It works people.. But what I did was a little different. And it's absolutely amazing!

Coco butter.. The cream in the 15oz jar. Not huge bottle of the lotion.
Raw cane sugar. The brown kind with big crystals
Coffee. A caffeinated dark roast. (better it smells, the better you'll smell. :))

In large bowl. Scrape out coco butter cream.
Add half the box of cane sugar. (it's alot, it will look similar to tapioca pudding,)
I used a 10 oz bag of coffee. (cheapest on the shelf because I am a broke college kid)
Make coffee grounds finer if you want to (I did)
Add all but about 2 oz (bottom inch or two of the bag)
Stir in a little at a time.
Wa-la. It's a miracle. Put this black salt scrub back into the original container. And you WILL have extras. So tuperwear or whatever to store the rest.

Now go to the shower.
Wash hair, put in conditioner. Just pull it into a pony and Leave it in :)
Let hot water beat on your cellulite areas for a few minutes. For me it was my inner thighs and stomach.

Shut off water. Apply Scrub to cellulite areas. Be generous. After your body parts are covered (you'll feel like you're one with the amazon) begin to message and exfoliate the skin. It's a bit rough but it's worth every flinch. :)
Massage. Massage. Massage! Butt. Legs. Tummy. Calves. Arms. Wherever.
Do this for at least 10 minutes. (bring a radio)

When finished rubbing. Turn water on.
Wash from top to bottom. Feel smooth? :)
You may have tiny bits of coffee on you're skin but that's okay!
Do not try to was oily feeling from skin.
Pat dry with towl. Look in mirror.

Your skin will look beautifully shiny, and you WILL see a huge difference in the dimples on your skin!

Ladies you are beautiful.

I'm also pretty thin, I've always been 5'4' and maintained 115 lbs, give or take 5 lbs of weight gain in the winter... However, when I was pregnant with my son I did reach 150 but lost it pretty quickly and back down to 115. I've had cellulite since I was young.. probably started around 15, but now that I'm 32 it's definately increasing. I'm curious to try the cofee grinds, but I will admit that the Nivea Q-10 Firming lotion does minimize the appearence of it somehow, if you use it 2x a day. I've been using it for 6 years or so and it's great. It won't replace exercise or watching what you eat, those are key, but for me I know it's mostly genetic. I've seen my aunts and they all have it, and I'm very aware of it and have been since I was young. Genetics do play a roll in having cellulite, I have seen some over weight women not having any cellulite.. and yet thinner people can have it as well. I also do ashtanga yoga once a week which DEFINATELY helps and Pilates is great for minimizing cellulite appearence too... I'm not a fan of dieting, but I do try to stay away from fast food and eat healthy when I can.. BUT every now and again, you need to treat yourself because life is too damn short!

Coffee grinds! Just take the morning grinds from your machine and buff onto your skin in the shower. I do this every morning and rinse after about 5 minutes of exfoliating with the grinds (thighs, stomach, whatever). After the shower, MASSAGE on a cocoa butter+ vitamin E + collagen lotion or oil (Palmers). Whether it's the caffeine and the oil, or just the act of exfoliation and massage, it makes my skin soft and firmer and reduces the pinkness of the stretch marks.

ok listen to me, cause i'm pretty smart when it comes to this! :D

Temporary solutions:
-tanning (doesn't make the bumps any smaller, but they're less noticable; for the skin cancer worried people, go ahead and use a storebought tanner)
-exfoliating then moisturizing with sesame oil
-coffee grounds? yes! but do it the right way!
-those 2 dollar masks that you find in wal-mart or dollar stores
-as for storebought products.. remember: your skin is a live organ! if you couldnt put it in your mouth (dangerous chemicals) you shouldnt put it on your skin! and say no to pills! only consider a cream if you know someone who has experienced evident firming results from it. (ps. the lady behind the cash register.. her testimony doesn't count!)

Long term solutions:
-put your feet up! keeping legs elevated while watching tv, reading, etc.. helps in the long run
get the foods/nutrients that your skin loves!
-honey and lemon (help rid your body of ama and kapha buildup)
-cranberry juice, onions, chlorophyll-rich foods, (highly recommend wheatgrass.. too many benefits to name!) green tea, vitamin A/Protein/amino acids etc etc!
excercise.. cardio, strength training, stretching, (windsor pilates are my favourite!)
lastly-don't stress! your mind does have a powerful effect on your body!

Now just for the record, keep in mind that over 90% of women (all shapes/sizes/ages)have it, and up until the 70's, it was just known as flesh! vogue magazine gave it the name 'cellulite'... it's not even a medical term! its because of all of the fancy lighting and airbrushing used in magazines that women have come to think that their dimples are unsexy.

I purchased the Nivea cream you can get at CVS and it seems to be working. Just know its not cheap. Plus water and exercise isn't the answer for everyone. Thin people like me size 4 can have cellulite too. I'm not losing any weight to try and get rid of it. I'm thin enough.

I have found that sweating and promoting good circulation have helped a lot. Try Bikram Yoga, running sprints, and drinking lots of water. Also, try this scrub in the shower: Coffee grounds, 1-2 tbsp oil (olive, seasame or apricot), dash of salt, dash of cayenne pepper, several dashes of cinnamon and tbspn Honey. It seems to help... The caffine in coffee tightens the skin, the grounds promote circulation to the region, the cinnamon and cayenne draw blood to the surface promoting circulation to the skin, the honey disenfects and the oil naturally moisturizes and keeps the skin supple.

