried out a bit we put nail polish over it, we kept adding fresh nail polish every morning after his shower becuase it would wear off.
After about a week of this, we used tweezers again to pull away any loose, wet tendrils and kind of digged at it a bit mostly to make sure when we soaked it again, the vinegar would go down inside. We soaked it again at this time with white vinegar, let it sit overnight and again did the nail polish thing. At this point it started to dry up a bit and one day after his shower, my son was picking at it and he pulled a piece of skin and of with it came the center, like a round hard ball. It left a huge hole so we again used the tweezers to pull any loose bits of skin and then filled the hole with polysporin, but a bandaid on for a day or two, took it off and now it's just a little scab, the hole is 80% healed and the hard round ridge is gone and the scab is flat and level with the rest of the food. Best of all when you put a thumb and forefinger on either side of the scab and squeeze a bit (almost like popping a pimple) there is NO pain. Doing this when the wart was there was very very painful.
So I think the softening of the wart with the duct tape and removing all visible wet tissue and then soaking with vinegar and then putting nail polish over for a week was the key. We basically did this twice, duct tape for a day, tweeze, soak in vinegar, cover in polish, recover in polish each day for a week and then repeat.
Simple, cheap, easy and NO pain for my son. We tried everything else and this worked.

Duct tape began to work for me, but only after I began using salicyclic acid on the area before taping. That left the skin all over my sole peeling so I went to the doctor and he cut out two of them (ouch). That put me off work for a week , but the other nine were still there. (Oh yeah, don't procrastinate when it comes to plantar warts, they spread rapidly)
Then I found 'DuoForte 27 Gel' at the drugstore ($18). Put it directly on top of the wart after you get out of the shower/tub. When it dries, it forms a hard 'skin' over the wart so it doesn't rub off like creams often will. The next day you soak your foot/feet and file down what you can of the head of the wart (remove the hard skin surrounding them as well, my sister is a nurse and she told me to keep picking at them). This stuff worked like magic for me. It was only a matter of days...yes, days when the warts began to die. You'll know the end is near when they form a dark red to black dot. Then it's just a matter of time before it falls off with a little circle of skin surrounding it. The doctor tried freezing the others I had but it didn't do anything for me. I had previously used 2 cans of the drugstore freeze remedy ($20 each)...not a thing.
The big thing I found with my warts is, don't be afraid to file them or clip the skin down as far as you can. Just short of making them bleed was good for me.

My 100% natural home remedy is a little different but I've found it to be 100% effective for me, . . . and painless. As usual, I’ve tried all the normal OTC remedies (Compound W, Duoplant, and other salicylic acid treatments) along with nonconventional treatments like phenol/nitric acid and the conventional route of having a Podiatrist freeze my Plantar’s warts with nitrogen all to no avail. After multiple times of burning painful throbbing holes in the bottoms of my feet, the warts always came back within a month.
I had three warts on my left foot, one on the ball the size of a quarter, and two smaller ones. One was the size of a dime opposite the large one on the outer edge, and one on the heel the size of a pea. The right foot had four smaller warts scattered about the ball and heel. Untreated, none of these were particularly painful, just annoying and most survived conventional therapies for more than eight years before I decided to get serious.
Being an engineer, I wondered, “Why do we get Plantar’s warts on the bottoms of our feet and not on our hands?” The skin type is similar, if not identical. (striated) Could there be environmental factors that cause and then support the growth and propagation
of Plantar’s Warts? Well, I’m one to know more.
One SoCal afternoon I was walking along the beach watching sunbathers and it hit me,
. . . the sun rarely shines on the bottoms of our feet. Our bare feet normally exist in inky shadows or they’re covered with socks, shoes, and/or blankets, which promote a dark, humid environment. “What if I regularly created a major opposite for a few brief moments?” Maybe I can annoy the HPV as much as it annoys me. I had my theory.
So, everyday for the next 7 days at about 1-2:00pm when the sun is high and the sky is clear, I went outside barefoot with a 5” diameter magnifying glass and focused the rays of the sun on my largest wart. I did not burn my skin, I only focused the light from the glass so that it made a bright circular spot about the size of a quarter directly over the wart holding the bright light there until I could feel my skin beginning to heat up. Then I removed the light and let my skin cool. Be careful. Do not burn your skin. I did that five times over a five minute period and then continued my normal day without pain. After a week I noticed a major positive change in my nemesis. The wart was turning black and dying. At that time I started the same treatment on all my other Plantar’s Warts and continued it daily for three more weeks with similar results then discontinued the treatment.
Within the next month ALL the warts were gone and the normal healthy skin striations reappeared without any scaring. No trace, and none of the warts came back.
Now ten years later after moving and joining a new health club (like an idiot walking around barefoot in the indoor pool area, locker room/showers) I’ve recently noticed several small Plantar’s warts (in different locations) again starting to grow. Rather than fool around with conventional OTC and professional treatments, I’m immediately going to my daily focused sunlight plan along with the nightly ACV treatments discussed here. I’ll post my progress in a month.

About 3 months ago I suddenly noticed a total of six small, pebble-like bumps on the bottom of my feet. Instantly I suspected plantar warts, because my entire family had had them years ago and we spent a whole lot of time and money going in and out of the doctor's office to freeze them. It was maddening and terribly expensive for myself, my husband, and four children.
I was determined not to go through that again, so I turned to the Internet and found this site. I already had cotton pads, apple cider vinegar, and duct tape around the house, so I decided to give it a try. I now have only the slightest bit of wart left on one foot, and that's because I am lazy and tired at night; therefore I have only treated my feet twice a week, and several weeks I didn't treat them at all.
I cut some duct tape strips and set them aside (do this first because it's hard to balance a sopping cotton pad on your foot while you're dealing with the sticky duct tape). Then I cut a cosmetic cotton pad into quarters and soaked one quarter per night with vinegar, then taped the very wet pad over the warts. Went to bed.
In the morning the warts were very black. They were very easy to see because the wetness of the pad made the skin around the wart white--sort of like when you soak in the tub too long. The blackness of the wart, caused by the vinegar--likely the acidity--is the key to the success of this method: when the wart turns black you can tell where the wart ends and the healthy skin begins, which makes it so much easier to remove.
Anyway, I sterilized the wart area and a new razor blade with rubbing alcohol then sliced off an ultrathin area of wart. I never made it bleed and never sliced so much that it hurt. It was completely painless.
I kept this up, not as regularly as I should have like I said, but amazingly, five warts disappeared and if I get with it and finish the treatment on the sixth one I'm confident it will soon be gone too.
I will never see another doctor for a plantar's wart. This method is cheap and easy, painless, and it works.

Its Christen again, and I have some great news. After approximately three days of using ACV on my plantar wart, I have been able to remove it. I kept the treatment on as much as I could, but I don't remember keeping it on all night. I would almost constantly change it, and I almost always kept it covered with some type of tape. I would pull any dead skin off that I could and I filed it down several times using a regular nail file. Finally, today, I was messing with it using a pair of tweezers. I would get under it and push it opposite of where it was growing. It starting detatching from my foot, and after messing with it for about a minute, it came out all in one piece. It was painless! I highly recommend using apple cider vinegar to anyone who has a plantar wart that they want to get rid of. Although I did go through some pain and discomfort, I would definitely say it was all worth it in the end. Of course it may not work with all people, but I've seen very few stories where it did not. I'm still treating the hole in my foot with the ACV treatment to make sure that the virus is completely dead, and to ensure that I don't get anymore annoying, painful, and embarassing warts.

Don't bother with the very painful ACV or surgery, or burning, freezing or otherwise tormenting yourself. Smother the warts with liquid bandage like Skin Shield, New Skin, etc. Buy it in the first aid aisle of your drugstore and start painting it on. It seals the wart and suffocates it without any pain at all. Super easy and effective.

I have had this wart on my left foot for as long as i can remember. I recently just got out of the shower and noticed it was a grayish black color and soft so i began to clip at it with nail clippers. After i didnt see any of the grayish black i put a clear coat of nail polish over top of it. Not to sure if this will work but heres hoping cause I really don't want to try the ACV treatment cause i already have enough pain in my freaking double jointed joints ( only 16 and tend to over extend all my joints without realizing what im doing, so anymore pain will prob drive me up the wall) Ill write back if this works or not.

So first off id like to just thank everyone for your tips I hope to soon have the same type of story. I have two of these monsters on my right foot one on my heel and one in the middle of my arch I have been workin at them for a long time its been so long I can't remember how long I've been tryin to get rid of these things I have tried just about everything acv, freezin, duct tape, gg, nail polish, digging and cutting at it compond w taking lysine and a multi vitm tryin to boost my ammune system to maybe help fight this war I'm in with these things cause make no mistake that's what it is and it seems the longer you've had them the deeper and harder it is to get rid of them I've had these plantar warts for maybe 5-6 years so its had lots of time to grow and get worse and I wish I would have takin it more serious before it got to this point where I'm running out of ideas of how or what to do I started by tryin compond w and tryin cut it out and keep it covered with either duct tape or some kinda water proof tape and even during the treatment of compond w it would grow back and it seemed to be stronger than before so I started using acv and holy cow that stuff hurts I do think it helps and works but don't keep it on or soak it more than maybe an hr at a time maybe less cause its very painful and once it starts to burn there's nothin you can do to make it go away just have to wait it out and take a couple asprin to try and get through that tourcher but after a few days of doin that it started turning black and I was excited thought finally some kinda change maybe its workin kept at it for a few more weeks twice a day I tried to soak it as long as I could before it would start being so so painful I take some tweezers and take all the black out as much as I could until I couldn't see anymore soak it again and more black would keep popin up like I didn't even do anything so I read one of these articals and it talked about mixin vitm c with the compond w and another one where they used acv until the black little seeds popped up and then soaked it in rubbin alco and hydr proxide and it would dry up and kill the wart so I made up my own little mixture I'm not recommendin this but I put some acv, rubbin alc, hydr proxide, some liquid compond w some epson salt crushed a multi vit and lysine mixed it real good to make a crazy little paste of wart killer and honestly when id use just one thing like the acv or compond w it would burn like crazy but this didn't burn at all and seems to be workin better than anything I've tried and I have tried it all I take my little cocktail of stuff soak a cotton ball tape it over my wart with some duct tape and twice a day once in the mornin and one at night and in between ill put gorila glue to keep it air tight and some what protected and it seems like when I take the gg off it pulls out some of the black little seeds I still try to dig some of it out but I trully don't know how deep I should go or if I should even dig at it at all and just try to let it be cause now it looks like a round little ball with the black around it but it doesn't look like good healthy skin it kinda weird looks like I should pull it out but its way painful so I don't know what to do. I'm sorry this is kinda long but I feel the more everyone share's about there own story the better chance you can find a remedy that will work for you cause I don't think its just one thing that works and different things work for different people but hopefully together we can beat these little monsters cause they are tough and it takes a lot of time and pain and if anyone can give me any other ideas I'm open to suggestions cause I'm sure tired of workin on them and id love to have a remedy to tell you how I got rid of them but I'm still workin on it good luck to everyone that has these stupid things I wouldn't wish these on my worst enemy

Once or twice daily, apply Wart Remover Liquid with Salicylic Acid (17% w/w.) Hours later, pick at wort with tweezers to remove dead skin. After this step, apply generous amounts of 'Frankinsense' to the wort(s.) This is a natural concoction you may buy at Amazon.com which helps to eradicate the wort(s) pain-free. The salicylic acid, however, is NOT pain-free but is effective when used with 'Frankinsense.' Follow these steps until the wort(s) disappears, and then continue to apply 'Frankinsense' for at least 2 weeks.
I had tried just the salicylic acid, but it had not been working so I looked up homeopathic remedies for the plantar wart and discovered that 'Frankinsense' may be helpful. I started applying it daily along with salicylic acid and together they rid my foot of at least 10 worts in a matter of weeks. There was only some pain when I only used the salicylic acid, but the 'Frankinsense' was completely pain-free. The pain was not unbearable, anyway. Follow these steps and you will have very happy, wort-free feet. While doing several sports and often having sweaty feet, this remedy still worked.
For best results try to have air reach the infected area as much as possible; e.g. wear sandals instead of shoes, socks, or slippers when possible.
Worts spread through moist areas, so when showering, try to avoid contact between the floor and the wort(s.) This will stop others from gaining their own worts, and it will help prevent the spread on your own feet.

