I hope someone reads this because I want to share my experience with everyone and the results. I never knew that angular cheilities even existed until it happened to me. I was always tired either at home or work, even if I rested and had a day off. My co worker told me to check my blood at the doctors to see if I was anemic or something like that. I didn't that was the issue. Then in the begining of August (2012) I started to get the early signs of A/C. I tired treating it with Blistex, Chapstick, Carmex, nothing worked. Then the cracks started. Painful slits in the corners of my mouth. I started Googling like crazy to see what this was all about.

Then I knew I had it. I read so much stuff online, you'd think I was digging for gold.

I decided on the Tea Tree Oil, Vitamin E oil and Vaseline. I mixed 2 tablespoons of Tea Tree Oil, 1 tablespoon of Vitamin E oil, and 1 and a half tablespoon of Vaseline in a small tupperware container.

That same day I started taking Woman's Ultra Mega vitamin from GNC and a Vitamin B supplement.

I would apply the homemade ointment 4-5 times a day. Careful not to accidentally get any into my mouth because it's a foul tasting thing. I took the vitamins 2 times a day. morning and night. By day 3 they sores were almost gone.

I hope this helps someone out there. I tried using anti fungal cream(Vagisil) and it didn't work for me. So maybe this will help someone out there too. Just make sure you are constantly applying the ointment and taking the vitamins.

FYI: Vagisil is not an antifungal cream. It only controls itching--same ingredient as Lanacaine.

I have been suffering for close to a year it is so uncomfortable. I was told it was yeast given a steroid cream. Thank you for posting I am going to mix that up today and start using it.
I am a bodybuilder and know that I push my body to extremes without always supplementing the way I should so making sure I'm caring for myself in this manner to avoid this horrible condition in the future is a done deal

I went through all the home remedies and nothing worked. otc antifungals calmed it down a bit. Finally went to the Dr and got a prescription for mycolog, a nystatin and steriod combination. Cleared it up after 4 days! This is after a year of trying everything else I read and researched about. Get a prescription, folks.

I'm glad whatever you folks tried has worked for you. I did what I did and it worked just fine with out a prescription. But if thats what worked for anyone else, then thats fantastic and I'm glad you're not going through that anymore.

I used the Vagisil because I had read it online and it didn't do anything for me. Luckiloy the Tea Tree Oil, Vitamin E and Vaselin and multivitamins did.

Best of luck to all

After suffering with angular cheilitis on and off for years I tried your tea tree/ vit e/ vaseline remedy. Within 10 mins of first application the stinging reduced, by next day the cracks were healing over, by third day cracks (and more importantly pain) gone completely. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I'm trying the home-made cream you recommended today. I'll be taking the vitamin b-complex as well. I hope that works. I would have to say that the cream is already providing soothing relief. I hope it heals my condition completely as I'm so desperate. Thank you.

I read it's a deficiency of one of the B vitamins that causes the cracks in the corner of the mouth. I don't know which one. Further research is needed to get that answer. But if you get the vitamin B complex with the 11 ingredients you'll cover all the bases and prevent it from occurring in the future.