Ok..I come from a line of women that believe a lot in home remedy.
I have my first child ten years ago and right after I had here, the weight was on and off, and eventually I started to notice the dimples behind my legs. So I went running to my grandmother so here it goes.

In a pot boil water about 1 gallon.
1 Ginger Root cut in 4 pcs.
8 leaf of Lemon.
6 leafs of Mint.
1 cup of Apple Cider Vinegar.
1/2 cup of coffee ground.
1 tablesppon of canyenne pepper.
6 leafs of peppermint.

Bring to a boil and drain all the liquid into another clean pot. Place 6 bandage wraps inside the hot pot w/ liquid(u can buy at the 99cents store in the bandages and first aid aisle) take the pot into your shower, it can get messy. Take on bandage and squeeze just a bit of liquid not to much liquid now wrap one bandage one by one, usually three in thigh. The warms the better not to hot you may burn your skin, place two wraps of plastic to hold the heat locked in. Leave on for 25 min. Drink plenty of water afterwards. Lay off fatty foods for the period of the wraps. Especially dairy after 7pm. It won't work unless you take care of yourself in the inside.
It work wonders for me and on top I lost 15 lbs and so far kept it off.

Good Luck Ladies =)

I am a pretty thin girl, but still suffer from cellulite. I believe it mostly came from my diet. I have dramatically reduced the amount of fast food I eat, and this has helped significantly. Results however were not immediate, and the problem has not completely gone away. I am going to try the coffee grounds remedy and doing more massaging of the area. Hopefully this will help. I also heard that Apple Cider Vinegar helps and adding milk thistle to your beverages. I'm also going to try both of these. Thank you!

Cellulite doesn't have to do with age; exercise or exfoliation even If you have liposuction it won't remove cellulite, so much for the person who calls themselve pretty smart. Cellulite is formed when your cells are weak so all that junk you put in your mourh causes the fat to be attached to the layer of your skin causing dimples, cottage cheese lookin skin. the only remedy is to eat Healthy foods like omega 3 ex: fresh fish; flaxseed fish oil vitamins it causes your cells to strenghten.

My thighs and butt are disgusting and I am always covered up in the summer. Several years ago I picked up a book called 'The Liver Cleansing Diet' by Dr. Sandra Cabot. I tried it out for 2 weeks (but stopped because I was working full time and it was too much work) and in those 2 weeks the cellulite MELTED off my body!!! I have never seen anything like it! I also lost 10 pounds. I am trying to find my book so I can try again. You can order it from Chapters (around $32?) and if you want to know more you can find Dr. Sandra Cabot online. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

cocoa & honey. Mix 1 pkg. hot cocoa mix with 3 tablespoons of honey. Make a paste, smear it on butt, thighs & stomach. Let set for 20 minutes.(I used to wash my hair in the bathroom sink to pass the time) Wash off with warm water in shower.(It will NOT clog your drain...it melts)

Take regular baths in Epsome Salt (especially nice after a good workout because it soothes your muscles too so you reduce cellulite and you won't be sore!)

and of course proper diet and exercise

I am also one of those 'skinny' people with cellulite. I've tried creams, but it can get very expensive since you have to keep doing it otherwise they cellulite comes back. Has anybody bought any books or 'cellulite systems' that they can recommend? How much do they go for? And how much should I be willing to pay? Don't want to overpay.
Thanks in advance for your help.

So i am 17 and have stretch marks and cellulite . I weight 110 pounds talk about unfair right? Anyways i came across using coffee grounds to get rid of cellulite because of the caffenine in them they tighten skin while expoliating .. (sorry for the terrible spelling) just mix some used coffee grounds with some olive oil or warm water amd rub on ur skin.. Put a towel down its messy .. Leave on for a few mins u can also wrap plastic wrap around it for like 10 mins and then shower off.. My marks and cellulite have really improved.. Repeat a couple times a week . Good luck ladiess

I am pretty slim. I weigh only 127 pounds and I am 5'5' tall. I do have big butt, though, which I like. I exercise and eat healthy but I do have a cellulite that got worde over the years.
I started making these wraps with equal amounts of epsom salt and coffee grinds (used). I mix them together, add a bit of water to get a paste, put it on my thighs and butt and wrap them with a plastic food wrap. I put tight shorts over in and walk around the hous doing chores for abour haf hour. 2-3 times a week and my cellulite is reducing nocieably. However, it's hard to be consistent with it, when you're busy. Plus, it's really messy, so you need to do in the tub. It also drips when you walk around, so you need to wrap a paper towel or something arounf your knees. You don't want coffee to stain your carpets while you walk around with it.

Sorry girls... there are some people who have it and those few lucky ones who don't... and they will get it once they hit 30-ish!! It's a fact of life. The only way to have less is to exercise. There is an AWESOME machine called an eliptical that works your legs and booty plus gets your heart rate to an aerobic level (you can add an arm movement if you wish)....beware it took me about 3 weeks to be able to do this machine for more than 20 min. For the first week I could barely do 5 min! Keep in mind I had 5 children less than 6 years apart! I had gotten to 213 lbs at 5 4- I was a chunky monkey! I'm currently at 170 and honestly...I've watched what I ate and exercised 5 days a week for a month and a half each time to loose 10-ish lbs each time and then maintained it for 3 months at a time. Learn to loose slowly and maintain a little at a time.. then you don't have to give up so much at a time!!