I first noticed a small wart on the under-inside of my left big toe about 2.5 years ago. It was small and I was a dancer, so I was accustomed to imperfections on my feet and never really thought too much of it. However, about a year later it began to grow until it was about the size of a penny and no longer easy to hide. Then, after going for a run one day I got a blood-blister further down on the inside arch of my foot which as it 'healed' actually became a wart larger than a quarter. Even worse, a few smaller warts were beginning to crop up around these two larger ones.
I was so embarrassed. I tried over the counter acid gel treatment that didn't seem to do anything. I then moved on to consulting a doctor. We tried freezing, but that didn't work either. So the doctor tried applying some extra strength prescription gel, but that didn't help either. I was spending big bucks going to the doctor every other week to receive very ineffectual and painful treatment that would leave me unable to walk for a day or two from the pain.
So I decided to try a new approach:
-Warm soapy water
-Vitamin-C pills
-Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)
-Compound-W (Or target, etc) gel
-Pre-wrap
-Band-aids
-A small bowl
I started by soaking my foot in warm soapy water and then in the Apple Cider Vinegar and dried my foot. I crushed the Vitamin-C pills into as fine of a powder as I could. I then mixed the crushed pills with a little bit of the gel and a little ACV to make a sort of 'paste.' I generously covered my two largest warts with this paste and covered them with air tight (waterproof) band-aids, wrapped then in pre-wrap, and left them for two days letting no oxygen get in.
After a full 48 hours, I removed the bandages and saw that the warts had become soft & black. As I picked at the bigger one, the whole thing just lifted off, leaving a large whole underneath. At this point, I became scared (What was I expecting to be there when I took out the wart?), frustrated, and embarrassed and consequently burst into tears. So I (loosely) covered up the hole and the remaining wart with band-aids and tried to take a break from worrying about it for a few days. About 2 days later, I removed the band-aid again and this time found that new, pink skin was beginning to grow around the hole. By about a week later, the hole was almost completely healed. There is still a bit of a light pink scar there, but I am fine with living with that as opposed to the alternative. As for the smaller (but still the size of a penny) wart on my toe, it dried up and as it did, I was able to easily pick the scab/wart off. That healed quickly as well and now looks good as new. This treatment was just barely painful and nothing compared to the other treatments I had tried.
The best part is that after that, the smaller warts around this area started to clear up on their own! This was all about 6 months ago and I have had no troubles with my feet since. I have even used this remedy on a wart that later developed on my finger (That one took 2 rounds of this treatment)and would quickly recommend it to ANYONE! Unfortunately, I healed my warts just as it was time to put away the flip-flops for the summer, but I am now anxiously awaiting this next summer free of the shame and attempts to hide my feet (Strategically placed sandal straps and cute tennis shoes were always on my conscious). I hope that this was able to help and good luck to everyone!

I came onto this site looking for a way to heal the skin left after I pulled off my warts. Unlike most of the people here, I did not use apple cider vinegar. I actually went to the doctor to get freeze treatments, only because it doesn't cost me anything to go to the university health clinic. That was very painful. It was painful while the doctor was freezing them and for weeks after. I actually lost muscle in my left leg because I had been limping for about two months. I got about five treatments, then I came home for the summer. For about the last month I have been pain free, and I think it's because my body started to fight the virus. Today I took a shower and noticed that the skin around my warts (2 pea sized warts, about 1 cm apart) was dead and coming off, so I peeled that away. Then I happened to hook my nail under one of the warts and just started pulling. It didn't bleed and it came off with only minimal pain, that I would equate to sucking on a lemon. There was nice pink tissue under it. The other one was a bit more difficult and I had to get a knife under it. However, I didn't dig around, i just pulled off the dead tissue. I'm worried about that one because the tissue underneath doesn't look completely healthy. I put aloe vera gel on it because someone on this site said that it has virus fighting properties, plus it seems like something that will help heal the little holes in my foot. I guess one thing I could recommend is trying to find something that will help your body fight off a virus. I really wish I had tried the apple cider vinegar though because I went through a lot of pain and I stopped running altogether. So the moral of my story is that the freezing works for some people, but it takes a long time and is by NO MEANS pain free.

Plantar Wart went completely away in 4 weeks. A year ago I thought I had stepped on a puncture vine or a small piece of glass. Right under my second toe on the ball of my left foot. It hurt a little then each month went by it hurt more until this summer I had to limp and not use my foot. It hurt like hell, like I was stepping on a knife each time I put weight on my foot. I tried Dr. Scholls wart freezing medicine, compund 40 etc. nothing worked.I even went to a clinic doctor and he told me he thought it was a wart. Being a retired operating room nurse I never want to see a Doctor again unless I need to be put back together again or need some emergency drugs, however he did open my eyes as to what it was. I am anti western medicine after what I saw in my career. I knew I could find something natural and found this website, thank the dear Universe-Lord!! Use the organic apple cider vinegar from the health food store. Soak your foot in the vinegar every night for 30 minutes to one hour. Then soak a cotton ball in the vinegar and put it next to the wart(s) with a bandaide, then put duct tape over both and seal it. Wear the duct tape til soaking the nex night. Do the same thing every night. Then when the wart turns black peel that off and start again with the fresh skin underneath, untill it is all gone. After you start it takes about four days before the wart stops hurting like hell. The vinegar may make it hurt worse sometimes and throb because it's killing the little creepy thing. Take some aleve or tylenol pm during that time of sleeping so you can get some sleep. Your wart will absolutely go way. It can not live in an alkaline environment with the ACV. Do this and it WILL WORK. I know how much it hurts and you want to cry and cut your foot off. Do it now and don't wait or spend tons of money seeing Doctors. I am so grateful and feel for you if you are hurting now. Don't wait. Run to the store and get your supplies and start right away, today and then tell everyone you know how your foot healed so you can give others hope and not give all their money to the Doctors who don't fix it anyway. You will be very happy. I love being pain free after a year of misery. Thank you for putting this website together so we can all share. This is not BS or hocus pocus. What a blessing.

I've had a pretty small plantar wart on the ball of my foot, right below my big toe, for somewhere between 2 and 4 years now. About 6 months ago, I started the Apple Cider Vinegar home remedy treatment and within about 2 weeks saw amazing results. My wart was gone! Sadly though, since I didn't continue treatment even after the wart was gona to completely kill the virus, it came back. On the bright side, it wasn't nearly as big. It only came back as approximately 10 black specks in the same spot with the raised skin and all. As of tonight I'm starting the treatment again, and I'm hoping to kill the wart again, but this time keep it gone. To treat my wart, this is what I do:
1) I start off by cleaning all of the tools I use such as tweezers, nail clippers, cuticle cutters, and a nail file, by soaking a cotton ball with alcohol and rubbing all of them down very well. Then I wash my hands and my foot (or the area with the wart) to make sure everything is disinfected.
2) Then, I file the area down with a nail file until it is smooth and not raised anymore.
3) Next, I clip off any dead skin surrounding the wart and dig out anything I can.
4) After that, I soak a cotton ball in ACV if I'm wearing it at night (without any shoes) and tape it in place with medical tape. If its daytime, I soak the end of a q-tip in the ACV and hold it on place with a bandaid when I'll be wearing shoes. I always make sure to squeeze out the extra liquid so it doesn't stop the tape/bandaid from sticking and so it doesn't get all over my foot. I try to wear the treatment as much as possible. At night, I always wear a sock to make sure it doesn't come off.
I hope my remedy helped someone in some way. If ACV is going to work for you, you will see results approximately 30-45 minutes after applying the first treatment. Good luck to everyone out there :)

My daughter had several plantar warts on her little toe and we were reluctant to use burning or cutting to remove them because she is on a dance team and didn't want to miss practice. Most home remedies required taping or bandaging something to her toe. Again, that wasn't practical. So we tried putting clear (for cosmetic reasons) nail polish on the warts every night after her bath. Within 2 weeks the warts peeled off without pain, bleeding or any discomfort. It was very easy to do because the brush let you put it exactly where you wanted it and it dried quickly. I was amazed!

I have also been trying store bought wart treatments using salyic acid. Without seeing much progress after a month or so I came to this site. One week ago I started the acv treatment many mentioned and today I noticed the black spots. Yes, there's been some throbbing or occasional ping of sharp pain, but nothing like the consistent pain of walking on the wart prior to acv. I'm able to sleep and walk with the acv and bandaid applied with no increased pain. So happy I learned of acv before going to the Dr and possibly having it frozen.

For about 3 yrs. I had a planter wart right in the crease on my right fokts big toe. Every night it would itch and bother me to the point I couldnt sleep! So then I showed my mom she told to wash it really good and it will go away in about 3 days. So, I did what she said. 3 days later I looked atit and it was still there. So, my godfather (Jeff) bought me some Wart Glue Remover from Walmart, but it never worked! So then my mother once again bought me some,Compound W Super wart remover but it was a once again failed experiment. So i made my own i i used * naile file * tweezers * cotton ball * wart glue* hydrogen peroxide (3%) * band-aids * warm water * soap (non-scented) Okay after i got the supplies listed above i followed these following steps for 2 weeks: Step1- Clean the affected area with warm water and soap Step 2- pick some of the skin around the wart with twezzers Step 3- Use a 1 cotton bal with hydrogen peroxide on it and hold it on the wart/warts for 30 seconds Step 4- Using a different cotton ball put wart glue remover on the cotton ball Step 5- Hold onto the affected area Step 6- Wrap a band-aid around the cotton ball, making sure no air can get in or out *DO THIS PROCEDURE TWICE A DAY FOR TWO WEEKS STRAIGHT!* After i did this for two weeks i took the band-aid off and i saw that the wart was falling off so i peeled it off slowly and there it was GONE! and about 2 days after my skin was fully grown back!:) Thanks for ready sorry for it being too longb<3 <3 :) :)

I suffer from back problems & my Doctor told me to use the foot patches that remove toxins from your Body. I put thwm on one for two nights & noticed on the second night that my warts that I had for years were gone. I had atleast 10 of them one my foot for so long & they all went away. You can see small circles where each wart was though. But I no longer feel any pain or pinching & its been about 6mos & they didn't come back

I have had Plantar warts for 6 years! The only thing that has been helping them is to go to the doctor and have them all frozen and also treated with an anti-viral liquid that he puts on after freezing. As a warning, the anti-viral liquid is very potent and can't be used when pregnant or becoming pregnant.
I went to see the Doctor every 2 weeks. In between however, I used Dr. Scholls liquid salicylic acid every day and covered it with duct tape. I got a little razor from the doctor (surgical cutting blade) and cut it down every 3-4 days. My warts for the first time have actually died off by about 80% and the other 20% are still in progress!!!!! FINALLY!!!!
My Doctor has been stunned with the progress! But it has taken 2 1/2 months, so be patient! At least it worked.

