I can't believe I am going to say this... I was in total disbelief that the tea bag would work... Being in severe pain, and my dental not kicking in until the first I was desperate... I used a black tea teabag ran it under HOT water for about 2 minutes, and placed it on my tooth for about 15 minutes... Since I am pregnant, and this pregnancy isn't going smooth as it is, I didn't swallow any of the tea (which led to a bit if drooling lol, thank goodness Hubby is underway for 2 weeks) needless to say, THE PAIN IS GONE! I mean completely gone... I've been using orajel liquid literally every 10-30 minutes for days, along with tylenol and that didn't even provide me nearly as much relief as this did... Granted the tea kinda tastes funny in tea bag form, but trust me, ITS WORTH IT!!!

tylenon isnt the [pain reliever you need, you need Ibuprofen, which is an antiinflamatory for an abcess.

So after 3 full days of pain, I realized that I didnt have a sinus infection...I had an abscessed tooth. Unfortunately I found this out after the dentist office was closed for the day. I was in unbelievable pain so I was down to try anything that may help. First I tried peanut butter...didnt help at all. Then swished vanilla extract around and even applied it directly to the abscess with a Q-tip...that eased some of the pain. But what really helped the pain was the tea bag, all I had was green tea bags so I put the tea bag under hot water for 2 min then stuck it on the abscess for about 15 min. That took away the pain so I was able to finally sleep most of the night. I woke up at 3am and the pain was back, so I put toothpaste directly on the abscess and went back to bed, not only did it take away the pain but when I woke up at 6am the abscess was gone and so was the pain. I can still tell there is infection under the tooth but the pain is gone. I called the dentist this morning and scheduled oral surgery for Monday to have the tooth cut out and the dentist called me in some antibiotics, so Im hoping the worst is behind me.
