External piles were ruining my life... after trying everything, I heard that keeping them dry allows them to heal. So, I grabbed some baby powder and slapped some on. I kid you not, within 5 days, the piles had shrinked and within 2 weeks, they were gone!
Try it! If your piles aren't caused by diet, this should work! Even if they are caused by diet, changed that and then use baby powder. It can cause a little itchiness, but it's mild.

Take 1 tsp cayenne pepper in 8 oz of water and drink 2 to 3 times daily.
It sounds counter productive - like it would burn and make things worse, but it really does work! My husband suffered for years with hemorrhoids and has been free of them for 5 months after drinking this for one full week.

After trying many things over 3 years, I found that Tucks suppositories work! The ones that have an active ingredient of topical starch. They keep the area dry and protect the skin tissue, allowing healing to take place. Very good.

For Hemorrhoids soak a cotton ball in Witch Hazel and leave on anal for about an hour. Do not place in anal.

This is an excellent remedy for those suffering from hemorrhoids -
1. Lie flat on your back the ground. Place your palms flat on the floor.
2. Exhale, lift your buttocks off the floor, and bring your knees to your chest.
3. Raise your hips and buttocks towards the ceiling very slowly.
4. Bend your elbows. Place your hands on your back.
5. Stretch your feet and move your feet away from each other.
6. Breathe normally and hold this position for 5 minutes.
7. Come back to the original sleeping position very slowly.
Practice this whenever the hemorrhoids begin to pain or itch. It gives instant relief.

This is it. Small Ice Cube, Cotton Ball, Witch Hazel, Mineral Oil and Juice.
Place Cotton Ball soaked with Witch Hazel to spot with Ice Cube. (not inserted) Twice 1 day until shrinked. When using bathroom, wipe with baby wipes soaked in Witch Hazel. Take 1 tablespoon or less of Mineral Oil with Juice every morning. Avoid using harsh toilet paper. Avoid foods which cause constipation. Eat plenty vegetables drink plenty water, juice. Thank Me Later.

I have been suffering for years... tried the vicks vapo rub..Oh my God! What a relief! I was unsure at first but soooo glad I tried it...took the pain and itching away within minutes hopefully it will shrink them after more applications...thank you!

This worked really well for my husband every time. Boil three banana peels in about 2 cups of water. Simmer until half the water is gone. Add sugar to enhance the taste, I use rock sugar or raw sugar. Drink the water. It works over night. Keep drinking this until the hemorrhoids are gone. Usually takes about two days. He is now drinking banana peel water once a week to prevent it from coming back.

To relieve hemorrhoids dab a little vicks vapor rup on the area. A cooling sensation will be felt immediately and if your hemorrhoids are painful this will be welcomed. I apply the vicks two times a day and the hemorrhoid ususally shrinks within a day (24hrs).

Take 2 garlic cloves and put them in about two cups of water. boil them until they become soft and place the pot with the steaming garlic below you. Sit above the pot for about 15 minutes until it cools down. It shrinks them and stops the pain. Most the time it cures them...

For external hemorrhoids I recommend applying ice in a plastic bag directly to the area. It may sting a little at the beginning but it doesn't last for long and does wonders in both numbing the pain and relieving the inflammation from the hematomes. For additional longer term relief I applied KY lubricant gel to the area which is perfectly hygienic and helps a lot in reducing friction to the area. I also applied apple cider vinegar which probably helped. Thing is, doing these things I went from not being able to sleep from the pain to not feeling a thing (the inflammation has yet to fully come down) and all in just two days, after having had them for more than four days before.

Spray some cortaid cortizone spray on the affected area. Then, put some gold bond medicated powder on the same affected areal. All these products can be bought at walmart. I swear by this. It really does work and very good. Cortizone is in the suppository doctors prescribe for hemorrhoids and the menthol in the powder cools it down. Great combo

Set a large jar of Vicks VapoRub in a small pan of low simmering water to melt. Add 1 cake of Camphor (from pharmacy)stir til completely melted into the Vicks. let cool. Learned from a Latino neighbor when my mom had 3 bleeding hemorrhoids hanging out after 5th child was born. She made mom apply this inside and out for a week or so, 3 or 4 times a day. Mom made this for friends in need for the next 40 years. She said it saved her.