I had a very painful Planter's Wart on my right foot for about a year. Then I had a corn develop on the left foot. Both were very painful but I just kept putting up with it. Then I had warts develop on both thumbs! One hot summer night we spent about an hour sitting
in our neighbors pool. He had just super-chlorinated as he was having some
problems with it. The next day all my warts and the corn started to dry up and within 2 weeks were gone! A little while after that my daughter noticed
3 Planter's Warts starting on her foot.
She soaked them only a couple of times
in a foot bath with only about a capfull of bleach. They all went away soon after that.

I've tried the over the counter stuff, duct tape, sanding, digging, filing and this was the only thing that has been working for me.

I had a terrible case of plantar warts and struggled for three years to get rid of them. I tried: freezing (both professional and over-the-counter), acid (both professional and over-the-counter), laser surgery (some success here), wart-no-more (some success), aloe, duct tape, clove oil (some success), apple cider vinegar (some success), mediplast pads (some success), tee-tree oil, Aldera cream, some shot by the doctor with a type of cancer treatment liquid in it (some success), bleach.
After three years and lots of money...
Here's what finally worked: put cotton on duct tape and pour some tee-tree oil on it. Place over the wart areas and soak all night. The next day place medi-plast pads on the warts. At night, remove pads and peel away the dead wart tissue. In just two weeks, I was able to kill the remaining warts on my hands and feet! The doctor was impressed.

I know it sounds crazy, but Right Guard spray deoderant, applied 1x or 2x daily, has cured more than a couple plantars warts on bottom of my feet. Completely removed any sign of the wart after just a couple weeks, but I continued to apply for about 4 weeks total. Prior dermatologist treatments by burning, acid, topical scraping did not work. The Right Guard remedy was suggested to me by a podiatrist. Has to be spray, though, not roll-on. Maybe it's something in the spray atomizer. I don't know, but its worked multiple times for me !

I tried everything to try and get rid of plantar warts. I started out with 2 right next to each other on my right foot. They gradually spread and I had about 9 of them in different areas on my foot. They were very painful and annoying. I tried apple cider vinegar, duct tape, all of the home remedies, nothing worked. Then, while on vacation to the seashore I noticed that after wading in the ocean that my foot hardly hurt at all and the warts had shrunk down. I thought about this for a few days and after getting home I deduced that it must be the salt in the sea water that was affecting the warts. After I took a shower and turned off the water I took some regular old iodized table salt and sprinkled a generous amount in the just damp tub. I then rubbed my foot all in the salt, grinding it as much as possible. After a few minutes of this I rinsed off the salt. After a day or two of doing this I noticed that the warts were shrinking and didn't hurt. I kept this up, just once a day with my morning shower and am happy to say that ALL of the warts are gone!!!! It took a few weeks for the pits where the warts were to heal over but they are completely gone now. I do the salt treatment a few times a week just to make sure they stay away. Simple, cheap and effective...common table salt!! Try it, I swear it works!!

I've had one plantar wart on my foot for two years, but didn't realize what it was for about a whole year later. So this wart was growing on my foot and getting deeper and deeper into it without me even knowing.
Since my discovery of my little warty nemesis, I have been using Dr. Scholl's and Compound W's plantar wart pads. I will say that if you choose to use these, they do work, kind of. Dr. Scholl's takes longer but are less likely to slip, which means that they don't kill innocent skin. Compound W is stronger but they are more likely to slip around.
Well anyway, after using these wart pads for about 8 or 9 months, I really was able to get further down to the root of this big wart. Sadly the wart began infecting other areas of my foot, so I've been treating them as well (against the directions of Dr. Sholls, but I'm a risk-taker). They come off pretty easily SO LONG AS YOU DON'T PROCRASTINATE!!! I did for one of them and a nice little cluster grew out of that. Treat them quickly, they are easy to get rid of when they're little.
Well anyway, back to the big wart, my arch nemesis!! After months and months of applying the pad, ripping off the pads, apply and rip, etc, I got down to something VERY painful. I had never had any previous discomfort with my wart, but it seemed that the deeper area was connected to something even deeper, and it hurt, A LOT. I tried picking at it but it started to bleed a little and I couldn't work up the courage to pull at it.
I put some more pads on it and let them do their work for a few days, and it was less painful for me to tug at the skin so I just took the tweezers and ripped it off. Yeah that hurt a lot, but I revealed underneath a crater of really red, really painful skin. I mean MAN IT HURT.
I looked online because I was worried if this was a serious situation when I came across the Apple Cider Vinegar fix. I was skeptical but I did go and buy a small bottle of ACV, and an ace bandage. My experience with duct tape is that it's ineffective when applied to skin and just leave you with a sticky gross stuff so the ace bandage would hold the cotton ball in place.
Let me warn you. ACV is not pain free for everyone. When I applied the soaked cottonball....PAIN. It was burning like heck but I kept it on. I woke up several times in the morning because of the pain but I soldiered on through the night. I took it off in the morning and the red spot had turned a dark brown, kind of like a scab color. Walking was pretty difficult, it hurt whenever I stepped on it. But I did this nightly for three more days, until it was pain free and just a hard brown spot.
So I waited. About a week later, after taking a shower, I decided to go at it again with the tweezers. I picked at the brown spot which was absolutely PAINLESS (amazing!) and pumiced the skin underneath. The wart is not completely gone yet...they say its gone when you can see the lines on your skin, but I still see a little circle in the shape that it was before, but this time there is no cauliflower appearance, no raised white skin around it, and NO PAIN. I plan on using the wart pads again to take the next few layers off.
ACV works. I would say you need to get a little ways down in the skin layers before it works, that is to say, don't just put it on top of a previously untreated wart. Just be persistent and don't give up, I wish everyone luck in fighting their warts!

My nine year old daughter developed a plantar wart right underneath her toes. Soon, she got about 5 more all in a row under her toes. I tried the duct tape with Compound W and it really didn't work. Tried the Gorilla Glue and there you have it! I used Gorilla Glue with white sports tape over it. I made her leave it on all day until shower time. She would take it off, take her shower, and I would reapply. One day, while taking off the tape, she ripped the huge one right in half. Now, she cried and it was painful, but within a week they were all gone! Unbelievable! It really, really works. The gorilla glue smothers it and it has no chance. GORILLA GLUE WORKS!!!!!!!

You might think this is totally crazy but it really does work.....
Take a Red Potato and grate it onto a dish, and soak you foot for 20 min a day for 7 days. It takes away the pain also. A friend told me to do this and within 3-4 days it started turning black and came right off on the 7th day.

I had a huge plantars wart. I have had it for over 6 years. I have tried everything to get rid of it. I have probably spent $1,000 on doctors visits and medicines, seriously. After finding this website, I tried apple cider, but it was very painful and gross. I couldn't keep it up for more than a week. I have tried duct tape many times, but I cannot keep the tape on my foot - I am very active and it just keeps coming off. So, I bought the Gorilla Glue, quick drying variety. It comes in a small bottle like super glue. I kept putting it on the wart for over a month. Every time it came off, I reapplied. My warts are gone, it is seriously a miracle. I keep waiting for the beast to come back, it has been over a month and nothing. Thank you for this website!

I have had the same plantar wart for about 6 months now. I thought it was pretty big but then I found out that my wart would be classified as a baby wart. (it's about the size of a pea) At first I thought it was a splinter but it would not go away, and then I found out it was a plantar wart. The first thing I did was put a small piece of banana peel on my wart each day and then stuck it down with 1 or 2 band aids. It wasn't really doing anything to my wart so I stopped. Then I bought some wart medicine especially for plantar warts called Duofilm. What I do is scrape away all of the dead skin with a pumice stone, then put some duofilm on it then wait 5-10 minutes and put a band aid on it. I do this every night and so far it is doing well. After about 3 weeks I started to pick at it every night and now it is doing even better. Hope it helped.

I had a plantar wart on my foot for over 30 years and tried everything (Doctor's attempted burning and freezing, as well as scyllic acid). Nothing worked. It felt like I was walking on a pebble some days, a nail on others.
Finally, I put a thin layer of Gorilla Glue over the wart. Gorilla Glue adheres to skin, is waterproof, and suffocates the wart. Within 3 days, this 30 year wart had shrunk considerably, to the point that I cannot see it anymore after I peeled off the glue scab. It's cheap, it's easy, and it WORKS! Gorilla Glue is available in just about ANY hardware store or hardware section.

I got a plantar wart about a year ago, and was unsure of what it was at first. It started out small, on the bottom of my left heel. It soon grew to be a pretty big nasty wart and a smaller one just recently popped up next to it. I finally discovered the identity of these by doing research on the internet, and was really glad when I found I could get rid of them. They are ugly, embarassing, gross, and painful little monsters and I wanted them OFF OF MY FOOT! I was looking on this site and saw a lot of posts about using ACV, but they all talked about a lot of pain, and as you can probably relate to, I was not too psyched about having to go through that. Plus, I have a busy schedule and don't have time for any more pain than the warts were already causing me. But then I came across one that talked about using clear nail polish, which I had, so I thought I might try it. I put the nail polish on both warts after my shower at night. It dried surprisingly fast. Within even a day I started to notice a difference: the warts were turning a darker color. I kept applying the nail polish every day, usually after my shower or whenever I thought of it, but I had no specific pattern. After a week, the warts were a dark brown/black-ish color and I no longer had any pain. One night, I noticed that the large wart was peeling, and I was able to peel it right off and discover actual skin underneath!!! It was still an open sore, but I was very happy that it was gone. I was also surprised because I thought the little one would be the first to go, but I'm still working on that one. This method was AMAZING!!! The only pain I felt the entire time was just the fact that after the wart was gone it was an open sore. And, I didn't even need to leave my house to get the treatment. I'm so happy I will be able to show my heel again without embarassment! I would really recommend this for people who want a cheap, pain-free method (and who doesn't)! :)

When I was 11 I got a plantars wart (after being confirmed by my mother who also has one). I guessed after researching what causes them, that you an pick them up from unsanitary floors or being barefoot, that I got mine from the floor of the locker room of my school. However, to cure mine, I simply took:
*1x Alcohol Pad
*2x Q-Tips
*1x Bottle of Hyd. Perox.
*1x Circular Band-Aid
(OPTIONAL) 1x Medical Tape
I took the alcohol pad and cleaned the surrounding area on my foot, then, I dipped the end of the Q-Tip in the Hyd. Perox. and applied it to the wart. Then, I took the circular band-aid and applied it to the wart. Then to suffocate it further, I applied medical tape over the band-aid. Now this next part may seem a bit weird, but I took a magnifier lens and I concentrated sunlight onto the wart after I dressed it with band-aids. I did it until It got warm, then I stopped. I did this 5 times for a week.
The inside of the wart had turned black and started to fall out. I washed my hands thouroughly and pulled out the black part with very little pain.
HOPE THIS HELPS, IT WORKED FOR ME :)

*FRANKINSENCE 100% OIL*
My son had a plantar wart we treated with the salicylic bandaids for 6 months. It just wouldn't go away. My sister told me to try FRANKINCENSE.
Her daughter's hands had been covered with warts, 14 or more. She had taken her to the doctor who had frozen them off multiple times, resulting in incresed growth and spreading of warts, in addition to being very painful. She tried Apple Cider Vinegar, but on day 3 the pain began, and day 5 the pain was unbearable. A friend told her to try FRANKINCENSE - 1 drop Frankicense + 1 drop olive oil - rub over affected area 2 times a day. After 3 weeks they were completely gone. Gone with NO PAIN whatsoever.
I decided to try this on my son. Since it was on the bottom of his foot I applied 1 drop FRANKINCENSE (no mixer oil necessary for tough bottom of foot skin) directly on plantar wart 2 times a day. After 1 week it started to turn black. By 2 weeks it was gone, but I continued 1 more week to make sure it was completely gone. I have since used this treatment on my 2 other children, and another friend of mine now swears by it as well. Best of all it is completely PAIN FREE.

