Get your eyes checked out by an optometrist!!! I have worn glasses all of my life and your vision changing is the most common cause of eye aches. If that doesn't work, cool wet tea bags, any kind, can do wonders. Place on your eyes and flip them over as they get warm for at least 15 minutes. Mint works especially well if you have an accompanying headache.

Use an ice bag (or an ice cube wrapped in a dishcloth) to cool your eyes. This also works very well for eye pain caused by excessive exposure to sunlight or arc welders.

Mix equal amounts of powdered liquorice and cumin seeds. Every day for a month, take 1/4 teaspoon of this with a teaspoon of honey.
