Lay down on your left side. It works! Even in the hospital when you have a colonascopy they have you laay on your left side to get the gas moving so you don't get the pain in your shoulders. When I was pregnant my dr. recommended it to me too for I had horrible problems and was very painful.

The old fashion exercise 'the bicycle' where you lay on the floor & push your feet & legs up in the air like you are riding a bike. The key is to get your hips up off of the floor too. Instant cure for gas. All that pedaling gets things moving inside.

It's not 'what'' is in the hot liquid, or in the exercise you're doing, it's all about doing something to get your body moving. Science proves that hot molecules move faster, so drinking any kind of hot liquid will work, be it tea, coffee, just plain hot water. Also, moving you're body warms it up naturally, so doing anything to get you're blood flowing and you're body heat up is enough to cause the same effect as drinking something hot. Simple remedy, and it works.

1. Lie flat on the ground on your back. While inhaling, lift your left foot towards your chest very slowly.
2. Hold your foot to your chest with your hands for 10 seconds (hold your breath).
3. Slowly release the foot while exhaling.
4. Repeat steps 1-2 with the other foot.
You will keep passing gas while doing the above.

1. get a hot warter bottle of a microwaveable heat pack and place it on your stomach right below your ribs. this will expand the gas and force it out.

2. lay on your stomach on your bed and prop yourself up on your elbows, the pressure will force the gas out.

3. sit on the toliet. your body thinks your having a bowel movement and the gas will flow lol.

One word: GINGER

Eat it, swallow it in small pieces with water, put it in your tea (don't boil it), what have you. But one way or another, ingest as much ginger as you can. Within reason :)

Believe it or not, lie on your back with your feet elevated at a 90 degree angle. I'm allergic to almost everything I eat (most likely gluten/dairy however I'm not good about checking labels) and experience uncomfortable gas and bloating often. I like to avoid medicating myself whenever possible, and after having spent half of a night in pain I was desperate, so I propped my feet up on a wall at about 90 degree angle and was shocked at the relief I felt. You can also press your knees into your chest for 10 seconds and return your knees to the 90 degree angle as this gets the gas moving. You'll be surprised at how well this works!

Pour a cup of hot water over a quarter teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and a half teaspoon of ground ginger. Let it steep for at least five minutes (ten would be better), and drink. You can strain it if you want to, but it's not needed. If the taste bothers you, you can add sugar or honey to sweeten it.

My aunt recommended this and I have tried it. She said when she was recovering from a C-section, the doctor said to rock in a rocking chair and it would help dissipate the gas. It worked wonders, but as I don't have a rocking chair anymore, I rock back and forth while seated, and it also works.

A tea with 1 of the 3 ingredients being Slippery Elm works well for relief. (ie; A combination of Spearmint Leaf, Rasberry Leaf and Slippery Elm would do great as mint also aids in tummy aches) This was suggested when I had an acidic tummy and worked excellent. (You'll need a filter for the Slippery Elm as it's in powder form, like a coffee filter to hold all 3 ingredients in a pot of water.) It's very good! A substitute of lemon instead of the Rasberry may even further the potential along with it being a hot liquid to ingest and get things going.

I tried laying on my left side for a while, it worked for a little while but the pressure and discomfort came again,
then i tried moving around and doing the exercises but that wasnt much fun especially in the state i was in. So after hours of just waiting for the gases to come out i went and made myself some tea and sat up in a chair while drinking it slowly and finally it worked. I guess hot liquids is the right remedy for me.

Try to avoid foods that cause it. Fast foods can cause severe gas. Cut down on broccoli, dairy, beans, cabbage... anything that makes you have gas.