Remedy: Gorilla Glue, quick dry kind.
Applied in night while child slept!
Child, age six, pain sensitive and non-compliant; 17 planters warts.
Time to fall out: 3-4 weeks.
My poor kid.
We tried a drug store wart remover but it seemed to affect her skin while the warts flourished.
We tried ACV but she complained of stinging.
We then applied nail polish for two weeks but again the warts kept growing. I applied Tea Tree oil. This seemed to prevent the smaller warts from growing, however the huge ones were left unaffected and did not change.
Finally we tried gorilla glue and wow, within one week they were all turning color. A hard crust would form on them, which I would pick off with tweezers and then reapply the glue (all while my daughter was sleeping). By two weeks, around six applications, huge results. It has been nearly a month and all but two have turned black and come out (I plucked them out during sleep again!). No pain at all, not even a complaint from my very pain sensitive child. Amazing! Just be warned, this stuff is strong and dries fast so be careful and don't let skin come into contact with anything else. If this ever happens again I will skip the other remedies and just use Gorilla Glue.

Put about 2 drops worth of tea tree oil onto a Q-tip and rub it on the wart. Refrain from touching the part of your foot to anything else until the oil has absorbed into the skin (approximately 10 minutes or so). Repeat as necessary. Works like a charm :)

I have what appears to be a new PW. After reading this forum I tried the clear fingernail polish thing and saw immediate results. It turned the center, or root, black and lifted it right out. I noticed another black root and we'll see what happens with that later today but it's already more comfortable to walk. Based on everything I've read I think the key is treating it immediately. I've heard that the longer you wait the more deeply rooted it becomes. Hope this helps.

I know this will sound crazy, but it has worked on at least 4 people I know of and has no pain. You have to be diligent for 2 weeks. Very little effort for a painful wart. Buy a bunch of bananas. Peel just a little of the banana so you can use a little the next day. I cut about a 4th of it off. Scrap the inside of the banana peel and make a little ball of the inside of the banana peel. Put it on the wart and use a regular bandage to hold it on the wart. You can do it over night and go to sleep. The next morning, the banana with be a gross black and the wart will start sharing the same color. Repeat with fresh banana peel for about 2 weeks. The wart gets darker and darker each day. If you do this during the day, it probably wont hurt a thing. In about 2 weeks, it will scab up and you can pick it out. It will leave a small hole but heal rather quickly with no pain. Hope this helps. Post on here if it worked for you and save people the problem of having to go to the doctor.

First I want to say that I NEVER post comments or reviews or ANYTHNG online but I had to say how GREAT this home remedy worked!!!!!! My 8 year old daughter had a planters wart on her foot for about 6 months. We had been trying the store bought 'removers' for months and it was not working. Only removing layers and layers of skin around the wart. I came to this webiste and read all the comments about the apple cidar vinegar and thought I would give it a try since the thought of going to the doctor to have it scrapped had my child in tears. We began to put a little tiny cotton ball soaked in the ACV and cover with a waterproof band aid twice a day. In a few weeks it turned black and totally came off yesterday. My babygirl is SOOOO HAPPY! Simple, cheap and pain free.

I had been battling plantars warts for 4 months. I had three small ones on my toes and two larger ones (the size of pencil erasers) which were side by side on the ball of my foot. In May I began noticing them and tried to use over the counter meds, then in June I started going to a pediotrist. All summer I battled with them and got to where I could hardly walk and nothing was working. Then finally on Friday, October 10, I was lead to this website where I began reading about the Apple Cidar Vinegar method. The next morning I went and bought my supplies: ACV, cotton balls, and duct tape. Immediately I started using the cotton balls soaked in the ACV. I did not tape a whole cotton ball, but I would pull off enough to cover the wart with a little extra, then taped it to the wart making sure that it was sealed off well. Then I wore socks. I did this method every night after showering and did not remove any of it until the following night for a shower. After doing this for 2 days, I was able to remove some of the smaller warts. Then by the following Tuesday (5 days) the larger warts were causing me much pain - I was reduced to tears, but that evening I was able to remove one of the larger warts and the next night I got the other one. This was not the end. I continued using the apple cider vinegar for 2 1/2 weeks total due to there being imbedded roots in my foot. Each night I worked on my feet pulling off the dead skin and any roots or remaining wart that the cidar might have drawn out. Your foot will look like you are pickling it, the skin will sort of flake off around the wart, and sometimes there is a lot of pain during the day (I suppose this is when the ACV is doing its magic). Now my feet feel brand new and I am able to get around wonderfully. Thank you Angel of God!

I've had a plantar's wart for 4 years. Doctors used every method at least 3 times each: Digging, burning, laser, freezing, acid, and salt & pepper. None of them kept away the wart. I tried compound w, tape, apple cider vinegar, and various prescription creams. Everything failed. Then I saw about using Gorilla glue and got an idea. I'll use super glue and peel it off when it dried. I did this several times a day, started seeing results. Then I added the use of putting fresh pieces of sliced garlic for 30 minutes on the wart. It's working great, the wart is smooth and turning pink and the black specs are dissapearing. The wart is fading fast. Best of all, it's painless!! Try it

Plantar Warts
Nothing works better for plantar warts than good old fashion grey duct tape. Here's what you do:
* shave the wart down to make it flat.
* cover the wart and the surrounding area around the wart with duct tape.
* leave the duct tape on for 10 days.
* if the duct tape starts to come off just replace it.
* On the 10th day take the tape of and soak your foot in warm water while scrubing the wart with a pumis rock to remove the dead skin.
* re-tape your foot again for another 10 days and repeat the process until the wart is gone.
I have personally done this and believe me it was the ONLY thing that worked for me.

After trying Dr. Scholl's Wart Remover pads (just made it more tender and painful) and Freeze-Off (did nothing), I cured my huge, ridiculously painful wart by spending less than $5 at the dollar store.
Materials:
*Q-Tips
*Tweezers
*Ordinary Hydrogen Peroxide (3%)
*Regular Band-Aids (You will need two sizes - circular ones, like the kind they put on a flu shot, and regular oblong ones. I just bought a variety pack.)
*A nail file
First, file down the wart as much as you can, then wash your affected foot. Dry it completely. Then, use the tweezers to pull off the tip of the Q-Tip (enough cotton to completely cover the wart), and dunk it in the hydrogen peroxide. Apply the soaked piece of cotton and press it on as firmly as you can tolerate.
Then bandage. First with the circular band-aid to cover the cotton, then the two oblong band-aids, one lengthwise and one crosswise. Make sure you press them airtight, this helps suffocate the wart. I left it on all day and all night, removing it before my morning shower, filing it down, washing my foot, and repeating the whole process every morning, and after the first two days I noticed it shrinking. Now, it's the 14th day, and while filing it down, the whole thing just came off, revealing new pink skin underneath! I'm ecstatic!
Just a warning though, the first night and day after did hurt a bit. If I could do it over, I would've taken an Advil first to avoid the pain. It's not horrible pain, I would say a 4/10. But the pain completely faded by the second night, and after 5 nights, the wart itself wasn't even tender to the touch anymore. A miracle cure!

I came across this site almost 4 months ago and decided to give the ACV treatment a go. I had been suffering with a large plantar wart on my right big toe for over 6 years. I had it frozen a couple of times with little effect. I also took the drastic measure of surgery in the hope that this would do the trick. Nope, didn't work either. This option was a painful and costly exercise. So, after reading the articles on this web site I drove to my local supermarket and purchased a bottle of ACV, a roll of medical tape and a bag of cotton wool (the make-up remover balls). I soaked my poor foot in hot water for about 10 minutes (to soften the skin, then dried my foot and got out my trusty corn file and filed down the wart as much as possible. I then soaked the cotton ball in ACV (but you can really use any type of vinegar - I did a couple of times and it still worked)and applied it directly on the wart and secured it with the surgical tape. I did this every night before I went to bed.The soaking, the filing and the rest. And yes, my toe DID initially throb with discomfort at night and it DID initially turn into a white puffy mound, but most importantly, the horrible thing started to shrink and within a fortnight it was half its original size. After 2 weeks, I only filed the wart every second night to expose the little 'roots' and I did away with the pre-soaking altogether at this time also. All in all it took a total of 6-8 weeks to completely rid myself of the wart I did hobble around a little every morning after removing the vinegar-soaked ball, but by 10am each day, the discomfort was gone. I experienced no pain (overnight or the following morning) after the first 2 weeks of treatment. It was worth it, believe me! I can't believe podiatrists charge an arm and a leg for a non-permanent solution, yet vinegar which costs a couple of dollars can stop the virus in its tracks. I even did a preventative overnight treatment a couple of weeks later just to make sure the wart was well and truly gone. This web site is a Godsend! Thanks!!!

I had the most painful warts on the balls of my feet and they were covered with callous. I think I first got the warts when I used a razor blade to shave off the callous and then I wore flip-flops right afterwards. Probably the virus got into the open 'wound'. Later, when I would shave the callous I would hit a reddish-black dot that would make me scream in pain. It was like hitting a nerve. Soon it became painful to walk. Over the course of YEARS I've had them cut out, burned out, you name it. But they kept coming back. Horrible. Then I read on one of these remedy sites about apple cider vinegar. It's a miracle cure. Very painful but it works. I soaked a small piece of cotton in ACV and taped (white medical tape, waterproof)it directly over the wart. One foot at a time folks, cuz it hurts.
I did this every night. Some nights I had to take aspirin or an Exedrin PM so that I could sleep with the throbbing pain. During the day I put a VERY small, thin piece of cotton soaked in ACV and covered it with tape.
Use your own judgment - if you can't handle the pain do it only at night, or every other day, but keep at it! In addition you can soak your foot in warm ACV for about an hour. It may throb. Soon the small black dot will grow in size, I think it is the wart coming to the surface. One of my warts took only about 3 weeks and I was able to lift the whole ugly brown thing out of my foot with the edge of a razor blade. It was huge. It will leave a hole in your foot where the wart was - make sure there are NO tiny black dots in the hole. If so, KEEP applying the ACV because there could be another layer of warts deeper into your foot. The other foot took 3 months before it was 'clean' and the warts came out in little pieces, not one big one like the first foot. Even after they were gone I continued for several weeks to wear just a bandaid with ACV on it. Just to make SURE that they didn't come back!! I had been in SUCH pain that I couldn't stand the thought of them recurring. Be sure to keep your feet clean. DON'T walk barefoot. I started taking l-lysine because I read that it helps prevent plantar warts (HPV virus). My warts have been gone for at least 9 months. I take lysine twice a day. I wear flip flops all the time but I make sure that I wait a day to wear flip flops after I shave the callous. ACV changed my LIFE. I use it for other maladies too. Go to the ACV remedy site. It is truly a miracle cure.

I've had a plantars wart on my heel for about a year now that I got from living in the dorms my freshman year. I went to the doctor and he gave me formaldehyde and told me to get some of the otc acid from a pharmacy. I tried this for a few months and nothing happened except for the warts spreading, so i looked online and people were saying to crush up Vitamin C and mix it with a little bit of water and put it on the wart and place a bandaid over it, I have been doing this for about a week now and saw results within the first few days! Hope this helps!

