Lupus Home Remedies:

Lupus is aggravated by stress (which brings on flares). It is nearly impossible to eliminate ALL stress, but it is possible to diminish stress by: eating a proper diet (no alfalfa sprouts), staying well-hydrated, relaxation techniques, n (often overlooked) sufficient SLEEP.
My Lupus tends to attack my GI system pretty regularly--causing me to not absorb nutrients efficiently (most notably, Potassium). To offset, I started drinking a full glass of water with a Tblspn of honey (raw, unfiltered, n made locally when possible) n a Tblspn Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV). I also take it in my herbal hot tea (chamomile usually) at night.
This ACV drink acts as a tonic--it flushes toxins from your colon, relieves gout, helps with allergies (hay fever), n a myriad of other things. But I personally take it to restore some of my Potassium n help flush out my colon/kidneys during a flare. Well, an amazing thing happened--not only was my flare shorter n less severe, but my interval BTWN FLARES has increased! Kid u not, I went from going to the ER several times per week, to going once/twice per month! I am currently receiving no other treatment (except during flares), so it couldn't be attributed to anything else. Just wanted to share, as I'm always looking for answers as well. :)

Get plenty of vitamin A in the diet. This is found in fruits and vegetables with a red or pink color.
