Hey guys, my Mother in law suggested This to me and i thought she was crazy but it has worked so well. I melt a peppermint stick into an ounce of water, let it cool, and then during feeding, let him nurse on one side, give him the ounce from a bottle, then let him nurse from the other side, he passes gas and tends to sleep for 2 to 3 hours. Good Luck hope this works for you

give the baby 1 or 2 tsp of chamomile tea in their bottle during each feeding i did this with both of my babies and you will notice an immediate difference. I was very unsure of doing it but my mother in law insisted and it worked wonders

I found that when my baby was colic, his grandmother made peppermint tea, with real peppermint. Boil the tea leaves and strain and then add water to the bottle, let cool and give to baby. Also I found that a warm bath helped too, or even a warm towel(put in microwave) and then on baby's abdomen helped also. Gripe water...Didn't work at all. Doctor also said that colic only lasts until 4 months..and what do ya know...baby turned 4 months and POOF was gone!!

Boil one cup of water then pour over a teaspoon of anise, fennel, or cumin seeds. Let sit no longer than 15 minutes, then after cooled enough for your infant, let him or her drink. Works wonders.

You can also use fresh mint, but only use one or two small leaves, and follow the above directions.

take a whole white onion, peel it, cut it into chunks and put it into a pot of water, enough to cover the onion and let it boil until the onion almost disappears. let it cool down and give half of a small (baby) medicine dropper.

Get plenty of vitamin B6. Good sources are creamed brown rice or brewer's yeast in applesauce.

PROBIOTICS! PROBIOTICS! PROBIOTICS!

When my 3 week old son started becoming a 'coliky' baby and cried every night at 9pm on the dot - I knew something had to be wrong. I first cut out all dairy - especially milk and then got him immediately on probiotics. Just get the kind at the health food stores that is in powder form that is formulated for infants and children. I would put a little olive oil on my nipple and then pat the powder on before bedtime every night and it worked like a charm! In 3-4 days it was completely gone! I think dairy is hard for some to digest and then the probiotics help their little digestive systems function properly.... good luck..

colic- 2teaspoon of soda pop it helps the baby burp up the gas. And don't heat the bottles, when you heat up the bottles the heat is what causes the gas to build up. room temp is fine.

When I brought my son home from the hospital my mother instantly recognized the colic and sent my father to buy catnip tea, I was terrified of her giving it to him but she told me to trust her that she had raised 5 of us and she knew what she was doing. She made him the tea and gave him some, instantly the crying stopped and WE BOTH finally got some rest. Of course I got my I told you so from my mom. I also found out that when there is no catnip tea handy try running a vacuum cleaner, my son would instantly stop crying and star cooing, but you are stuck listening to it till they fall asleep and you can ease it away praying that turing it off doesnt wake them. Both worked really well for us.