Then, while on vacation to the seashore I noticed that after wading in the ocean that my foot hardly hurt at all and the warts had shrunk down. OH MY GOD THE PAIN!!
I completely empathize with other posters who also experience pain with ACV treatment of warts! I have attempted ACV in the past for a mosaic plantar wart. I kept at it for at least 2 months. I noticed a huge difference, in the size of the wart and if I hadn't dropped out, I probably wouldn't be trying it again now.
I started yesterday with a vinegar soak. Then I applied ACV with a Kleenex covered with duct tape and a sock. A note on the ACV I am using. Because grocery store vinegar is only 5% acetic acid, I decided to play chemist by freeze evaporating the vinegar to make it more concentrated.
Last night, I woke up writhing in bed from the pain. Eventually, I removed the plaster and washed my foot. It continued to throb tenaciously, I barely slept at all. In spite of it all, I exfoliated the wart (with a Ped-Egg) today and reapplied ACV again this afternoon. It is worse than ever. I am trying to stick it out, but this pain is worse than a broken bone!
I found this site as I was searching for an explanation for this pain. Please, if anyone knows the specific cause of the pain, leave a comment.
For other about to embark on wart treatment with ACV, beware and stick to the table vinegar!

I have had this one plantar wart on my right foot for several years now. Sometimes it hurts, sometimes it doesn't. I'm starting to get fed up with it though. After doing much research online, I've decided to give the apple cider vinegar treatment a shot. I'm going to start it tonight, so we'll see how it goes!

I had suffered with a plantar wart on the bottom of my heal that was the size of a nickle for about 6 months. It had spread to the bottom of one of my toes on the same foot. It had become so painful I could hardly walk some days. I tried two over the counter remedies that did not work. I tried duct tape, nothing. I went to my doctor twice and had liquid nitrogen treatments that were so painful I felt sick to my stomach. After the treatments I couldn't walk for 2 days...it was awful! About a week before I was suppose to go back to the doctors for another treatment I came on this website and read about Apple Cider Vinegar. I told a co-worker I was going to try it for a week and see what happens. I started applying a small piece of cotton ball soaked in ACV and covered it with duct tape every morning and before bed. For the first couple of days I would take some advil because it was a little sore. Within 5 days I could see the skin around the wart was dead and starting to indent. My wart finally became flush with the rest of my heal and there was no pain at all. After a week I started to lift away some of the dead skin. I left it alone and about 3 days ago i was able to completely peel away both warts. I wish I had of known about ACV when this started...just amazing!!!!

Apple Cider Vinegar has been working well for me. I had a 'main' one and a few surrounding. It started to callous but after a few days of the ACV I was able to remove the dead surrounding skin. So far the wart just looks smaller. It hurts some but not too much. I'm nervous about this though. Is it bad to have ACV on the fresh skin underneath the callous?

Plantar warts are thickenings of the skin layer called epidermis. This is cvaused by a virus HPV. So it doesnt mean we should get scared.
First take a water heater nd heat it until it steams out. Use a long stick of about 20cm with one end of it covered by medical cotton. Dip the end covered with cotton into the steaming water which will be poured ito a cup. Then pace the dipped cotton on the warts for around 10 seconds. It might be painful for some but do resist it.Repeat it 10 mints 3 times each day.The wart resolves by itself. A black necrotic part appears after some weeks and falls off.
Be healthy and thanks for this website which helps many.

I have had a plantar wart on my right foot for over five years. I was a modern dancer for years (this is done barefoot) and picked it up from the floor. This happened in the past, but I was always able to get rid of those warts by putting Vitamin E on them.
This time, I have tried Vitamin E, over-the-counter products (acid and freezing), tea tree oil, garlic, duct tape, etc. My obstacle was not so much that none of these worked, because they might have, but it was in sticking with one of them. I couldn't see any progress, or it would stop hurting, so I would sort of forget. The wart is now about the size of the pad of my thumb-BIG. ANNOYING. MY NEMESIS. I HAD THIS WART THROUGH MY PREGNANCY.
Now I am using Apple Cider Vinegar. I am filing the wart at night with a Ped-Egg (a gift from my husband from the As Seen On Television store-I love my husband) and then putting a cotton ball soaked in ACV on the wart with a band-aid while I sleep. I am then wetting the pad of a new band-aid with ACV in the morning and wearing that during the day.
The first morning I did this I saw the black dots, and now I am seeing real progress. The progress is addictive, and I have been treating the wart faithfully. It is sore but manageable. I think the whole process will take a couple months, but I am in it for the long haul now. Die, wart, die.

This might sound a little weird to some, but if you have warts, use your saliva right when you wake up in the morning and rub it on them! It works!

I read several of the remedies on this site, but I had to share my own experience as well.
I have had my plantar warts for an excess of three years now and have tried most everything short of going to the doctor to have them cut out. They covered close to 2 square inches of skin on the bottom of my foot. I ignored them for a long time hoping they would just go away, but I only got more and more until they became mosaic warts - sprouting almost on top of each other and getting so big that walking was becoming more than a little uncomfortable.
I started with over the counter methods - namely the freeze 'em off methods. All this did for me was cause the skin around the warts to die - never killed a wart. I started with this method when I just had a few warts and it didn't work. By the time I had more than I could count, I knew going back to this wasn't even a viable option.
Next, I tried apple cider vinegar - took a cotton ball, soaked it and used a bandage to apply it to my foot. I changed the bandage daily (sometimes more than once a day) with fresh ACV and did this for approximately 4-6 months. Apparently this works for some people, but it did nothing for me but inflame the skin around the warts. It began to sting and was more uncomfortable than having the warts, so I finally gave up after putting myself through the misery of the stinging for months.
Of course, I also tried the old cut them out yourself method. I dug and dug at those warts with manicure tools (this is NOT recommended as you could give yourself infections, etc.). I was desperate, though!
Finally, what worked for me seems to work for some and not others. I was very skeptical of the duct tape remedy as no one knows exactly why it works, but after reading an actual medical study where there were proven results, I decided to give it a try.
I used plain old gray duct tape - the tape I used was REALLY old, probably had been sitting in our closet for 5 years or who knows how long. I finally have made progress on ridding myself of the warts - I'm down to under a square inch now and making good progress. I've been using the tape for about a month or so now and have gotten that far! I use a pumice stone after removing the tape about once a week (usually after a shower) to file the warts down. Given that I tried other remedies for up to 6 months with no results, I am very excited about this.
A few tips:
1. Don't wait too long to treat your warts or you will have more than you can handle before you know it.
2. If one remedy doesn't work for you, don't give up - just try another. I wonder if body chemistry doesn't play a role in what will work.
3. If using the duct tape method, I found that wrapping some non-adhesive bandage around the area will keep the tape from sticking too your shoes or socks. It can really cause damage if you have to wear the tape for too long.
4. Just a word of warning - when taking the tape off (mine slides and I usually have to take it off daily and reapply) it can kill the surrounding skin leaving you with a terrible odor. It goes away as soon as the skin dries out, but I don't want you to be alarmed.

Apple Cider Vinegar. I had no idea what a plantar wart even was when I first got one on my foot. My feet are pretty spotless most of the time so I had to do some research on my own matching symptoms to find out what had afflicted me. None of the options for a cure seemed very quick or appealing to me: Freezing it off, starving it of oxygen, using acids?
I looked into other options, and then came upon these nature-based remedies. I've never tried nature-based remedies and to be honest, I was reallllyyy skeptical. After all, I couldn't even know if any of these people were telling the truth; it's the internet after all. However, as it was only cheap apple cider vinegar, there wasn't really anything to lose, and applying a little bit overnight with a soaked cotton ball under a band-aid didn't sound so bad.
I tried it, and the first night there wasn't really a difference. The area on my foot was pale from being under the band-aid, and it looked damp from the apple cider vinegar. Still, I kept at it.
I didn't even really notice it, but what do you know, within two weeks time the dastardly plantar wart was gone! That thing was so awful--it hurt, it was unattractive, and I had heard stories about plantar warts remaining for years.
I think the time it takes for the vinegar to work varies, but if you keep at it, it could definitely work for you, and there isn't much to lose, anyway. Take it from a cynic who knows.

I soaked a small bit of cotton in tea tree oil and covered the wart on the bottom of my foot with it. I then applied a waterproof bandage. After 24 hours the wart was slightly indented and I repeated the procedure. In 48 hours it was an slight hole. I repeated again. By the end of the 3 days it was a crater. I will continue to reapply the oil for a week just to be sure the virus does not survive. There was no soreness, no irritation and no redness. Amazingly fast. I also used the oil to cure a toenail fungus about 8 years ago. It never returned.

I was looking at surgery for a plantars wart on the bottom of my foot and decided to give a rememdy my mom had read in Prevention Magazine. All you do is make a up a bit of paste using red (cayan) pepper and vinegar. Cover is all around w/ a bandaide or tape (so you don't wake up w/ a bed full of red pepper)and sleep in it each night. The seeds of the wart start to turn black and eventually it pretty much will come out in one piece. You can clean off layers each morning if you want to but I don't know if it makes it go away any faster...

SINGLE TREATMENT CURE: Well I read a few postings and tried the Apple Cider Vinegar [ACV] for about a 2 weeks [day and night]. I keep a cotton ball on it with ACV and taped it to my foot with duct tape. I was fed up and wanted the pain gone. Here is want I did, I got a gallon of White Vinegar and pored 1/2 of it home foot massage [I think any pan you can put your foot in would work as long as the Vinegar is up to almost the ankle]. I then got a needle and used a lighter to sterilize it. After 5 minutes in the vinegar, I stuck the needle in the wart till I hit bottom [felt is stabbing me]. I then moved the top of the needle around in a circle to tear a small hole there. I repeated this in multiple places on the wart so the vinegar could get inside the wart. I did this ever 5 to 10 minutes for an hour keeping my foot in the vinegar except for the needling. My foot felt hot at some point but that OK. After an hour I took my foot out, dried it and then coated the wart with Gorilla glue. It has been a week and I have no pain. I am just waiting for the Gorilla glue to fall off now. Wow try it!!!
PS... I do think the ACV softened the wart but you may just want to do 1.5 hours in white Vinegar instead if you have not done the ACV.

My 18 year old daughter has extensive plantar warts on both feet. She recently completed 7 months of painful treatment - injections, shaving, freezing, etc. After all that pain, the warts seemed as if they were gone. She went to Costa Rica for two weeks on school trip and notice upon return that the warts were worse than ever. She was absolutely devistated.
I then found this website and began treatment three days ago with apple cider vinegar. I can already see that the warts are dissolving. It's amazing and we are truly hopeful for the first time that this ugly problem will be solved!

I have a lot of plantars on my left foot, I was advised to try the tape method, but I couldn't get it to stay on. Then I had an idea, to super glue the tape into place. I know it sounds crazy but super glue isn't harmful to skin, in fact doctors use it to glue wounds together sometimes. I tore the tape into small squares and glued them over two 'clusters' I have. After about two or three days the tape pieces fall off, normally after a shower, and I then pared back the dead skin and replaced the glue and tape. After two weeks I took the tape off and let them dry out, it looks like they have died, I have no pain from them any more, and the whole process was compleatly mess and pain free. One word of warning, don't put socks on until the glue has dried or you'll glue your socks to your feet!

I have a large plantar's wart about the size of a penny and several tiny ones (about 30) around it. The mother one, as my podiatrist calls it, I've had for about 6 years. It started out small. I ignored it hoping it would go away on it's own. It slowly got bigger over the years and about a year ago I noticed it had spread. The bottom of my foot towards the heal is just covered in plantar's warts. I tried soaking my foot in ACV but didn't really notice any results except for tingling. Then another night, I tried soaking it in peroxide for 15 minutes. Dried it off and went to bed. About 10 minutes later there were stabbing pains in my foot like little needles. Very painful and lasted about 10 minutes. I didn't try that again. Finally went to a dr. The Dr recommended lazer formaldhyde solution. It comes in a roll-on and it dries out the wart and the surrounding skin but doesn't hurt. I was impressed because the throbbing I would experience after going to bed went away almost immediately. I've noticed all of the warts seem to be getting smaller. The large one has turned very black. In the shower, I use one of those foot scrapers and it takes off the dead skin as well as layers of the warts. It's been 3 months. All of the warts are still there but seem to be shallower. I believe in another 2 months most of the small ones will be completely gone. I just wish it would work faster.