You're going to think I'm crazy, but in my quest to get rid of self-inflicted hemroids and trying EVERY single remedy I could find, I started thinking about how heat had a positive effect on hemroids. So, if a hot sitz bath could shrink hemroids, what if I used a heat source to speed up the process? So, I grabbed a hair dryer and on a low setting and blew hot hair on them. I've done it once in the morning when I get out of the shower and then once before I go to bed. This reduced the size of the piles and the itching. Now, you might feel a little burning, but if it's too much, just stop and try again later. It might take a little while. It's taken 4 days for my external piles to reduce in size and now they're gone!

Avoid rubbing with toilet paper. This aggravates the hemorrhoids. Wash your rear with water and gently wipe with toilet paper after you are done. Fill up your bathtub with warm water and sit in it for 10-15 minutes every evening.

This has worked wonders for me several times. With the birth of each baby I would have a really hard time with hemorrhoids. Then after a bout with pneumonia with all the coughing & sneezing I was in agony. A nurse told me to peel a small clove of garlic, prick it with a knife point & insert it into the rectum...it worked immediately to kill pain & itching & healed me up very quickly:-)

Make your own wipes for Hemorrhoids. Place paper coffee filters in a plastic zipper bag. Squeeze in enough Witch Hazel to saturate. Much cheaper than the over the counter hemorrhoid wipes or even the baby wipe option with the same active ingredient.

this is not a 'home' remedy, however...take three fiber capsules a day, and apply Prep H cooling gel (not the original formula, which never did me any good) to the anus.

Make sure to get your stools softened and keep them that way daily with medicinal fiber or half cup of Fiber One daily. If your stools don't stay soft on a daily basis the hemmoroids will not heal and will return easily after they are healed.
During a particularly bad flare up, I wasn't healing very quickly even with soft stools. So I took prescription strength ibprofen (three or four capsules) for a couple of days to reduce the inflammation. It dramatically sped up the healing process. After suffering off and on for a year, I realize that I must have sufficient fiber daily for the rest of my life to prevent recurrence. ANY straining will cause flare ups again. Not worth it!

this worked for me...i had the most painful huge hemorrhoids, i have never been in constant pain like that, i tried everything, i mean ice, heat,epsomsalt baths, anusol, i wiped myself with baby wipes, wore loose clothig whenever possible, and i am sure all this helped, but one day i was in the shower, and i put, noxema on my hemorrhoids, oh it was instant relief, i put alot on, and continued to finish my shower, by the time i rinsed all off, the cooling was still working and gave me relief for at least an hour.
i hope someone else gets some help from this.

Two points I've used everyday for about 12 years-
1) Always finish cleaning after bowel movements with a baby wipe to get completely clean down there.
2) My father taught me this one- after shower or bowel movement, get some castor oil, and rub a little on the affected areas (not too much- it'll dribble on your drawers). The lack of friction makes for maximum comfort all day.

1) Do not use toilet paper. Use medicated wipes instead.
2) Drink plenty of water and take some fiber supplement.
3) Take shower after each bowel movement
4) Ice your hemorrhoids to relieve the pain.
4) Take Calmovil Hemorrhoid Remedy - it has bioflavanoids - the good stuff from citrus fruits without the irritating acids. calmovil.com
5) Don't be afraid to go to proctologist!

Regarding creams for itchy hemorrhoids / piles. The cream Scheriproct didn't work well neither did the Ultraproct which was a doctor's alternative for the Synalar Rectal cream. I applied them them daily externally but the itching continued with both creams. I am not sure if they had any effect at all.
So I obtained Synalar Rectal Simple from the Internet and after one application externally there has been no itching for several days. That is how I remember it working, just one infrequent application is enough for days or even a week or more.
Not sure what the difference is but the Synalar main ingredient listed in big letters on the tube is Fluocinolone acetonide which is not present in either the Ultraproct alternative nor the Scheriproct.

If you are having problem with hemorrhoids then I have a solution for you that will work. Get the extra strength Monostat 7 for women's yeast infection. Use the insert to get as much as the cream inside the rectum,especially if our hemorrhoids are within. The secret is that the Monostat 7 has a blood thinner that will decrease the swelling of the hemoroids....I have had no problem is 6 years and the doctors wanted to do surgery at first....It works.