I am trying to the apple vinegar method with my warts. I have tried everything for the past 7 years, all of the over the counter methods, freezing, burning, and even have had them cut out 6 times. The last time they cut them out they took out about a quarter size of warts and it was DEEP. The pain from all of these was horrible. I am amazed at how quickly the apple venegar is working, yes it hurts but nothing compared to having a huge gaping hole in your foot. We will see if they go away but they already are not as sore to walk on.

April 2012: I write because twice I have had plantars warts on the bottom of my foot. 1st time the dermatologist frozen-surgically removed it, took 2-3 weeks of hobbling around in pain, changing the dressing, etc., but after all that hassle, wart came back. Dr. tried acid, but that didn't work. Then he tried electric arc, and that didn't work. Finally, I just decided to slice off the top of wart every few weeks, when the callused skin built up uncomfortably. I used a cotton ball, sterile pad or tissue dipped in rubbing alcohol and cleaned a one-sided razor and the wart itself, then used the razor, careful not to cut so far down that it would bleed much or at all from the pinpoint seed-like dots you see. Occasionally I'd have to put a bandage on it until the bleeding stopped overnight. Months later, the wart went away by itself. A year or two later, I got a plantars wart on another part of the bottom of my foot, and this time, decided simply to slice off callused skin as it developed, as above. Did that for about a 18 mos. to 2 years. Then, suddenly, wart disappeared on its own. I know you'll hear a lot of naysayers, oh it's so unsafe, etc., etc., but I suggest the foregoing is one method that has worked twice for me to control the growth around a wart (so it's not uncomfortable to walk on), until such times that the wart has eventually disappeared on its own.

At first I thought I stepped on a sea urchin when I got the wart. I'm in the water all the time, on boats, around pools, on the beach. I'm a scuba instructor and a surfer. I got really worried when I could barely walk on my foot because the wart was getting big and I was not at all keen on having it cut off since I have no insurance and can't afford the time off my feet. I friend of mine got them all the time and she suggested this remedy which seems to work like a charm. But you have to be diligent about it:
Salicylic acid is key. After a shower or soaking your feet at night, use a pumice stone to scrub off any excess skin and scrub hard. Then crush up some aspirin and add enough water to make it pasty. Apply the paste to the wart(s) then use one of those spot bandages to cover it up. Leave it on while sleeping, take it off when you wake up, then use tea tree oil or eucalyptus oil throughout the day after your feet get wet. I use Burt's Bee's Wax Herbal Blemish Stick, it has all those oils plus salicylic acid throughout the day. All this has been working so far but I understand I have to be religious about the treatment for she said two weeks otherwise the virus comes back. Beats the heel out cutting them out or freezing them...

I'm 20 years old and I can tell you that I'm really hygienic. I really didn't understand why I had plantar warts on my right foot. They didn't look good also that's why I kinda panicked. My doctor told me that it has nothing to do with my being hygienic. It's caused by HPV virus which is incurable. I cannot afford freezing them off as the doctor suggested. So I searched for a good treatment online and I found Wartanol. It turned my warts to black after 4-5 days and then they eventually fell off. Quick but effective remedy. I still have the virus though since it's incurable but I'm trying my best to keep my immune system boosted up.

My 7 yr old granddaughter had several plantar warts on both feet for years. Took her to podiatrist, he gave a presc for a topical antibiotic - to no avail. Said the only way to get rid of them for good was laser surgery. No way! Found Dermisil online. Gave it a shot. Smells strong, didn't have much faith, but, low & behold, after several months, using it after baths, letting them air for a few minutes, then putting socks on. They are ALL gone! This kid had and entire cluster on one heel (at least 10) and probably another 10 spread over the rest of her feet. I'm truly amazed and thankful.

ACV works! I had a tiny plantar wart and had gotten it burned at the doctor a year ago. It came back, so I used several types of salycilic acid pads from a pharmacy. I thought they were working but they only made the wart grow! They chewed up the skin around the wart and it grew to about 10 cm in diameter. This was a year later - I decided to dump the pharmacy.
Then I read this blog and decided to try a combination of things. ACV worked the best. I also occasionally painted the top of the wart with finger nail polish and covered it with duct tape to not let it 'breathe'. I am not sure if the duct tape serves to 1) not let it breathe or 2) not let the virus spread. Out of all of these, apple cider vinegar was definitely the most effective. My wart was pretty big so I had to be patient (couple of months). However, the wart finally went away 100%. :) I did not treat it every day - more so like every couple of days.
Another word of advice - do not pick at your wart to try to remove it. Every single cell must die - and ACV does just this. Picking at it will just make the virus spread.

i had a plantar wart on the side of my middle toe that i treated with salicylic acid wart remover pads for 6 weeks with no success.
then i came across this site and read about countless success stories with apple cider vinegar, cotton balls and duct tape. within 3 days the wart turned black and after one week of diligently taping a cotton ball soaked with apple cider vinegar with duct tape around my toe, my wart has gone away!
but unlike many others who have posted here, my experience was rather painful. i woke up every night for the first 5 nights with a terrible throbbing pain in my toe. it was excruciating. but come morning when i removed the tape, it would start to feel better. i think the pain is indicative of the vinegar penetrating deep into the wart and 'suffocating' it.
even though it was really quite painful, i recommend this treatment to anyone who wants to rid his/her feet of these nasty persistent plantar warts. thank goodness for this site! i'm truly grateful.

Plantars warts are painful as we as know, so I'll skip all that and how I got it.
Its on my heel difficult area to see it so just thought it a callous, so its been there 5+ years.
Tools
1) drill bits (2)
2) ped egg
3) dremel sanding drum
4) wart stick (40% salicylic acid)
5) apple cider vinegar
I started with ped egg but found to slow for me, jumped to course sandpaper with dremel tool which creates heat fast touch and stop but takes down real fast.
applied wart stick and cover bandaid. Did for a week daily basis, demel is not needed any more, can use a power drill as well if you don't have a dremel.
Wart is very soft now. I used a small sterilized drill bit BY HAND to twist into the wart goes in very easy, then go up to next size or two drill bit, now have a very neat hole, I only went to depth of tolerable pain. Not blood. Found babies on both sides as well. More acid more drilling for another few days, finished with apple cider vinegar daily for a week, applied to cotton then band aid. I found the acv to burn less than the acid. Wart free. This is my story and nothing else.

When I was in high school and college I had plantar warts on my heal. I tried surgery, freezing, a series of small pox vaccinations (that was 1972), the acid. Then one summer I turned into a no meat diet and they magically disappeared. Fast forward 15 years..my daughter developed the warts on her toes. I read an article about vitamin A being used for plantar warts. Soak the affected area in the tub and use a pumice stone to roughen the warts. Then get a vitamin A capsule (1000 meq) and pierce it with a pin. Apply the vitamin A oil into the wart. Repeat this daily or more than once a day if you have time. After a week or more (depending on the size of the wart) you will notice a dark black spot. That is the wart dying!! Soon it will disappear or fall out. The trick is to find a treatment that goes into the 'roots' of the wart. Ten percent of the wart is on the surface and 90% is underneath. Surgery and freezing do not reach the network of virus under the skin. In my case it only caused more warts to develop around the original site. Please try the vitamin A method. It makes more sense to me than duck tape.

I would like to thank everyone who posted about using apple cider vinegar to get rid of plantar warts. I had never had a plantar wart until one suddenly appeared on my finger about 6 weeks ago. I had no idea what it was at first. I thought it might have been some kind of foreign body, so after it had been there a few days I took a scalpel blade and trimmed it flat. I was horrified to wake up 2 days later to see it was completely back. Someone at work told me it looked like a plantar wart, and when I Googled plantar warts I found this website. I called to make an appointment with a dermatologist, but decided to try the apple cider vinegar treatment in the meantime, as I figured it couldn't hurt and I couldn't get in to see the dermatologist for several weeks. I soaked a small piece of cotton in the vinegar, placed it on the wart, and covered it with a bandaid. I changed the cotton and bandaid twice a day. After a few days of this, I was very distraught when I removed the bandaid in the morning to see that the thickened area on the periphery of the wart was about 3 times the size it had been before I started the treatment. However, after I took the bandaid off for the day it went back to the original size. So I started using the vinegar and bandaid during the day, and leaving it off at night so the peripheral swelling would go down. Today, which is the 5th day of using the vinegar, the entire thickened area and the central dark core is gone! There's still a flat whitish area remaining, so I'm going to use the vinegar for a few more days to make sure I got it all. I can't believe such a simple household product got rid of this disgusting thing! So again, thank you everyone for posting about this home remedy!

Duct tape, ACV, orange peels, nothing worked. I had been viciously battling PW for over 6 months. Sometimes it got so bad that my foot was no longer recognizable as human. Until a family dinner earlier in the month, I thought all hope was lost. ACV had reduced my PW's to a manageable level, but it still hurt to get out of bed each morning. At the dinner my Ked's had taken what seem to be a painful choke hold on my warts. Wincing behind the pain, I manage to finish my meal. I excused myself from the table and snuck into the kitchen to grab a paring knife. I spent the remainder of the night bleeding previously while stopping my operation to take another bump off my fav whiskey. Happy to say that I can enjoy life like a normal human being. So for all out there looking for a last ditch effort.... this is it. Time to man up and slice them suckers out.

I had 3 plantar warts on the bottom of one of my feet, and I tried everything to get rid of them (no over the counter wart remover even phased them). The only thing that worked was a home remedy that I found on another home remedy website. Here it is:
Mix 2 parts Castor Oil with 1 part Baking Soda and stir until a paste is formed - it should be about the same consistency as jelly or Elmer's glue (but not sticky!). Apply the paste liberally to the wart, then cover with a band-aid. Do this at least two to three times per day. You should also try scrubbing the wart with a pumice stone every night before applying the paste. This will remove the top layer of dead skin on the wart.
After suffering with my planter warts for about 2 months, this remedy completely cured them in about 2 weeks!

I had a plantar wart for a couple of months and even though it was in the beginning stages, it was already bothering me because it felt like I was walking on a stone all of the time.
I came across this site when I was doing a search on home remedies for plantar warts so I thought I'd give some of these a try before resorting to medications or possibly having it removed.
I did what some other people have done here by putting some Vaseline around the wart and then taking the cotton off of one end of a Q-Tip and soaking it in Apple Cider Vinegar. Then I placed the soaked cotton on the wart and covered it was a Band-Aid. I didn't bother to scrape it every night. I did this twice a day and after a few days, I simply pulled off any of the dead wart that pushed its way up and continued the treatment.
By the eleventh day, the wart was completely gone! I couldn't believe at how quickly the ACV got rid of the wart and it was painless too which is even better. If I ever get another plantar wart, I'll be using ACV to clear it up!

I removed my plantars wart last year by taking a clean knife and cleaning the area and cutting it out. It was quite painful but the area healed in a week and I have not had one since

I've had plantar warts for 15 years. (I know, this is taking my doctor phobia a little too far.)I did have them surgically removed once, but they came right back. I controlled them with over the counter medications, but couldn't get rid of them. They're finally gone. Do not let them crust or callous over. That's their protection and they thrive. After filing or shaving off the crust, rinse with hydrogen peroxide. I then cut a small piece of cotton from a ball, dipped it in tea tree oil and vitamin E oil. I taped it to the warts with duct tape. At night, I did the same, but soaked the cotton in apple cider vinegar. After about 10 days, I took off the bandage and found a layer of dead, loose, skin. After removing that, I discovered the warts were completely gone! That is a true blessing after all this time! There was some pain (if the vinegar burns too much, replace it with the tea tree and vitamin E oil, until the vinegar can be tolerated), but it's worth being able to walk normally.

To everyone who is removing any Plantar Wart...After you are done filing the wart be sure to WASH THE FILE WITH ANTIBACTERIAL SOAP AND HOT WATER. If you fail to do this the Plantar Wart will come back or spread. If you're using a regular nail file, I suggest just throwing it away. Why have all of your efforts wasted!!!

so on Monday i finally had a doctors appointment to have my planters warts on my foot removed. but apparently this was not what was going to happen. They froze them with a liquid nitrogen substitute, and they were to fall off in a period of six weeks. i didn't think this was a big deal so i continued my day by going to school. by the last period of the day, my foot felt like it was burning. just a constant burn. it has been like this and it is incredibly painful to walk. it is now Thursday. i decided to look up home remedies because i am not convinced that the freezing will work.
I saw so many accounts of apple cider vinegar working so i decided what the heck! why not do it. so i am. i just applied it. it is already painful to walk and i am eager to get this going so i don't care if i do it during the day.
I hope this works because i am 16 and a total wimp and i am NOT going to the pediatrist to have them use a scalpel and scrape them out. NO WAY! if anyone thinks they are getting a scalpel anywhere near me the have another thing coming.
Anyways, thank you to everyone for posting about apple cider vinegar. I had it in my home and didn't even have to go out to buy it. :D YAY

I have had plantar warts off and on for many years. To my dismay they can be genetic and my poor little daughter got them too! I have tried every over the counter remedy you can think of and I've even gone the dermatologist route and had mine frozen off before. When my daughter's first plantar wart appeared I dreadded having her to have that painful procedure, so I went old school. Yes the apple cider vinegar method works, the duct tape method works, but with small children its hard to keep up with that so I had to think of something easier...and i came up with good old fashioned crazy glue! Applied the crazy glue to the wart for a week and poof! No more wart!! And for those of you with artificial nails...nail glue works wonders too!!

I have had a plantars wart for about seven years now. I've tried it all. Nothing would get rid of it. In the past few months, it's gotten really worse. The pain to walk was almost unbearable at times. I've been a lurker on here for those months and decided to try the ACV method. I cannot believe the pain! Someone said Tylenol or the like would help alleviate the pain. I needed a strong morphine drip, and I've had two children! But, alas. It IS working! This is my fourth day, and I put it on every night. I can't put it on and wear shoes. The pain is just too bad while trying to walk. I've become a firm believer in the ACV, and while it may not work for everyone, it is working for me :-)

I have had Planters Warts on my feet when I was a teenager. I would get them from the public swimming pool while taking my swimming lessons. No word of a lie, I went to my doctor and he suggested that I place peanut butter on the warts and have my dog lick it. Appenrently, the dog's saliva has a healing property that kills the root. Thankfully I did have a dog and tried it. It worked everytime!
Today, my daughter now has these planter warts for the same reason and she is 6. The option of using the over the counter meds on her sensitive skin aren't an option (they do breakdown the healthy skin surrounding the warts). I went along and did the Peanut Butter test with my Mother in law's dog (whom I have takin in for a few days) and the root of the wart is now surfacing. The best is watching and listening to my daughter laughing histarically while the dog is licking her little toes!
I may consider using the Vinegar remedy next time...my mother in laws dog is old and has really stinky farts! But as an alternative to all these postings...the peanut butter thing works too! :)

I don't think any of these painful treatments would be easily endured by my 12 year old son. He was already in a lot of pain from the plantar warts (about 15) on both of his feet and toes. They had to have been there for some time before he told me about them. I searched online for natural remedies and came across the duct tape idea which we tried faithfully for two weeks with no success. Trying to get duct tape to stick to a sweaty 12 year old's feet isn't easy! It just kept peeling off and sticking to his socks. So we went back to our family's old tried and true remedy, Echinacea. He took the highest dose recommended for his size (4 capsules every night) for about one month before they all started to turn black and fall off completely. There is absolutely no pain involved at all. This has worked for several of us in the family now and none of the warts have come back. We are now trying it out on our 8 year old for a wart under his toe nail. He isn't able to swallow a capsule yet so we are trying the liquid echinacea for him. This one is worth a shot especially when trying to treat kids.

Then it spend to about 10 little ones on my pinky toe next to it.I have tried Dr Scholz planter ward freeze off twice with no luck.Went to the doctor and she didn't bother with the small ones and billed my insurance company $200.Finally read your column and decide to do ACV,cotton balls and duct tape.I started 1 week ago and the big one is down to a scab. It is painfull and some days hard to walk on.It's the many little ones that are taken a little time to heal believe it or not.You have to soak everyday .I put on aloe from my plant during the day.I will continue for another week and I hope I will be healed.

my plantars warts were so bad( whole ball of foot was covered and spreading rapidly to sides and heel) podiatrist said i would have to go to dermatologist he couldn't help me anymore (after years of treament)he said derm. would have to inject warts with yeast to kill them off. before i could go i had an attack of diverticulitis and had to go on flaygl(intestinal antibiotic-p.s. avoid this antibiotic if possible-side effects are horrific) after i killed every living bacteria in my intestinal tract i went on florastor(its all natural yeast based, available at most drug stores) and bought a high quality probiotic, after one week i noticed every last plantars wart was gone!!! the florastor is a little pricey($50 for 50 capsule) and i took 2 a day along with the max dose of probiotics but all in all still cheaper than my copay for derm and added benefit of keeping my intestinal tract healthy and functioning!!!if anyone tries this and it works i would like to hear about it email me at jaded43543@aol.com

So I have 2 plantars warts on each foot, and the biggest is about the size of a bead, so my case is pretty mild. I read most of the suggestions on this site and decided to try apple cider vinegar and not freeze them off. So I soak a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar then squeeze it onto a band-aid and change them when I wake up and after I shower. When I'm in the shower I put nail polish over them then peel it off after I get off, and it takes a little bit of the wart off everytime. I have been doing this for about 3 days now and have already gotten rid of one! Hope this helps!

So I read about aloe vera but iut has to be the female plant... for some reason.. as I am in tucson az its growing outside my house.. So I chose the female and just kept applying it, and it finally killed them took about a month and a half but not only did it kill the center but no painful burns cuts or rememdies by paying a doctor so much money...!!!!! don't do it!!!!! JUST USE ALOE VERA CUT IN IN HALF LIKE A LEMON, AND APPLY THE GOOEY PART ON THE WART. TAPE IT ON IT YOU HAVE TO... JUST KEEP APPLYING IT AS IT WILL DRY FAST.. THE SLIME AND THE SLIMIER THE BETTER... HOPE THIS HELPS!!!!!

I'm not sure if anyone has ever attempted this at home on their own, but I was able to surgically remove a 1cm plantar wart from the pad of my foot with my bare hands. After a few weeks of applying salic acid from acne pads I had, I decided enough was enough and I wanted the little devil out.
After just getting out of the shower I sat down and began scraping and pinching at the plantar wart which at first was deep in the skin and flush with the rest of my foot. After about 5-10 minutes of aggressive pinching and pulling, manipulating it to the surface as if it were a pimple; I had forced the wart to the surface, with it now appearing like a sizable pimple or cyst.
At this point I was able to grip it tightly with the nail of my thumb and index finger and literally ripped it from my foot completely intact leaving a small hole in my foot that I cleaned out, treated with antibacterial ointment and finally bandaged with gauze and tape.
Hope this helps anyone brave enough to attempt such an aggressive home remedy.

Lavender oil will make plantar warts die and fall off in about 2-3 weeks time after only one application. Most likely faster if you apply it every day.
An increase in vitamin A will also do the trick. Eat your leafy greens and soon you'll notice them start to turn black.

I have 66 planters warts on the bottom of my feet(seriously)! And I have had them since I was 2 years old and I started off with jet one. I didn't tell anyone till I was at adoctors appt. when I was 8. The doc. treated I and they spread and haven't stopped since. So to get rid of them I put a cotton ball that had been soaked in apple cider vinegar on the wart(s). I left it on for one night then took It off in the morning. The next day I left it on One night and one day then took it off before I went to sleep. It turned black and hard Like a scab. Then after 2-5 days a little orange circle formed around it. I started to Peel back the orangish skin and it just came of the whole thing! I took it off as if I was peeling off a scab. There was then a little hole but it closed up in about 3 days!!!!!
Hope this helped!
p.s. You can keeP putting the apple cider vinegar on as needed in the pattern 'shown' , one night, one night one day, and so on!

I read this site and found the cure for plantar warts. My little girl recently got a plantar wart on her foot and I tried over the counter medications that didn't work. I looked on this site and saw the remedy of vinegar and lime juice and soaked her foot initially in vinegar a half hour then took a cotton ball with vinegar and fresh lime juice on it taped it securely over the wart with duct tape and left it on over night. After the first night the wart's root had turned black. I have been continuing the cotton ball procedure every night and sanding down the dead skin....It is working and it is definitely cheaper than those over the counter medicines that don't work..Thank you for this site.

Apple cider vinegar WORKS. And it works well...and best of all, it's hardly $1 at any local grocery store. Before you consider painful, expensive treatments, it is worth it to try the ACV method.
About a year ago I developed a plantar wart on the bottom of my right toe. I have a compromised immune system, but not considering this, I decided to see if it would go away on it's own. A year later, I'm at war with the thing which has doubled in size AND had a baby right in the center of the ball of my foot. I didn't understand how contagious they were until doing more research. Now, I'm a month into vigorous treatment with ACV and for the first time I'm seeing this thing dying off and my foot returning to normal. Here is my treatment summarized:
1. Pull off the end of a q-tip, soak in vinegar, put on wart. Use other end of q-tip to soak up some of the acv so it isn't dripping down your foot.
2. Cover it firmly with either duct tape or water proof tough bandages. WEAR ALL DAY IF YOU CAN STAND IT.
3. Every 24 hours, remove the bandage. Using the edge of a small knife (I used a needle-threader, perfect shape)scrape away any dead skin. If it doesn't scrape away easily, don't scrape at it. Replace a fresh acv soaked cotton piece, re-bandage. Repeat this procedure for 1-3 months..or however long it takes to clear up. Repeat it for another week after that to ensure it doesn't return.
Note: DO NOT touch the wart or any parts of it with your bare hands. Wash your hands properly afterward and disinfect any tools you use every time.

When I was in 7th grade (over 40 years ago) got huge wart on the ball of my foot. So bad could hardly walk. went to Dr. and called it a gym wart. Tried a new treatment Radiation. Didnt work, after 3rd treatment had oppisite effect. Now I had over a dozen warts on the bottom of my foot. Dr. said time to back to the old style treatment, formaldehyde. cant remember ratio with water, something like 10 parts or 20 parts water to 1 formaldehyde, or the time soaked per day, youll have to ask your doctor. Ofcourse foot shriveled up but the warts turned black. In a week pulled the warts out with tweezers, no pain.

i have a plantar wart on my right foot that i've had since about may. i thought there was something in my foot at first so i didn't start any remedy until july. i tried the liquid wart remover stuff from a drugstore with no results. i then tried freezing the wart with over the counter stuff with no result. i then read a few diff. websites that said to use apple cider vinegar. i soaked a cotton ball in ACV and duct taped it to my foot at night. i did notice a change in the wart. it turned black and i was able to pick some of the wart out. the only problem was that i would wake up every night at 2 in the morning with throbbing pain! it woke me up out of my sleep!!!! i kept this up for a few nights but i typically work day shift so i had to stop treatment because i needed to sleep! i don't know if the pain was from the wart dying or from the ACV eating away at my skin!! has anyone else experienced this pain with this treatment? i am now scheduled to have the wart surgically removed but i really don't want to that route. im sure that will be extremely painful not to mention the deductible and copays i'll incur from my insurance. any input would be greatly appreciated!

I've read 3 pages of comments and I decided to go with the ACV method. I just applied it about 30 min ago, so far not much discomfort. (I've tried compound w and other store bought wart removals and none worked). I've had one plantar wart for over a year and since then I've gotten about 5 more. So ready for it to be gone. I'm thinking about combining ACV, clear fingernail polish and maybe even the bleach.

Believe it or not, I had a wart the size of a quarter for about five years or so. Zapped it at least half a dozen times by the doc. A friend of my father told me that she would buy my wart. Laughingly I sold it to her for a quarter, about the size of the darn thing, right. She told me that in order for this to work, I had to believe in it. Sure, why not? I said to myself. And what followed afterwards, I swear on both my childrens' heads, after a week it started to diminish in size and by the third week, well you can guess the rest. So take this with whatever grain of salt you wish, but hey, if all else fails, try this out. It worked for ME, so who knows, right?

All I did was put a soak cotton in vinegar, saran wrap it around my baby toe (the one with the wart) and duct tape it in place. I did this for 2 nights in a row, forgot about it, did it again for one night, forgot about it...So I wasn't even that consistent with treatment, but it does WORK! I've heard that vinegar works great for foot callouses too, so for 2 nights I put a sock on my foot, soaked it in vinegar and then put a heavy plastic bag over it, with another sock to keep it tight. I did this 2 nights, the wart was gone by this time (total of maybe 5 overnight vinegar treatments), AND my callouses turned super soft where I could scrape away the skin with my fingernail...over a few days the skin kinda sloughed off on it's own (aided with pumice stone in shower a couple times) and my one foot is SUPER SOFT! I've used vinegar for SO MANY things and it truly is amazing!

I have had a plantar wart on the ball of my foot for three years without knowing what it really was. I had experienced no discomfort, but I went to my doctor anyway because I was curious. He recommended surgery that would involve huge knives and me being unconscious. As anybody would do, I freaked out. I left the office and found this website. Here is my progress:
Day 1:
I wash my foot thoroughly and place duct tape over the wart. I then secure the duct tape with strong medical tape and go to bed
Day 2:
I put clear nail polish on the wart, which is slightly smaller now. (remember the wart is a contagious virus! I would recommend that you pour some nail polish in a cup and use a q-tip to apply it because as you place the brush on your wart you're reinfecting yourself) I then cover the nail polish and wart with nail polish.
Day 3: I continue the nail polish method. The menace is getting smaller!
Day 4: Nail polish method continues, but this time I wrap my foot in Saran Wrap also.
Day 5: Continue nail polish, but I forget to put on the duct tape.
Day 6:
By now I am getting ridiculously impatient. After my shower I pick the halo around the wart off. Then I file down the wart until it is bleeding. After that I soak up the blood with a tissue, and wait for the wart to scab over. Then I put more nail polish on.
Day 7:
I put colored nail polish on the wart and cover with duct tape while the paint is still wet. The wart is almost level with my skin now! I'm so excited! :)
Day 7:

After spending a grueling two years fight off several planter warts on my left foot i tried acv and after several days i noticed they were coming off. I had tried surgury, s.acid, and duck tape. None of it worked except ACV. The only downside of ACV is the pain expierenced is throbbing needle like sensations that last several hours. Some nights i couldnt sleep well but it was worth the sacrifice of a few hours for the years of pain and stress. This was my process. Items: Duck tape, tweezers, cotton balls, scissors or a knife. Every night after a hot shower and before bed i soaked a small cotton ball in ACV and placed it on the wart. Then i applied duck tape and secured it for leaks. Then I continued this for every wart. Took me about half an hour each night. Then in the morning if the pain is tolerable throw some baby powder on your foot so it keeps any ACV from being soaked up by your sock and take it off at night. After three to four days the warts began to turn yellow. I then took the tweezers and gently peeled away the top layer of the wart and this exposed for the first time in years the pink new skin underneath. I didnt peel more skin than i had to with the tweezers. I continued this process throughout several weeks and they all feel off.

I had plantar warts that had spread across the ball of my foot below my left toe. I had the 'mosaic' pattern of 30+ warts that eventually crept up onto my toe and became regular convex warts. My foot looked horrible for many years. I tried every method of removal possible. These methods included store-bought remedies involving acid application and freezing techniques. I also tried home remedies including the duct tape method. Finally I consulted a doctor who tried freezing them (twice) with liquid nitrogen at $80 a session. Nothing worked. Eventually, I discovered my own method that turned out to be dirt-cheap and 100% effective. After observing the doctor's liquid nitrogen technique, I decided to buy two bottles of keyboard dust remover from my local office supply store. If you turn a bottle of dust remover upside-down and pull the trigger, it releases a super-cold gas (and liquid, at times) that you can use to freeze the warts. Simply aim the upside-down can (with straw attached) at the warts and spray for a few seconds until they become visibly frozen. This might hurt a little. WARNING: IT IS POSSIBLE TO GIVE YOURSELF FROSTBITE IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL!! Be sure to aim only at the plantar warts. I did this a few times a week for a month. They vanished. This was a miracle considering I had plantar warts for at least 8 years. BEST REMEDY EVER.

Don't listen to anyone who says to treat plantar warts at home. Trust me. I dealt with one for over six weeks. It was excruciating - like scissors stuck in the bottom of my foot. I tried some of these 'home' remedies, but to no avail. I am trooper; I can handle pain. But this was ridiculous. I couldn't walk, let alone do my daily runs. Finally, I went to the doctor. One needle later, he removed the wart, and I was pain free. Of course, the cut had to heal, but two days of that healing vs. all the trouble and pain of trying to get rid of the wart on my own was completely worth it. I don't know who the hell these people are with the home remedies, but they are simply no match to the quick and efficient podiatrist who made me whole again! So beware Internet fools - home remedies when it comes to plantar warts means days and weeks of needless pain. Go to the doctor!

Treatment for plantar wart which worked for me
-----------------------------------------------
1) dipped my feet daily in extremely hot water for ten minutes before sleeping.
2) rubbed the wart daily with garlic clove and also taped garlic clove on wart for two days every week.
3) a coat of salicylic acid 16% daily in morning.
4) every night ten min of meditation -> visualising that a white light passing through my body and healing particular wart points on my foot.
Within a week all of plantar wart were extremely dry and started shrinkin and no pain there.
Showed it to doctor and he said all plantar warts are dying and my immunity system is kicking them out now :)

Plantar Warts can be easily and effortlessly removed by soaking the foot daily in your own urine which is sterile when it is eliminated and packed full of acids that kill the plantar wart virus - collect morning urine and soak 30 to 60 minutes - soreness will fade and warts die off in a week or two - depending on how pervasive the warts are to begin with.

Wipe the affected area with nail polish remover (acetone-based), and then cover it with clear nail polish and let it dry. Repeat every 12 hours. Both my warts (one of which I've had for six months without any results from other remedies) became grey/black, hard, scab-like things. About 2 weeks into it, after wiping with nail polish remover, I went at it with a pair of tweezers... and they both came out fairly easily! I am repeating the remover/nail polish routine for another week to make sure it doesn't come back. Oh, and I am throwing away that pair of tweezers. :) SO HAPPY THEY'RE GONE!

I had a planter wart for about 7 mos. During my research on here I was not real thrilled to do this so called ACV remedy. In looking further there was one posting that mentioned PROPOLIS from bees. I bought the 70% solution online for $16.00 including shipping. This was by far the best remedy. All I did was shower - file down the area with a pumus stone, apply solution, cover with a bandage, repeated only once a day for 4 days and that was it - after 4 days it was gone. I am so thrilled I can't even begin to tell you! I read horror story after horror story of pain and duct tape on here for weeks on end. Screw that I am glad I saw that one posting for the Propolis. I am so grateful to you - whoever you are!
People don't waste your time with all that duct tape, gorilla glue, and ACV pain. BUY PROPOLIS 70% you will not regret it.
PS Do not spill this stuff as it stains! I learned that the hardway! lol

I had a huge plantar wart (as big as a quarter) on my right heel as well as 2 smaller ones surrounding it. I also has a small one on the ball of my left foot. After months and months of trying the OTC stuff, I finally gave in and went to the doctor, had a needle shoved into my heel (it was the anesthetic so it, itself, was just a needle in my foot, worst pain I have ever felt in my life) and had the damn things carved out of my foot. The aftermath was not bad at all, considering that once the ones on my heel were carved out, I had a good 1/5th of my entire heel as a gaping hole. There was little to no pain since I could walk on the balls of my foot instead (and on the heel of my left foot since that one was also, after being painfully anesthetized, carved out as well. There was actually little to no pain, and I was able to even drive myself home after the surgery. This was about 7 years ago.
My point of that was, though, that the anesthetizer was so painful in itself, than when I found another plantar on the balls of my right foot and a small one on my second toe above it, that surgery was already opted out, no matter how efficient it was for me.
I started reading through here and am going to try the neosporin and duct tape method, tied in with the salycilic acid because I want these damn things gone, but I can not afford to not be on my feet all day at work, and the pain from the ACV just seems like more of a hindrance in that aspect than help.
What I am going to do though, since mine are all still under the skin and not raised, is use the acid to kill enough skin above and around it so that i can stick a big blob of the neosporin right on top of the viral area and duct tape it completely flat and leveled out, that way its more potent. Starting tonight (or this morning at this point) and will update in a week.

I dont know how ANY of you guys can do the Apple Cider Vinegar treatment thing..... I went to try it tonight to help get rid of my plantar warts. But I only had it on for 2 hours then I took it off because it is TOOOOOOOOOOO painful. I been in some serious pain for about 30 minutes now from it. I would NOT and I will NOT tell anyone to do this treatment. Everyone says it works, but never says really how painful it is. It's been extremely painful for me! I would rather have the surgery again over trying this Apple Cider Vinegar nonsense.

ALOE VERA.
It has to be fresh off the plant.
NOT a shop bought gel etc.
Squeeze the juice onto the wart daily until it turns black and falls off.Thats all you need to do.TRY IT.
It took me about 3 weeks.
Nothing else works.
Dont waste your money on dodgy chemical remedies.
I normally use it on sunburn so i thought why not try it.
Its not a miracle.Its a natural substance.

This is not the first time I have had plantars warts..... I had 2 that I went faithfully to the dr every week for a year to get 'burned' to no avail.... I finally had laser surgery (which left holes in the bottom of my foot that were an inch in diameter and at least half and inch deep.. and I'm NOT exaggerating). I thought I was finished with the whole ordeal ... then about 2 weeks ago I noticed ANOTHER wart..... I found this site while searching for remedies and tried the cider vinegar..... the very first morning after I applied the vinegar the wart was black... that was 5 days ago.... today i was able to peel off the top layer of dead skin and reveal new skin... i think I'm on my way to being rid of it... with NO SURGERY! YAY! I do have to say I have found that the vinegar method is painful.... right now my foot is throbbing at the wart site under the vinegar soaked cotton but SOOOOO worth it if this progress keeps up! Thanks to everyone who posted their experiences!!!
